This is the best grill I have ever owned if you are looking for a awesome grill at a great price this is it. It took a little bit to put together, but so well worth it the combo fuel is awesome it is a great addition on you can have some good smoked taste on one side and have the burgers and dogs going on the other. I would buy this grill again no doubt.

Cheap for a reason

We have had this grill for a year now. We purchased it because we like both charcoal and gas grilling. It was wobbly from day one. Felt cheap, looked OK. Even under cover of a porch and a cover (and it was ALWAYS COVERED by both, except when in use) it completely rusted and fell apart. One year is not nearly long enough for a grill to last. We are really, really disappointed by this grill.

Review 3 for Backyard Grill 750-Square Inch Dual Gas/Charcoal Grill
Not as bad as I thought to assemble (me and my 10 year old did it). Nice and sturdy, don't look cheap. Had some dents from shipping (not bad, slightly notable). Overall very happy with it....

Review 5 for Backyard Grill 750-Square Inch Dual Gas/Charcoal Grill
This grill works really well, since setting up we have used at least once every day. Grills nicely on both side. Good control on heat. Had a bit of a issue with one of the leg, it had a dent, otherwise assembly was straight forward.

Review 6 for Backyard Grill 750-Square Inch Dual Gas/Charcoal Grill
This grill is fantastic because we can use charcoal or gas, or both at the same time! Some things are just better on charcoal. My husband put this together at night after work and didn't even cuss one time. The only problem he has is that the lid sometimes closes when he doesn't expect it to. It needs to have something to "catch" it on so it doesn't slip shut. Great grill, glad we got it. My husband looks happy when he is grilling.

I bought this grill about 9 months ago. I keep it covered yet it rusted within 6 months. Now the gas line has a whole or became disconnected from the starter and and a flame shoots out from the starter and the burners don't get enough gas to heat up. I have looked at trying to fix it but you have to take a few panels off and you need the right tools. Do not buy this grill! It has a 90 day warranty.

This took way too long to put together. I buy ikea, do home improvements, etc. so i'm not afraid to put things together and get my hands dirty. This was ridiculous and could be considered a cruel joke putting this monstrosity together. Let me be up front, YOU ARE BUILDING THE GRILL FROM THE GROUND UP!!!! Not putting on doors and attaching legs/casters. You are putting together the fire box, inserting each heating element and wiring this junk together. Unless you are looking forward to spending your weekend with an erector set instead of grilling, do not buy this product.

Review 12 for Backyard Grill 750-Square Inch Dual Gas/Charcoal Grill
So far I have only used the gas side of the grill and it works like a charm. My only problem has been how long it took to put together. I went step by step and never got hung up on any steps and it still took me nearly 4 hours to complete. This is the first grill I've purchased unassembled so I don't know how long it usually takes but 4 hours seemed pretty long.

While I haven't had the grill long enough to tell how it will hold up, so far its doing great.
First positive was the buying experience, I purchased online and when I went to the store to pick up the grill I was informed that I was getting money back due to a price drop, not bad considering I didn't have to ask and ended up with $40 bucks back in my pocket.
There are lots of parts but the instructions were decent except for a few screws I couldn't find but they ended up already being screwed into the burner. Everything fitted together perfectly, you can tell they built this with assembly in mind but it did take a couple of hours so have a few beers or beverages on hand.
Its important to cure the grill as noted in the instructions or you can always find alternatives on youtube.
For the money, this thing has plenty of nice options, adjustable charcoal grill, removable pan, and side burner, and a charcoal / gas combo, all for around $150 bucks. I plan on keeping it covered and cured once a year in hopes that this will last a few years, it's not stainless steel so I'm not expecting it to last forever but long enough to get a few good cooking seasons out of it.
I'm making one modification which is to cut a hole in between the charcoal and gas grills, will fit it with a sliding vent door so I can open it up and use the charcoal side as a smoker box for the gas grill side.

Review 14 for Backyard Grill 750-Square Inch Dual Gas/Charcoal Grill
At first, I wasn't too happy with the price because it was originally listed at the store for $154. Then, when I ordered it, it jumped up to $198. The store employee said all the prices went up on the grills for this year. ($48 increase? seems a bit excessive) Anyways, I figured with the quality of the grill (going by the store model that was displyed) I thought it still was worth it for less than $200. I did site-to-store because the store that I go to had no idea when they were going to get more grills in. I could have bought the store model, but I wanted to put it together myself and also didn't have a truck to haul it home, as it stands about 4 feet high and about 5 feet long (fully assembled). When I brought it home and unloaded all the parts, I was a little overwhelmed. There are several parts, large and small ones, and the manual had 36 steps in it to put it together. The hardware comes in a very organized and sealed container and are marked very clear. I was very impressed with that and the grill went together so smoothly, I couldn't have asked for any of it to fit together better than how it did. Definitely set aside a good portion of the day to assemble it, but the end result is a great looking, good quality combo grill that should perform as well as it looks. And the Veranda grill cover fits it perfectly! (Light tan cover with darker tan bottom, size Large) I have not cooked with it yet, but I plan on using it very soon. If any negative feedback should arise after using the grill, I'll be glad to share it on here. Oh, and one more thing. Make sure you buy it this year, for next year the price may inflate to $250 or better! lol

We bought this grill for our son and his wife as a welcome home present May 2012 when he got out of the Army. They love to grill with both gas and charcoal. Even tho it is kept covered it has rusted so bad they can`t even use it any more. I was going to return it but it only had a 90 day warranty. Will never buy this brand again. And will defiantly check for a longer warranty.

I bought this grill a month ago. It took about 3-4 hrs to put together. I always look at the manual first before starting to put together that way you'll already know the order to put together. The option to use charcoal or gas is the best. Once its put together make sure you cure it before use. I love this product.

I've only had this a few weeks and have used it a few times. So far I'm satisfied with the grill. The wheels don't like to turn so it will roll easy. Was kind of difficult to put together...a lot of steps. Overall I'm happy with the product.

We bought this grill last year. and covered it so it was out of the elements for the most part except for the occasional oops its raining. We thought we would love it because sometimes we like gas and other times we like charcoal. We went to go and use it 2 weeks ago due to it being winter we don't grill much at this time of year. The WHOLE inside is rusted from sitting outside, the bottom has rotted out and the inside of the grill is all rusted. Wouldn't recommend anyone buying this especially if you live in New England!!!

Very nice. a bit cold outside, but couldn't resist using it. Did a great job, we are real charcoal lovers, and the choice of gas for convience is great! Absolutely love the way the charcoal grate can be raised or lowered, depending on the degree of heating you prefer. Just absolutely great!
