Slow, freezes, blocks, can do without it. I took it back and switched out for the Dell referbished which is faster and cheaper. I was pulling my hair out with this Compaq, and it just wasn't worth the frustration.

My 1st computer 13 years ago was a compaq & I loved it, so when my husband's 9 year old emachine died I bought him this compaq. The price was right & I wasn't looking of anything fancy because he only uses it to surf the internet & play a few games. To my surprise it had more than I expected, so now it's keeping him busy trying to figure out all the new things & how they work & I'm loving it...lol

I'm very pleased with this computer. It's fast, starts in a couple of minutes and has been a pleasure to use. I'm not a gamer. I use it for internet, mail access, general word processing, graphic design, photo editing and CAD drawing. I also live stream Movies. Start up was smooth and seamless. The machine assumed the role of being the network hub just fine for file sharing but Windows 7 would not allow our Vista Lap tops to print to our Lexmark printer over the wireless network. My Window 7 laptop prints fine over the wireless network as does my XP computer through a wired connection. I haven't burned a CD or DVD yet but anticipate no problem. I recommend this computer with no reservations Walmart shipping was great. 2 days for me.
