Our doberman has had coat issues the last few years. Finally diagnosed with yeast we changed her to a very strict diet. She made great improvements. We were told she might possibly never be able to go back to kibble. We tried a few name brand 'grain free' dog foods on recommendations. They were not truly grain free. I continued to search for something she would actually eat that meet the requirements for her condition. She was still making improvements with her coat when I happened across Just 6 at a WalMart miles away from us. I bought it and she LOVES it! She has been on it probably a little over 6 months and her skin and coat are looking better than ever. Fur is soft and shiny again. Her actual skin is smooth and appears normal again. I realize it is not a true grain free dog food, however, the limited ingredients have been a lifesaver for us. We have to order online or take long trips to find it in store. So occasionally we have used another Nutrish brand kibble we can obtain locally. She happily eats it, but she does break out a little. Just 6 from WalMart offers an incredible value for a limited ingredient quality kibble.

The product seems good. I may have to change to a different food because my dog is still itching. BUT... the delivery from Wal-Mart wasn't so good. The bags inside the shipping box were torn open and food was spilled out into the shipping box. Wal-Mart you need better Quality Control

I have a Chinese Crested, hairless, and he gets bad acne. Painful acne. We were recommended another dog food that was 3x the price. We bought it a few times, but he was still breaking out. On a whim I bought a small bag of this, and I have never been more pleased. 3 months later he has not had a breakout. I also don't have to dive 45 minutes to a Pet Smart to get it, so again, it saves on money.
No matter if you are a fan of Rachel's or not, the woman produces an outstanding product when it comes to dog food.

Not good for my dog

I've switched to this food recently and I've been mixing the old food with this one, I noticed a change in the stools, he's been pooping more often and bigger stools.. now that i'm done mixing the food and he's only on this one.. he poops 4-5 times a day!! He even had an accident in the house. and the stools are .. massive. He used to go twice only.
It's not a good brand for my dog at all. He's definitely not staying on this brand.

Has kept our dog from scratching or having ear infections for the two weeks he has been on it. I am happy with the product although it would be much more convenient for it to be available in larger bags as I have a medium and large size dog. Also, all you can buy in the store is the 6lb bag which is a bummer and all the online store will let you purchase is 2 bags at a time (which means you cannot receive the free shipping offer unless you purchase something else.) Walmart needs to offer the bigger bags in store or allow more than 2 to be purchased at once.

My dogs both love this food! They have sensitive skin and would gnaw on their paws so the vet suggested it may be a food allergy. I switched them to this and it seems to be helping! This bag is the best value I've found. One did come with a rip so it took a few emails to Walmart before it was remedied; they did send a new bag to me so I was happy with the end result.

AT LAST!! A dogfood that isn't loaded with corn and gluten and wheat, and all that stuff. My little girl is 11 years old, and already she's becoming more energetic and playful though I've only been feeding her this dog food about a month. I was already buying Rachel Ray's, but really jumped at this when it came up on the computer. I'd been getting Rachel Ray's "Just 6" treats for several months, too. (That oatmeal and berries smells good enough to eat myself.) Anyway, Sassy is doing much, much better on this diet. I will buy it forever. NOW, if Rachel would only come up with a good healthy food for CATS. (I have one of them, too.)

Our Dogs Tummy problems have cleared right up, firm bms ...Plus less Oder.
All in all this is a keeper dog food. after 9 months of searching.It is the best we have found.
He seems to like it. the smaller chunks of food help with his swallowing. He is a husky/shepherd

My 7 yr old 90 lb. German Sheppard - Black Lab mix, Diesel, woofs down 4 cups of this a day. I've been feeding it to him for about 6 months. Before I was feeding him Organix and I realized I was spending more on dog food than I was my own food! His coat has always been shinny and he hasn't had any problems digesting it. I brought him up to Canada for a couple of days and at the doggie day care he had no problems with their food. When I had him on the expensive food if he had even a bowl of anything else he would get sick. His energy seams high and my only compliment is they don't sell it in a 40 or 50 lb. bag.

This food has worked out very well for our mini doxie. She had been on a good food before, but must have developed an allergy to it over time because she began scratching a lot and it was not due to fleas. Switching her to this food has pretty much fixed the problem, and she loves the food. I'll also mention that is more affordable than some of the other premium foods available. Great value!

I just bought this dry dog food for the first time. I liked the idea of less ingredients because I know a lot of commercial foods are full of dyes and fillers. My dog liked it right away and after he eats his wet food, he eats this. The other dry food I used to buy would sit for days and I often threw it out because my dog would only occasionally eat it.

My dog doesn't actually like any dry dog food, no matter how expensive it is, but she seems to like this! Amazing! and it looks to be nutritious with minimal additives so we are both happy campers now! Also, it is much cheaper at Wal-Mart online than at my local grocery store and they send it right to my door!

As most dog owners know, the quality of a dog food is best and truly revealed by how much of it goes straight through. Not only does my dog not like this food (she actually resorted to eating trash for awhile before she realized I wasn't going to change it yet), she poops about three times a day! Which is way more than when she was eating a more expensive brand.
I think most people gave this good reviews because they have confidence in its claims and in Rachel Ray...but no clue how their dog's body is supposed to react to quality food.
Fail, Rachel.
