I got this camera because my cousin won it on the Ellen Show so I figured it was good. I purchased it after watching the price drop to $99 every so often. When I had the money and it was on sale I immediately jumped on it! I couldn't wait to use it when it arrived. I wouldn't spend more money on any other camera this one is perfect with all the necessities. Even has option to buy additional cameras for more children!

Not what I expected

The first day I set this monitor up it was blurry and I could hardly see anything. The color was also off and kept switching to night vision which made it even harder to see. By the next day it seem like the color was all faded out and it was just black and white. I can't even make out what my daughter is doing. Expected more but I will be returning this!

I have been so happy with this monitor, I wish I would have found it a lot sooner. We have went through 5 monitors and after a couple days they have all started having a bad static noise in the background or would just cut off, so I was thrilled when I saw that this monitor did not do that. We bought an extra camera because we have two rooms that we wanted to be able to view all the time. It is so easy to switch between cameras to see each room individually or we can watch both at the same time. At night I was having to get up every five minutes to check on my son because he will get out of his bed,now I can relax and just watch him on the monitor. I also love that I can zoom in on my son when he is playing in his room so that I can watch him better. I was also worried that the picture would be to small or not clear, but the size is perfect and it is very clear even at night. I love the talk back feature as well because if I have to run to the other side of the house and my son starts getting in to things I can tell him no no!! One other thing we had problems with on other monitors is that we play music or ocean noises in the bedroom and the other monitors would always pick up the noise from that and wake me, I love that on this monitor I can adjust the sensitivity to the noises so that it only comes on when he cry's, or if i want to hear every noise he makes I can adjust it to that. overall I would definitely recommend this product to anyone!

We recently purchased the two camera bundle and I must say I am very surprised by how great this product is. I wasn't expecting the picture or sound to be as clear as it is. I love that I can watch my toddlers room and infants nursery at the same time. The only complaint I would have is that I wish that the multi-camera view would allow me to see a bigger picture divided in half on the screen vs. the quarters it is, but this could be my own personal preference. If you are looking for a good video monitor but don't want to pay an arm and a leg, look no further.

Suddenly the monitor stopped linking to the parent unit. When I try to re-link it, it works only one in ten times, then drops the link after only a few minutes. Very disappointed. Why do small electronics in general, Fail after only a short time period. Grrrr. Aggravating.

I was hesitant to purchase this video monitor because of the reviews that said this monitor had horrible video quality. I'm sure there are video monitors with crystal clear picture but this one isn't horrible. I have our camera set up on a tripod (yep it has a tripod connection) 2 feet away from our baby's crib and the picture quality is good. I can see everything, even enough detail to see his chest moving up and down from breathing and this is in black and white video because it's dark in his room. The video color when there is light is a bit washed out (meaning it's not vivid color) but you can still see everything perfect. The sound is fine I can hear him when he wakes and that's good enough for me. For the price I think this video monitor works great. I'm sure the 200+ monitors are great too but this monitor is a great deal and serves its purpose well.

Ive owned this for less than a week. The video picture is good, it has a good range, and you can even zoom in. However, the audio has declined already and Ive had it for several days. The audio will go in and out, Ill hear the fan in the room on second, then not the next. I'll be walking around doing chores then realize that the volume "clicked off" without me touching it and I have to turn it up again. I like having two cameras linked to one monitor though, great feature. I really hope the audio doesnt get worse :( The battery life isnt bad yet, it lasts about a day and starts dying at night, then I charge it to get ready for the next day.

This monitor has a better picture than my previous video monitors. However, the sound does not go up as loud and if you have 2 cameras linked up and are viewing both cameras there is no sound (this would have been nice to know prior to my purchase). Overall, a nice monitor with a few short comings.

We have a 2 year old and a 6 month old. We use the 2 cameras for each child's room and the monitor works well too. It shows temperature of the room, an intercom to the child's room and the volume goes down until the monitor senses noise in the room. We like it and would recommend it.

I purchaced my 1st monitor about 8 months ago when my daughters Summer Infant Monitor finaly died. I liked the fact that there wasn't so much static background noise and that i could talk back to her on it. Just got my 2nd one yesterday for my sons room and wasn't thrilled. His parent unit the volume cuts in and out every 3 seconds (kept me awake most of the night) i tried everything and it keeps doing it, it is going back tomorrow! but now...my daughters parent unit is starting to do the same thing! ugh! i am so upset! it is still under warranty so i am going to see if i can return that one to vtec. and get it replaced. such frustration!
but if you have just one kiddo it is a good monitor, we have been really happy upto this point!

I love the two way intercom and the color video, has zoom too, camera's are adjustable, can be table or wall mounted, wall mounts included. I am using this for my senior mother who has movement limitations, but she doesn't know it (lol) so I can see if she tries to get up and I can talk to her from the other room, this should be marketed for everyone not just for babies. Senior Cams, yeah!!
