I ordered online and couldn't believe how fast I got it. I play games on it and I don't think I will have to upgrade the video card too soon. The 1tb hard drive is quite spacious and yes it's fast. Surfing the internet is speedy. I recommend this computer to anyone on a budget. It's worth the price.

I'm not a gamer, I do photos, lots of video, e-mail, presentations,tons of music, and this desktop is terrific! It is very fast, very concise in its displays, and with HP's usual dependability-this is my 3/rd HP! When I set it up, it zoomed into easy operation;cool, quiet, responsive, with "Beats Audio",too. I bought this as mine was old and dying but this is not made to work with a common monitor as it requires a dvi-d cable which is not common on most computers so did not even get to use it. had to return it for a regular one. it does say reguires a dvi-d cable on the box.

I bought this computer last week. I started setup, only to find out that the monitor output from the computer does not match my monitor plug. My monitor is less than a year old, Samsung 22" LED HD capable. It has a VGA plug. I do understand that the DVI plug is the newest technology, but would have appreciated there being some kind of warning somewhere, that the computer has DVI monitor hookup only.

Good thing you mention the blue vga connector vs. dvi type....i checked mine & sure enough mine's vga, too....another darn piece of equipment to buy but glad not pricey (other person commented under your post & at least it's under $10 for adaptor).

This is an easy fix. If the store you bought this at does not have one you can find an electronics store and get a DVI to VGA adapter. ($6-10 depending on where you look).

Unbelievable there was nothing mention that you have to have a special monitor. I just bought a brand new one and I now have to take it back.

I bought this thinking I could hook up to old monitor, too. Dvi is all it has. There is an
adapter you can buy to hook up old vga to new dvi. And I LOOKED around on the Box and it DOES tell you that its DVI. I think it needs better warning!

No Cons that i can see at this time, Runs alot better than my older Custom built, Windows 7 64bit Sp1 alot more enjoyable as well--Video is excellent, Gaming is Excellent, Might get an HP monitor later on in the Future to go along with it, but my 17inch Gateway monitor works just fine as well, 1280x720 screen resolution.

I was extremely happy at the price of this computer when I paid for it especially since I already had TV's I could use for the screen. However, after opening it I soon learned this is not for your average user and why? Issues, issues, issues. Upon getting it running I try to log on to the interne and guess what! This computer has no WIFI card seriously. I went and and used cables and first thing I downloaded was antivirus and guess what. The internet did not work anymore! It took two hours to realize if you don't run windows update a lot of antivirus software will cause issues (yes I uninstalled Norton first).
This is my third day and my 1gb graphics card gets in today but I'm not pleased with this purchase so far in terms of quality. It is cheap but If I had to do it again (already spent 150) so far on upgrades I would just buy a more expensive one. And my last grievance is that for all the speed this thing has it freezes a lot if you install one thing you don't know is incompatible.
So for those who skipped to the end, if you don't know much about computers don't be cheap and go ahead into the 600-800 range.

I wanted a beefy pc for a while. I was eager to see what this pc could do, so I went to youtube to see if I could find a review and found nothing except for one person playing Mine Craft. I finally received my pc three weeks ago and I got to say I LOVE IT. I can play Skyrim,Test Drive unlimited, Fallout 3 and well almost all new games on it.....This little pc is very capable. I edit and convert videos ,I can use Photoshop with ease. I would say to the people who happened to buy one that had problems was a dud. It happenes, ram can get dislodged when the box it dropped, or you might get a bad power supply. I love my new pc and would recommend this bad boy to whoever needs a good easy gaming pc.

I bought this desktop pc for music production and personal use, and I am very pleased with my purchase. This computer is pretty strong and didn't take long to set up at all. Music production is very demanding on computers and this model has handled everything I have thrown at it with ease. I also play a few computer games such as Call Of Duty, and I haven't come across an issue yet.
For a short budget, this is a computer you want your hands on. Just expect and initial snag when purchasing; note that it does not have a VGA output. A DVI-D capable monitor is required, so you may need to upgrade that as well.

This computer is awesome for it's price. If you want to do any mid-level gaming, this is a good PC to get, regardless of what the other reviewers may say. I can play The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Battlefield 3, Dead Island, Batman Arkham City, Sniper Elite V2, Portal 2, both Fall out 3 and New Vegas, both Dead Space and Dead Space 2, Saints Row: The Third, and many others, all in retina-scorching 720p. I got this PC a few weeks ago, and it is a great PC for the money I am going to max out the memory this weekend. I don't do a lot of gaming on a PC I have my xbox 360 for that so this system had the power I needed it is easy to make a backup disk with this system to put it back at the default setting.

Bought the HP Computer for my daughter. She & my son-in-law are thrilled with it. The over all performance is very good. The speed is one of the best I have seen to date. I set it up for them and was very pleased with the ease & performance. It is much faster than mine is. Since speed is the one thing I appreciate most in a computer my next one will be a HP.
