The Sceptre 32-Inch Class LED 720p 60Hz HDTV with built-in DVD player delivers superior picture quality with bright color and clear 5.1 digital audio. With three HDMI ports, you can easily connect all your favorite HD components. This high-definition TV has a refresh rate of 60Hz and a 16:9 aspect ratio. It also features an LED display with an ultra-fast 6.5ms response time. The digital tuner HDTV with all-in-one ATSC/NTSC/QAM allows you to watch HDTV programs in digital broadcasts, and has a dynamic contrast ratio of 20,000:1 to provide a life-like viewing experience. This ultra-slim LED TV is wall mountable and has VESA standard mounting holes of approximately eight inches by four inches that are designed to fit most standard brackets. Note: In order to take full advantage of the Sceptre 32-Inch HDTV, you must have a source of HD programming. Contact your local cable or satellite TV provider for details on how to upgrade.

The DVD PLAYER STOPPED WORKING after 4 months

This is a TV/DVD combo, and the DVD player stopped working after four months. I purchased this in December 2012 for my son as a Christmas present, and the DVD player stopped working in April 2013. It was past WalMart's 90 day return policy, so I was very sad and disappointed. I talked to some of the managers at my local WalMart, and they were very understanding. They allowed me to return the TV with all it's packaging for store credit. Now I can buy another brand of TV/DVD combo, either online or in store, which is convenient. Walmart also sells a Vizio and a JVC with comparable features, screen size, and price.
As far as picture and sound quality, this TV was excellent. If the built in DVD player worked, I would be happy to keep the TV.

TV is just what I wanted and I like the new Flat Screens, but the sound quality is POOR. That's one of the reasons I am now purchasing a Home Theatre Surround System for use. That, and a new Corner TV Stand/Cabinet that will better fit my needs. As a Senior Citizen and not uo-to-date about all this stuff (this TV is relacing one I've had for over 20yrs) my rating really might not be off any value.

I have read a lot of bad reviews about the sound but I have not had a problem with it. The sound goes up to 100 and I only keep it at 10. The picture is good and the DVD player is fine.

FYI...sound is terrible as speakers are in the back, yes, the back of the tv! Switching between tv and dvd is a royal pain compared to other brands/models I have...ya have to press too many different buttons, this should be a basic one-click process but it isn't. This brand is made by Sony so don't expect any bells and whistles...it's VERY basic and seems a bit behind the times due to all the buttons ya have to press just to use it. I've had it several weeks now and am still considering returning it, opting instead for an Insignia from Best Buy.

This TV with DVD player does exactly what I hoped for, it has filled the corner shelf in my office, and it looks great! The picture is crystal clear and the sound is perfect. Really great buy for the money. I'm planning to buy another one for a friend.

good product for the price. The DVD didn't play some home recordings , so have to hook up a separate DVD player for viewing our own movies or home videos. Sound seems better then I expected,, this is used in our bedroom , so it is a great addition replacing a 30 year old 13 inch tube style TV.

We got this for my son's room so that he could have HD for his XBOX 360. When he plays his games or watches movies on the DVD player, the video is fantastic. It doesn't look that great for regular TV, but that was to be expected on the quality we bought. Really great TV w/ DVD player for the money!! Would recommend for a bedroom, but not as the main TV. The sound is OK, but again what you would expect from a secondary TV.
