Review 1 for Zap Master Handheld Electric Bug Zapper
Bugs get stuck, but otherwise good.

I bought this bug zapper like two weeks ago. I liked it and was having a lot of fun with it in the backyard. When we go out at night we get attacked by all kinds of bugs, especially as it is getting hotter outside. The first one I bought was a pink one, I noticed some of the larger bugs would get stuck in it. I am not sure if I was banging it to hard against the wall to get the bug wings and stuff out of it so it would work properly for the other bugs or what. The pink one stopped working right, so today I bought another one, hopefully this one will be okay.

My sister is a hero

I don't have a zapper, but my sister does. Her grandchildren asked her to kill the "very big scary spider" that was on their ceiling. She brought her zapper, had to climb on a chair and was just sure the spider would crawl down her arm, but it didn't. She said, "When I got to their house the spider was still on the ceiling and it really was big and scary. I was successful in sending the spider to that great spider web in the sky…may he/she rest in peace. I also accomplished being a hero to two very cute granddaughters." Sounds like something that I will certainly consider purchasing!

If you want to get your husband a super gift, buy him the zapper. Not only does it zap mosquitos but the red wasps don't have a chance. This zapper gets even the littlest fruit fly bugs. Keeps the husband happy and the bugs gone. It's inexpenseive and quick. Make sure to keep out of children hands. It's a must have.

Gnat zapper

Gnats have been harassing us! This thing makes ‘em pop! Now I can say, “Come at me gnats!”. Occasionally one gets lucky and makes it through the mesh, but this gets 99% of them. The popping sounds and the flash are very satisfying. The handle is a little long, but no big deal. Only had this for about an hour, but it works!

We bought 3 of these as soon as I saw them advertised but had to take 1 back because the battery compartment was defective. They do a really good job; however, I would really advise putting an on/off switch on these instead of a button that you have to hold down. It would definitely help people with disabilities like me.

this thing really gets the smaller flying bugs but you need some practice to hit the larger ones and flies that tend to be able to avoid moving objects.
gnats, moths, etc are easy targets but you have to be careful not to hit whatever a fly is sitting on and know which way the fly will move when it takes off.
The reason it did not get a 5 on expectations is that flies are hard to hit since the wand is hard to move from a dead stop to attack mode then keep it from hitting something besides the fly

I purchased at local walmart in Garden City, ID. Put batteries in and pushed button. NOTHING Happened. I don't know if they're selling defective products or just that one was a dud. What a joke. Return for refund.

I bet it was defective
Posted 07/25/2012
We bought one of these because of the fly/mosquito problem in our area. When it worked, it was fantastic! But it just stopped charging. I was on a roll, slaughtering flies left and right and right when I had the last one cornered, the darn thing stopped charging. And despite what the other comment says, you can tell when it's working even when not zapping because when you press the button, you'll hear a humming sound that tells you it's ready to zap. We've changed batteries, but it seems like the wiring just came loose, but it was fun while it lasted... which wasn't long.

I purchased this hand held bug zapper and I absolutely love it. At first I did not think it worked, then I used it on flies and zap. Have not had any shocks from it myself, however I did just purchase it today. I have used it for over 4 hours and love, love, love it. I would recommend this to everyone. Perfect gift for outdoorsy people too!

Blasting bugs has never been so fun!

I constantly get bit by bugs when my family is trying to enjoy an evening BBQ on the deck. There is a pond behind our home which I believe intensifies the pests. This handy little zapper is not only liberating but it works! Larger bugs are a bit more of a challenge, but once they hit the ground from the initial shock, I hold the zapper on 'em till I'm sure they have fried!

Satisfying Sound of Frying Insects

This particular model is truly the best "tennis racquet" zapper I have tried. And, I have tried numerous. Since they all pretty much look, and work the same way. The difference is the voltage that they produce. I can't find any specs on these. And, I don't have a multi-meter that can test that much voltage. But, I have seen some that claim to produce 4000 volts. Anyway, however much voltage it produces. It is wickedly effective! ZAP!

If you look near the battery door (at least on mine) there is a sticker that says it produces 2750 volts at 0.028 mA of current for a grand total of 0.08 Watts of bug shocking power.

Zapper good to stun 'em

This Zapper takes AA batteries... it kills the small bugs but only stuns the big ones... then you have to step on them before they come to their senses... I wonder if a Zapper that takes D size batteries would kill the big bugs instead of stunning them.

I bought this to use on those pesky flies that always seem to show up every time you want to sit outside. Not only does it work well but it's lots of fun too. Everyone wants to use it! We've been using it all evening and the batteries are still going strong. You'll want more than one so you don't have to share!

Swat them in the air.
Posted 05/13/2013
We visited some friends who take their dogs for a walk around sundown, and wave these around in general to get mosquitoes. My son was "getting" bugs, and having such a good time, they gave him one. He was wandering around here, knocking down some moths in the house to feed to his turtle. This morning, I had a fly wandering around the house... It wouldn't land, so I couldn't whack it with a regular swatter, so I got this swatter out. Not only can you whack a fly in mid air, this would be useful for the ones that leap off a surface just before you get to them, and avoid leaving squashed bug on the furniture/counters/wall..

These things are great it has been raining so much there are a ton of mosquitoes around. We have a couple of laying hens so flies are a nuisance. They work well but if the bug is big enough you'd have to zap twice. I bought 3

Good Zap, Bad Construction

The bug zapper does a great job on the bugs, unfortunatly, I can only give it 1 stars. It has a light weight feel, which is not bad, but the battery compartment is so badly done as to be a joke. Every time batterys are changed there is a risk of having it fall apart in your hands. I do not suggest anyone buy this, there must be a bug zapper that will do the job with better construction.

Got this mainly for mosquitos. It fries them like Colonel Sanders fries chicken. Larger insects it doesn't always kill, but knocks them down so they can be squashed. Appears to be relatively well made. Much better price than Amazon.
