I have always loved the red Maybelline "mechanical eyebrow pencil" and when I could no longer find it, I thought this was its replacement. It is NOT. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing it. I thought if I twisted the bottom of the pencil, the product would raise and there would be more product to use. That is not the case. What you see when you purshase this pencil is all you get. It might last a week......maybe.

this pencil for the first week,it was fine.but i still think it's too soft. I really wanna find one harder. and the top is so easy to break. after it break you cant use it any more. it just such wasted.

I have blonde eyebrows, so it's hard to find a shade that looks natural. This pencil is easy to use, and I love the shade of blonde (just a bit darker# for my eyebrows. This pencil CAN be sharpened with a regular makeup sharpener #use the smaller hole). I also like the mascara-like wand at the end as it makes it easy to blend the color. Great pencil for the price!

The color is perfect and it glides on so smoothly but the problem is there is very little product for the price!! You can not sharpen it or turn the bottom or anything so by the end of my third use it was completely gone!! Waste of money for the amount of product that it is has.

As with other customers, after a few uses, I found that the pencil cannot be sharpened, nor can the "pencil" be twisted up to reveal more product. There is only about 1/4 inch of the pencil, then it is done. It is a waste of money.

Really upset with this purchase. I thought I would change from using a powdered brow product to this type so it would be easier. I only got 3 uses out of it and it wouldn't twist up or push up at all. Had to throw it away after only the 3 uses. Went back to the powder brow makeup. Would not recommend this to anyone.

The color was great and gave me a very natural look however when i had to sharpen it, it was impossible. I don't know who came up with the idea to sharpen plastic. Returned it and won't buy again.

first of all the color was not auburn, it was more of a brown. the pencil was very waxy and difficult to sharpen. I have been using Maybelline for many, many years, the old products worked very well. If it's not broke, don't fix it.
