My first choice in a manual breast pump was the Medela. I heard it was the best and it is the ones hospitals use. Since I could not afford an electric one, I use the manual for everyday use. My Medela one loss suction and I needed a pupm ASAP. I bought this one only because I was low on funds.
It's big and bulky. You cannot change the funnel, so if you have large breast you will not be able to use this. It squeeks and it takes forever to pump.

(to set the context, I've only used electric pumps which cost 10x more so maybe I have too high expectations for this pump.) I really thought this pump would be great, it looks well designed and ergonomic. However it is just not an effective pump -- the suction is so weak you might be better off just hand-expressing. The silicone shield is really comfortable and does help with let-down, but the milk can get trapped behind the shield which is annoying. The one thing it does have going for it is it's very compact and portable, so you could use it while you're traveling, or keep it in your bedroom for a quick early morning pump.

Weak Suction

I've only used electric pimps before and this was my first time using a manual one. I felt the suction was very weak and I was getting tired of expressing the milk by hand. The box says that this pump is for "Occasional Use" .. so if you don't want to buy a good electric pump and need to have one on hand for once in a blue moon use , u can get this,, but i would not recommend this for frequent use.

This product is a pain to use. After a few pump your hand get tired. It doesn't work well and it leak from the side. I would not buy this product or take it if it was giving to me for FREE. DO NOT BUY!!! IT A NO NO ;(

I thought this would be a good manual breast pump but its not. It barely sucks and it takes too long to get 2 oz. Do not recommend.
