I have a tight budget, so this laptop was great price-wise. I am impressed at how well it works for my needs, like web browsing, Facebook, writing, and even has an HDMI port so when I plug in the HDMI cable (not included) to my HDTV, my TV becomes a giant monitor! It's my favorite feature, and I have been using the TV as a monitor ever since I got the laptop.
ONE downside: My laptop keyboard seems to have some problems with not entering a letter here and there when I type. Otherwise, it's good.
I recommend getting an HDMI cable and a laptop bag when you buy this.

I am pleasantly surprised with how nice this computer is. No problems at all. However, if you are looking for a computer with a loud sound system to play music on, this is definitely not the computer for you. I have to strain to hear the music or video at full blast volume. This is the only part I was greatly disappointed in.

I purchased this computer one month ago and found it unbearable to use. It is so incredibly slow, that it is almost impossible to do anything. Trying to compose an email, maneuver around common websites (eg: yahoo, CNN, etc.), or perform very simple tasks is virtually impossible. It is very frustrating and we are hardly using the computer, even though it is only one month old.

I wanted a laptop to have when I go away on my mini - vacations . I gave my gateway laptop to my nephew . I wasn't sure if I'd like the Acer Aspire 2635 . It's a great little laptop , meets my expectations of a laptop . I would recommend this laptop to my friends . Good value for the price .

Overall, this laptop seems to be a great bargain. I find that it does what I need, and so far, has not given me any problems. Like I said, so far, no hangups, lockups, etc.. Everything on it works as it should.

I bought this because I was limited on funds. It was the best buy for the money I had. HOWEVER, I think next time I'll absolutely scrape more $ together or just plain wait. The sound on this is very poor. I have to wear my headphones to hear it. Mind you, I can hear it, it's just a strain to listen especially if the fan or anything else is on. (I could hear just fine on my other laptop, and my current desktop pc is fine, so I know it's not my ears.) Also, it continually freezes. I have to X out of the internet and then reopen it. It's irritating but still functional. I'm going to buy an audio bar to fix the speaker problem. I wouldn't buy this again.

I got this computer for my 15 year old son. He had a netbook and wanted a bigger laptop. He loves this computer, he can do what he wants on it. He plays video games, does school work, and checks facebook. We, as parents, are happy with the value, it is a great computer for what he uses it for.

My expectations were high- I need a fast laptop to work online from home. This one was great for the money, but I just need something faster and that can manage several tasks at once. Also, typing on this keyboard took some effort, and everything sits somewhat on the left hand side- not where I'm used to place my hands when typing. Otherwise, great price for a computer for emails and such.

Purchased for someone else, but took it out of the box and set it up. Everything loaded fine. The CD/DVD drive is noisy, other than that its a good laptop. The best price we could fine at the time of purchase. Boots fast, has 4 gb of ram and has a great backlit led screen display.
