I bought three of these sets for my very thin 7 year old . These are just perfect for hot summer days. They are a very thin lightweight material ( silky polyester) but super soft and not stiff. It was like pajamas for him. They came just in time for a cruise and packed like nothing. My son is only 43 lbs so everything is big on him but the shorts in the waist were a little big so I just rolled them over once and they were fine. SIze is true to size nice loose cut and for the price can't beat it. perfect to wear as outfit or play sports in. Very pleased with purchase. The material is very thin though.The line going down sides of shirt is the stitching but I think that is the design meant to show. Its cute comfy cheap and neutral. Sometimes nice to not have child in logo or saying on t shirt once in a while
