This is the third tablet I've owned and by far the best so far. The first tablet I owned was a Archos 7 (199.99) very limited. I also had a Mid Android 2.2 (87.00) couldn't get a iheart radio app or log on to a radio stations web site and listen to music. The price for the dopo tablet is pretty reasonable compared to most intermediate tablets. Although limited to the Amazon app store,so far I've gotten most everything I've been looking for. Downloads are fairly slow,but once downloaded they install quickly. Web browsing is fast,screen is very responsive and the style and size are great weather your young or old. I recommend an micro SD card for storing music and apps.

I've had my tablet going on 3 weeks now and so far it has exceeded my expectations.I had no issues with the wifi and with a little assitance from the dopo forum on the android site i was able to install android market with no problems. The only issue I had was it locking up on shutdown but a reset corrected that and the forum also recommend the app for shutdown that eliminates the freezup. For those wishing to get the 32 Gb micro SDHS card for your tablet I highly recomend you order it from walmart as well the wintec and pny are $40 and most store start at $70 to $150. I have already recommended this to friends who are anxiously awaiting more in stock

I purchased the tablets to replace some tablets I purchased on Ebay (that were cheaply made from overseas). It absolutely meets the 5 star rating. The touch response and the total feel of the tablet is great. The only con I had was setting up the amazon account to download apps. You have to set up some parts of it on a regular computer. I also don't like the fact that they are never in stock. I NEED MORE!!!!

First of all, this tablet actually still worksater a month. I bought two (not a Dopo) before the Dopos and they quit working within one week. I had to send them back and my kids were disappointed because that was their Christmas present. The Dopo was easy to set up, it received the wi-fi signal quickly, the keys were easy to use. My kids were able to download apps without difficulty. The only complaint I have is one of the Dopos had a space on top of the SD card slot. My daughter accidentally put the micro SD card in that space instead of the SD slot. It was a pain to get it out since I had to take the tablet apart. However, it is still working fine after the "surgery" For that, I give it a 4. My other Dopo didn't have the space problem on top of the SD card slot. I recommend this for everyone. You can increase the memory to up to 32gbs.

Well, I have researched and researched again and again on every website there is (amazon, big lots, tiger direct, best buy, hhgregg, target, radio shack, light in the box, etc etc; and I dont even have my unit yet. Just ordered it today. But I am hoping that the reviews are true to form. Evidently, this thing rocks. I will post back and let you all know what I think as I am relatively tech savvy. I just want something to surf and watch videos and save pics. We shall see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't get too excited.

I was so excited when I got mine. I had to return it because video playback is terrible and internet runs very slow. It would take forever for a page to load. I trusted all of the great reviews and was let down in a big way. Maybe I am too picky about picture quality, but it was unwatchable to me. Just remember, because most people don't realize, tablets have a 15 day return policy. Hope this helps.

This little tablet is great. It has great WiFi reception. Set up was a breeze. The touch screen is very sensitive, even with the screen protector still on it. Downloads are fast, and videos play great. EBooks are easy to read and I was able to sideload my Barnes and Nobel books to it. The only complaint I have is that there is a loud tone that sounds on start up and I haven't found a way to disable it. I guess I'll have to contact tech support. The speaker is plenty loud and the camera works well for a small tablet. For the price, don't get a Kindle, get this tablet and be able to add more storage and not be limited to just Amazon books. The micro sd chip integrates seamlessly. I am very pleased with it.

I was really surprised just how fast this tablet is and how responsive it is to touch.
The battery life is excellent and tablet seems well built.
Wifi works great and the amazon market is good but with a simple root you can install the Google android market.
It has only a front facing camera and i find that a drawback since you can not see what your are taking a picture of without a rear camera.
Skype video works pretty well with the front camera . Resolution is fair on the camera but good enough for skype and standard pics.
Micro sd card slot works well and the mini usb works fine but you will need to download the drivers for windows vista .
pinch to zoom works great as well.
Facebook and facebook games work fine on this.
Tablet comes with flash 10.3 and works very well i can watch netflix and youtube no problem at all.
Do not upgrade to flash 11 i did and then video did not work right so i had to uninstall and reinstall flash 10.3
I have not found any games i can not play on it. i have angry birds and it works fine and several card games and racing games all run very well.
Watching video on the tv with it is very good and does do a full 1080 with a hdmi to mini hdmi cable which you can get on line for about 3 dollars.
So if your looking for a inexpensive capacitive android tablet this is the one !!
I would recommend this tablet to anyone on a budget or anyone who just wants to see what android is all about and does not want to spend 300 to 500 dollars this is the way to go.
There is support for rooting on some of the android forums if you search .
I hope the manufacturer does a system update to honeycomb or ice cream sandwich but it is doubtful since i can not even find out who actually made this tablet.
It is from china and i think it maybe from Mid but all the info on the tablet says 7 inch internet tablet model md-702 made in china.

