I've only used it 3 times so far. It starts on the first pull, makes nice, even cuts is light weight and easy to push. The wheels are very easy to adjust. I had a Murray mower several years ago that lasted about 15 years until I bent the shaft. (hit a root). I hope this one lasts as long.

great little mower if you don't need to mow a large lawn. It cuts perfects and starts on one pull. My only disappointment is with the folding handle. The design requires you to unscrew and remove two bolts in order to free up the handle to fold and collapse. I have a small shed and folding the handle each time I put it away is a convenience. It's not worth doing it with this mower since it's a more complicated process than other mowers where you just need to loosen the bolts and then fold. Nothing terrible, but if you are buying this with storage in a small space in mind, it's a bit of a process. Otherwise this is a quality machine and a good deal at the price.

For the money, this mower can't be beat. It starts effortlessly on the 1st or 2nd pull. I have used both the bag and mulch cutting modes. The mower deck must be a very good design as virtually all clippings went into the bag, or were finely cut and evenly distributed when mulching.
This mower replaces my self-propelled unit (another brand) that I had owned for 16 years. I was reluctant to get a gas operated push mower as my front lawn is somewhat steep. This Murray is so much lighter and easier to maneuver than my old mower, I wish I had made this purchase a few years ago when the self-propelled feature on my old one was failing.
I was considering the model with the larger diameter rear wheels. These are recommended for a rough or irregular mowing surface. Then I saw where the regular sized rear wheels are best if you have to maneuver and turn the mower around a lot. There is less distance from the tire to the wheel hub, so there is less sideways strain on the wheel. Sorry to get a little technical.
The height setting for the rear wheels is well marked, but I have to look very closely at the front wheel height number. This is my only criticism and I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel to find a negative. Soon, I'll be able to just look at the mower to judge the front wheel height without looking at the number.

Very good product and did exactly as I wanted it to. Was easy to assemble and also I liked the fact it included it's first batch of oil for the motor. I used it in very tall grass and it didn't bog down at all. This is the first time I got a mower from Walmart and love it. Yes spring is here.

This is my first mower purchase ever, I had borrowed my dad's troublesome piece of work that only ran for about 10 minutes, so I went out and bought this. Overall it's an excellent build, it seems to burn through gas a bit quick, or just has a small tank, not sure.
The box said easy to start, which it is, but if you only mow the lawn once every couple weeks like myself, you have to push the primer button about 3-4 times, then you might have to pull twice, if that, to get it going.
I've had the side discharge clog on me once so far, the grass in the area was slightly damp and I could feel the engine bogging down quite a bit. I've used the bagger once as well, I don't recommend it unless you're really picky about your yard being clean, you have to stop every 15 square ft or so, depending on how tall the grass is to empty it.
Sometimes I wonder if I had gotten the other mower (same make/model as this) if the bigger back wheels would be easier to handle, my yard has quite a bit ups and downs in it, and sometimes is a hassle.
No matter what, I always recommend getting the extended warranty with any kind of machine like this, despite what reviews say, you could wind up with a bad machine, so I did, and knock on wood, no problems with it yet.

Am very pleased with this mower. It starts right up and bag is good. The only thing you have to be aware of is if you have many leaves to mulch, the bag gets full fast, it is easy to put on and off. I read on here that a person had problems starting it up the first time. We found on ours there was a part that had to be placed correctly to start it first.

Put oil in it an gas started on the 1st pull runs great! I had a more expense mower before and it isnt as good as this one. I love it would recomend it to anyone you just cant beat it!

This is a great hard working lawn mower. I have about 3 acres that I didn't touch for about 2 years and at some point I thought I need a riding lawn mower to get rid of the grass. But my friend told me to go ahead and get this one just to see if it works. I bought it and I was surprised that this small machine is cutting anything it sees. I ended up not needing the riding lawn mower. This is very strong and does the job great. It cuts, it mulch, it does everything. Its light weight so even if you have hills, its light to push, so you wouldn't have problem pushing this thing. Trust me this is the one.

We bought this yesterday, it was good putting together though it doesn't include instructions for putting the bag together. For anyone reading this the metal bar goes inside the bag. (this is our first mower and first time putting one together). Oil is included. We pushed the prime button 4 times and started up. Cuts great. We also bought a extended warranty would recommend buying the extended as if anything goes wrong it can be replaced. I find it easy to push and the yard I'm mowing is uneven. After researching the cheaper versions I found these reveiws to be the best for the mowers in this price range. Research what you are buying. This the mower with the best reveiws in this price range. thats why we bought it.

This lawn mower was pretty easy to assemble(basically just a matter of putting the handle and grass catcher together), started on FIRST pull, cuts well, and is SO LIGHT in weight and therefore so easy to push that you would never miss the fact that it's not self-propelled..I'm 55 years old and it is the BEST and EASIEST mower I have EVER used..All in all, an EXCELLENT value!
