Used the Norelco AT810 for more than 10 days. I get much closer shaves when using it with shaving foam. Very happy with the product. Charged it overnight before using for the first time and have not yet had to charge it again. I use this every day in the morning for a 3-5 minute shave. Would definitely recommend it.

This was a replacement for my Norelco 7845XL. This AT810 is lighter and very quiet. I used it for several weeks before submitting a review. I'm very pleased with this product. It provides a close comfortable shave and the battery charge lasts much longer than my old 7845XL.

The only problem is with all razors after a year, they need new heads. My husband likes Norelco razors very much and he will continue to buy them, until they fail him.. I am doing this review for him...

Battery life is greatly improved over the older NiCad batteries and the shave is smooth. The heads have been redesigned since my last norelco and its for the better. I have used this solely as a dry shaver and have had no irritation like my older norelco and I can even go an extra day now that the shave is so close. I have not had any problems with inadvertant switch turn on/off, but I do grip it towards the top when shaving. My only negative is the power cord plugs in flimsily to the shaver. I was used to the older norelco having a good positive plug in action.

Purchased a lesser price Norelco in a Walmart and took it back because it was totally plastic (what should I have expected @ $39). I returned the cheap Norelco and order this on line and I am really pleased. It goes to show that the cheapest may not be the best...

No More Blades

I had been using a name brand power blade razor but was becoming very concerned about the cost of replacement blades. Based on previous reviews I decided to buy this Norelco razor as an alternative to paying about $45 for blades for the next 6 months. After shaving with this razor for 3 times, I will never buy another razor blade. Shave is close and comfortable and seems to work even better when I use a small bit of shaving cream. An excellent razor which is very easy to clean and charge. I only wish that I had bought this razor 3-4 years ago. I would have saved many dollars wasted on expensive blades.

Razor is very quiet and cuts very close. I shave everyday and I bought the razor becuase I wake up very early to go to work and shaving with a regular razor takes to long. This razor is very easy to clean and the charge lasts a very long time. I can shave my face in about 3-5 minutes with this razor.

Beautiful Quality Works Great on My Legs

I've used various electric shavers over the decades and bought my first Norelco back in the mid 90's, a 5885XL, silver with the rectangular LCD that shows remaining shaves and displays when cleaning is needed (still love that model). This one I wondered how it would work since the last one a silver 8140XL was cheap quality and not very good, but I've been extremely happy with this one. I bought this one to shave my legs with for usual day to day use. I've hated the shavers that I bought before that are marketed for shaving legs. They work for a while but then leave a lot of stubble and sometimes pull the hair. So I decided to buy this since I love Norelco which is pricier than the others I've had but so far I've been very happy with it.
I'm a long time senior electronics tech who appreciates a well fabricated device and I'm very mechanically inclined with precision machinery so I consider myself a good judge of the quality of electronic and mechanical devices.
Oh, one WARNING for newbies to Norelcos; DO NOT EVER mix up the head's 3 cutters and combs! They are precision matched pairs and if you mix them up your shave will not be good! Given 2 weeks to a month of use they'll wear in and shave pretty good again but given how pricey replacements are it's a mistake you just don't want to make!
By the way I just repaired my old 5885XL and it looks and works like new.

Huge improvement over my last razor

I was lucky enough to get to use one of these razors and fell in love with it instantly. The razor I was using before used to always make my face burn a little and I just sort of got used to it. I have been using this new razor for a few weeks now and my face hasn't gotten that same burn once. I feel like I'm able to finish shaving faster since it's so much more delicate on my skin. I now get more sleep and have a closer shave!