The Double Power MD 702 7" tablet was my first tablet I have ever purchased. After researching many products online I game across this tablet-I read all the reviews--they were right--this is a great little tablet for $139.00--It does everything I need and it is easy to use-Netflicks is great and checking email from several different accounts is a snap--I haven't tried the mini HDMI out yet.
The only issue I had is that when I opened the package the tablet language setting was in Chinese and I had to call the support number given --they answered right a way and within a minute they had directed me to the setting for English--[it would have been very difficult to change the language settings otherwise--I don't read Chinese- I have owned the tablet for a month and I am very happy with it so far-I almost had spend $400 on a 10" tablet-this one does the job so far and I saved a lot of money-

I bought a couple of cheap e readers for Xmas and had to return because they were terrible. read about this dopo unit and IT IS GREAT so far for our needs . connects to internet quickly and can buy lots of apps. when my daughter was getting it set up on her secure college server even the techs were impressed. Also quality of product much higher than competitive priced notebooks

This was actually the 3rd tablet that I bought for my eight year old. The first one had a resistive touch screen. Very unresponsive. The second one had Wi-Fi connection issues. Then we got the DoPo. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it connected and stayed connected to my Wi-Fi and that the system was very responsive when playing games. The rubbery finish made it really easy to hold, and it almost feels like the tablet has a case on it. You don't get all the fingerprint like you do with some of the shiny finished tablets.
Sadly my DoPo kicked the bucket today. But after a call to customer service, I was very happy to hear that they would replace my unit with one of their new unreleased Android 4.0 system. I will not get it till the end of the month but that's ok. I'm guessing that when the new release comes out, the price will probably jump as well. The new unit should be getting an upgrade to 1GB of Ram from the 512MB on my currently dead system. I'm hoping that they increase the speed of the processor as well. Get one while you can. I just got myself another one today as well!!

I have owned my dopo now for almost a month... it is great. the speed is excellent. The keyboard is sensitive to the touch. and i am able to view things in adobe format. I love this tablet. I was able to sign on immediately to the wifi and install games like angry bird, words with friends and many more from the amazon market. I have watched the presidential speech on you tube from my dopo excellent video feed. i will definitely recommend this product.

After reading a lot of favorable reviews I decided to take a chance and ordered one for myself. I've only had it for a week or so but have used it every day and happy to say with no issues. It's a great little reader and I've been able to access the local library and download books thru the Kindle app that they use. The only drawback is that it won't work on Pogo.com as they use the java script and not the flash for their games. Hopefully in the near future they'll put up a workable solution for Androids.

I thought long and hard about this purchase. It got rave reviews and was very affordable. My needs for a tablet are few. I wanted to view, edit, and post photos on something larger than my android phone, and I wanted to be able to watch Netflix in bed or while I was not home. Netflix looked terrible. The picture was very blurry. The screen looks weird when you are on line or watching movies. It has a strange glare. I don't like Amazon for apps. There are much fewer to choose from compared to Google Market. I realize how important that is now. I took the sd card out of my phone and inserted it into the DOPO. Viewing the pictures was very nice (not blurry like watching a movie) but, I could not get more than two of the photo editing programs to work on this tablet. I also found the internet to run very slow. It would take so long for a page to load. It would seem to freeze for a minute while the pages load. I would say this tablet is great for kids to play games and great for viewing photos. I played Angry Birds and it worked fine. Or, if you don't care about picture quality and speed, it is convenient for going on line and movies. I am returning this and spending more on an Acer Iconia. We will see if that one works out any better. Don't get too excited about this item as I had been. You will be getting the quality of an inexpensive tablet.

This tablet only supports amazon market for apps, unless you root the tablet. The pages will only load as fast as your internet connection. Thats not the fault of the tablet. Netflix etc work fine. Dont let the previous reviewer turn you off on this tablet. Best bang for the buck on this site. Screen is not blurry at all. Remember small 7in tabs have 400 by 800 resolution usually.Thats going to be a difference from high end laptops. Rather than bash a 140 tablet, you should have spent 600 on one. And you will see there is mot much difference.

I received my DOPO tablet about 10 days ago and have really enjoyed it. I mainly use it to browse online, play games that I have downloaded from the Amazon App Store and as an e-reader. My only complaint is that the battery only lasts for 2 to 3 hours while using it to browse the internet or play games. Overall, I think that it is an excellent value for the money.

Like other reviewers, I bought this tablet based on all the great reviews it was receiving. I received an EKEN MID for my birthday in November, and it died within 3 weeks. I bought myself a Kindle Fire after the holidays, and sent it back within 3 days. (I did not like that I had to register the actual machine to Amazon. I wanted the freedom to download the Kindle app, and use any account I had access to.) I wanted a fast machine, a responsive capacitive screen, Netflix, Kindle, Words With Friends, Angry Birds, and it had to support Flash, and more than anything, one I could return when/if it dies.
I've had my DOPO for 3 days and I have enjoyed it, so far. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, for three reasons: 1) the home screen does not autorotate. It only presents in the horizontal attitude. Which means you either have to constantly turn it, or read the home/apps screen sideways; 2) there is no battery indicator light. You have to plug it in and make sure the battery icon is flashing. Then you can turn it off, and most importantly; 3) there is no Android Marketplace. That means things like Hanging with Friends, HBOgo, Dishonline, and ATT Uverse Mobile are not available, because they are not found in the Amazon Market. These are all things I can live without, but things I'd have preferred to have.
All in all, it's a fun, fantastic tablet, and a great alternative to my 4" phone screen. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will last more than three weeks.

I bought this because it had 33 5-star reviews at the time. Now that we've had it 3 weeks, we love it! It's fast, works like a charm, and we've having a lot of fun with the apps. We have lots of great apps downloaded on it, and they've all been free. There are apps on it that are better than the iPad, and they're much easier to install and/or delete. It connected to the wifi easier than our iPad, too. Overall, we're glad we bought the Dopo tablet and think it's a great value for the price. (I see that the price keeps going higher, though).
