When I received the laptop I was a bit worried about it being refurbished, but it looked brand new which was great. It is light-weight, and I like the metallic finish of the body, which gives it a sturdy feel. I have used it to write papers for school and for streaming video and it has worked fine. I will note that I do not like the volume control. Sometimes I will hit the volume buttons on the laptop and the volume symbol comes up on screen but strangely will not actually change. And after repeatedly doing this without any effect, I have to mouse over to the icon on the bottom right of the screen and adjust it there. Not a huge deal to me but definitely something to note.

I love the size of this computer and the color. The programs that already come preloaded on the laptop are nice as well. I will admit that the mouse may give you problems here and there, but it is nothing you can't fix by adding another mouse. The speakers work great and the picture is a great quality for watching movies. I dislike the fact that you see the oil from your fingure prints everytime you touch the computer. But it is easy to clean.
I have had this laptop for about a month and I have used it pretty much everyday. I will say that I have not noticed any major issues. It's a great buy!!!!

I didn't want to spend a lot of money on another computer, as I have a tablet that I use a lot, so I thought I would try a reburbished one. I felt a little uncomfortable doing that but when I got it ....Oh my gosh, it looks like its brand new. The screen is crisp and sharp, the 6MB of ram make it fast, and the "finger print" security is a pretty cool feature. I love it!! I would recommend this computer to anyone ...it's a deal you can't beat.

I expected a scratch, a dent, a glitch ..... somewhere, something, NOTHING!! Not even a fingerprint. Refurbished ??????
This computer by HP is awesome. It is super fast and has more memory than I will ever use. It's way cool too! The screen is just the right size and the keyboard is similar to 'soft touch'. It's really nice. I wish HP would have put the numerical keys in the alphebit (and then you press fn) where the numbers would be in u,i,o,j,k,l,m, etc. but they didn't. ????? The keyboard is a FULL keyboard and is great to use. The mouse pad was GREATLY improved whereas ..... it works :)
Two fingers across and it scrolls, spread your fingers like the new phones and it magnifies, one finger to manuver the mouse and it works real well. Very happy. Would I recommend this computer to a friend? NO.... because I want them to envy mine:)))) Thank you HP and Thank you WalMart. Oh! Did I mention the fingerprint scan thingy? Type password, type password, type password, HA! How bout I type it once and I go onto Ebay, paypal, online, when I close the cover, when I turn it on I simply swipe my fingerprint and I'm in .... Sssssweet !

With 6 GB of RAM and a 640GB Hard Drive - this laptop has everything I need. It was easy to set up and go right to work (or play). I love the look of the case and the feel of the keyboard. The size is perfect for me also. I would heartily recommend this laptop to anyone who needs one.

I'm a college student studying advertising. I needed a laptop to install my adobe creative suite and microsoft office software. My main concern or buying needs were the number of GB and of course design. The laptop (which I'm on now) has definitely shown promise. Initially, I wanted to go with an Asus because I heard such great performance reviews, but when it came down to it I went the economic smart route. Great laptop, came packaged like new. My friends were all shocked when I told them it was refurbished it literally looks and performs brand new ( no scratches, dings, scuffs, marks, nothing). Move incredibly fast even with the adobe and office software install. Compact, light weight. Two things, the description suggests it comes with only 2 usb ports, this is untrue there are definitely three present and I expected to get the laptop shown in the description and I got a chocolate aluminum looking one instead (very sheek, I love it.) Finger swipe is convenient, works for my log-in, facebook, gmail, twitter, pintrest. Great buy!!! Happy I took the chance on it. Don't let the price scare you, it's definitely a steal!! Hope this helps!!

If you are looking at the computer and you think you are going to get it as it is on the display picture you're sorely mistaken. When I received my computer it was brown (copper), the display clearly shows a silver computer! I even ordered this computer and got the same brown computer twice. The computer itself has many features and stacks up well against others. I like this computer I'm just mad that I didn't receive what it shows you will receive don't buy if you're looking for the display but other than that it's a nice computer.

This thing is great. Was a little concerned because of marginal reviews on HP website but it is awesome. Sent a Lenovo Thinkpad back because of trouble with the touchpad but this thing is awesome. Stylish, light, and packed with power. Love it.

Its plain simple for those who want the simple things in life. alot of storage space, portability, fingerprint security feature, awesome battery to last a whole day, coolsense technology, wiDi, just to mention but afew. its a good value so why spend more for simplicity's sake!!

I bought this laptop because my dell inspiron was horrible and finally died after three years. I was really worried about buying this laptop bc its refurbished but the price was right and to my relief it came with absolutely no signs of wear(no dents no scratches), and it runs fast like a new computer. I am a college student and I've been using this pc to compute to school with. It is VERY light weight and doesnt bog me down at all. Also this pc has a finger print swiper which is just awesome. I can use my finger print to log on to my pc, facebook,hotmail and other websites. I mostly use this computer for internet browsing. I dont play online games but I am a computer science student and I can say this hp works great for programming. Oh and the battery life is amazing! I dont bother bringing the charger with me to school bc it can last for a good 5hrs. I only used the webcam once and it takes pretty good pics and videos but I dont skype so i dont know how it would work for that. It came with mircosoft starter-you get word and excel starter. I found that im fine with the starter versions because I can view files and create my own which is all i need.but because there is no powerpoint and a lot of my class notes can only be viewed with powerpt I downloaded a powerpoint viewer software from microsoft.com for free.
