loads fast, works great, fast, perfect for everyday PC use (School, work, net surfing, social networking, and other simple tasks).
This is NOT a gaming computer. Although loading and playing a few didn't harm my Son's PC, but it can slow things down. If your a gamer I wouldn't recommend this PC, because you'll burn it out with-in a year. If you buy it anyway I would HIGHLY recommend the extended 2 year warranty, keep the receipt and the packaging as well.
This PC will watch movies just fine, but I wouldn't over load it with them or download them (watch, not download).
This is truly a magnificent computer for everyday use, you will not be disappointed.

first I am computer stupid. the one i replaced was over 10 years old but i was comfortable with it because I don't like change, but it finally died. I really don't need a ccomputer for anything but maybe a few farm charts, FB and shopping for holidays so i didnt want to spend much. this is an excellent computer if you don't want to spend much. very easy to set up except it came with picture instructions not words so connected the wrong cord so it didn't work but HP customer service figured that and my internet problem within seconds. the only thing it doesn't have that i need is a card reader but that is my fault, i just assumed all computers had them. LOVE IT. OH THE THE ONE I REPLACED WAS ALSO AN HP PAVILION

I bought this by mail. The computer is very good but the monitor is broken. It works but my screen gets covered with lines, large black spots. I don't have the time or money to exchange it.
I like the computer but due to being sold a broken monitor I worry the computer will also break.
Next tie I buy in perosn so I can exchange it in person.

My mom is 87 and needed a new computer as hers was sooooo slow...she uses it for basic stuff like e mail, pictures and skype with the great grandkids...We saw this one online and it looked great, the price was right and had good reviews. Now it doesn't have a lot of horns and whistles, like a webcam, you will need one but, for just a basic computer you can't go wrong. Mom loves it.

This computer does not have conventional power supply or additional harddrive bays. no provision to add more harddrives or optical drives.
Since 1990, & multiple desktop computers never encountered one without conventional power supply. This computer apparently connects power to motherboard. May be possible to install conventional power supply, but no bays to install additional harddrive or opitical drives etc.

i bought this computer to use as desktop for just ONE thing to edit my youtube videos. this desktop is sooo slow. i mean my emachine computer was less speed but it was faster processor than this one. this computer crash one or twice a day while watching youtube videos. first of all it wont even load up youtube video that quick. every time you open video on youtube you better hope its not HD or this computer will lag the whole video through. i recomend this pc for kids only who need to learn about desktops.

THIS HAS BEEN AN AWESOME UPGRADE FROM MY LAST HP THAT WAS 12 YEARS OLD AND COULD ONLY UPGRADE TO 1MB OF RAM, SO FOR THE PRICE AND EVERYTHING INCLUDED IT IS GREAT. SETUP WAS HARD BECAUSE THE MOUSE THAT CAME WITH IT DID NOT WORK, BUT I HAD A WIRELESS MOUSE THAT HP SUPPORT HELPED BYPASS STUFF SO I WOULDN'T HAVE TO BOX THE ENTIRE THING UP FOR JUST A FAULTY MOUSE, AND THEY SENT ME A NEW ONE SO NO COMPLAINTS HERE!

It seems to run slow if too many windows open, but could be my ISP. Also the preloaded Microsoft Office preloaded program is worthless unless you purchase the main one as in you cannot print word documents without buying the full program.
