Best under $500 Tablet on the market

Trust me when I tell you that I searched and searched for "just the right" tablet to buy. I was only wanting to spend around 300 on one...so it was VERY hard to find a good table that had everything I wanted on it and could do the things I wanted. I researched LOTS of different tablets before deciding to buy this one. With this just coming out on the market this month 01-2012, it was hard to get my hands on one. These are such a good tablet that most stores sold out right away..as a matter of fact, just a few hours after I bought mine from here at Walmart.com, they were out of stock..glad to see they have them back in stock now. As of today, if you go to most other websites, they're at least a 2 week wait on one.
Ok...on to the Tablet. No user manual comes in the box...just a quick start guide...no biggie, just head on over to Le Pan website and download it from there for free. As per instructions, as soon as you get this tablet, you NEED to charge it...yes, I know, it does come with 60% charge, but if you want to keep you battery up for a long time...CHARGE THIS UNIT BEFORE USING for the first time!! After the first charge, you can then use it while it's charging..but for the first time, let it charge COMPLETELY before use.
This is a Genuine Android Tablet. It has Honeycomb OS on it, up-gradable to ICS here in the next little while. It has the Android Market preinstalled on it. It also has Amazons Kindle preinstalled along with Google Maps, a GPS...which is really cool, I just spoke the name of the next town into it, and instantly (and I do mean instant) it started up the directions. I haven't played around with this feature much, but I'm almost sure that once I go out of my WiFi range it won't work...unless there is a way to download the map/directions to the actual tablet.
The Duel processor in this lil guy ROCKS! Web pages load instant with this. There's no lag time inbetween web pages..pics and text load right up. I've tried Youtube on it (some reviewers on other sites were having trouble with Youtube videos...not that they wouldn't load/play, but because the videos would stop to buffer) I have only tried a few videos myself and only 1 stopped to buffer...no problem though...hit pause for just a bit then resume play...doesn't happen again.
It does only come with 8GB to it...but it has where you can slide up to 32 GB right into it and your done..no biggie there.
I still can't believe how responsive this tablet is. The touch screen is right on. Take Walmart for example..the little search box, just clicked on it and it hit it right on, the first try. Zooming in and out on web pages is a snap, just use your two fingers to move in and out. Typing is also great, no lag there.
The color on this is Super...Crisp and clear. Other reviewers on other sites were complaining about all the finger prints that are left on it...HELLO! It's a TOUCH SCREEN..of course you're going to get your prints all over it. It takes what, all of 30 seconds to wipe it clean..with the cleaning cloth that came with it, I might add. LOL
I really do't care much for the volume control, where it's placed...hard to find it when you are watching something. Not a big draw back, but did want to mention that.
I really have NO complaints what so ever with this Tablet... especially with it's price tag. I really can't see the point in spending ANY more money on any other Tablet...because the only extra thing you will be getting is another Name. As of right now, I'm the first reviewer on this tablet here on Walmarts site... Do a search on this tablet and look what other website reviewers are saying. Don't be afraid of buying this just because it's made by a company that's not well known. You won't regret it!!

Received mine from fedex today and I love it. This tablet was only available through amazon and it was a 4 week wait. Ordered mine from Walmart 2 days ago and I had to have it rushed delivered. So far I like everything. Its a good price for a tablet with a 3.2 android system (upgradeable to a 4.0 supposedly). The only issue I have with it are the speakers. They aren't too great but you can use headphones to optimize the sound.

For under 300$ you can't beat this one, BUT they are having some bad batches that are not stable when connecting to wifi, so be prepared for that and there is practically no tech support, just slow email. IF they can work out these problems it's worth much more in today's price market.
I can only recommend this to anyone willing to deal with these two problems. You either love it or hate it, but a good place to start your Android tablet experiance. So do your own research, then proceed with caution. The big draw is the price and is the Le Pan 2 Android OS is honeycomb version and upgradeable to ICS when it is available. Good reviews are available on Youtube.com, and Amazon has many reviews by users but they have a 2 to 4 week delivery.
So Good Luck

THIS TABLET IS THE BEST!!

THIS IS A GREAT TABLET! And, I should know. It is my 4th tablet. I first tried the EFun 8 inch Nextbook, which I really liked, but it did not have an integrated calendar feature, and no matter which calendar app I tried, there was no calendar functionality without the calendar integration so I returned it.
Next was the Pandigital SuperNova, it was horrible! I would continually disconnect from my Wi-Fi, it would freeze up and there was one part of the settings menu that was in Chinese that I could not change! I called the "customer service" at Panditigal and it rang for approximately 50 rings with no answer. I then tried emailing the "customer (dis)service and got an auto-reply that I would get an actual answer to my question within three days. It's been three months and I STILL don't have an answer! I returned it and got a refund.
Next came the Vizio 8 inch tablet, another tablet that I really liked, a lot. However, the bluetooth does not currently support connection to a keyboard (no, not even a bluetooth or usb keyboard even with adapters) and I found that since it did not support an external keyboard, I needed a bigger screen if I was going to have to touch type on the screen. But, I would still recommend that product for the price if you are willing to wait for an upgrade to the bluetooth software to make it more compatible with external accessories. (The company gave no estimate as to how long that will be). Also, Vizio's customer service is very good and is free for the lifetime of the product. That part can't be beat.
Finally, I found my muse! The LePan II tablet. I love the 9.7 inch screen. I can touch type right on the screen very easily, but it also accepts external accessories so if I want an external keyboard, I can use one. Also, because it is the same size as the IPAD2, there are a lot of cases, and IPAD2 accessories that will fit it. I have not had one problem with this tablet so far. I love the interface, Practically every time I touch it, I find something new and interesting that it is able to do. I love the responsiveness of the tablet, the weight is not prohibitive (which is why I was trying the 8 inch tablets to begin with). It is just an overall wonderful tablet. I can't say what LePan's customer service is like because I have never had to call them! I'm hoping I never do have to find out. Finally, it is a true android tablet, meaning that you have access to the Android Marketplace, a built in GPS and other features that make it a "true" android tablet. I don't believe I would be any happier with an IPAD, seriously!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
