Affordable spare seat, but baby hates it

We bought this as a second seat to have on hand for our second car or when someone else is taking care of our baby. It functions and it's safe, and those are about all the positive comments I have for it.
Obviously, because of the price range it does not have any of the features that make car seats more convenient. It takes a lot more finagling to adjust the strap height. The pull to tighten the straps does not work easily. There is very little cushioning in the seat. You may need to mess with rolled towels or pool noodles to get the recline correct. The straps twist easily in the buckle pieces.
All of those are annoyances that I could put up when keeping in mind the price of the seat. But the real problem is that my 9 month baby just plain hates riding in it. Our baby fights being put into the seat and often complains or cries while riding in it. It's just plain not comfortable. The straps have a tendency to dig into the legs and the neck, even when being careful not to make them too snug. Also, there is so very little cushioning, I could imagine that it's not fun to spend much time in it.
Bottom line: it's inexpensive and functional, but I would not personally depend on it to be used more than very infrequently.

I brought this car seat for my soon to be one year old who is too big for his carrier. I loved the design, I think it's great for a boy or girl. Online it looks brown, but it's actaully black which made it an even better buy! No complaints thus far..

I'm a daycare provider and I have to sometimes drive with my infants & toddlers. I was looking for safe yet affordable car seats and I found these. I was a little nervous to order online without seeing it in person, but these car seats are perfect! I got 2 and they are super easy to install and really comfy for my daycare children. I am using them rear facing since they are under 2 years old and they recline just enough to keep them nice and comfortable and safe. I love the bright polka dots and the cup holders too. I would recommend these car seats for sure! :-)

This car seat is very easy to take apart to clean. Very easy to adjust and I like the fact that it has a piece in the back where you can adjust the height. You can take the cup holder on and off which is good for us considering we have 3 kids and in a compact vehicle.

After reading review on this item I bought it for my 8 month old to transition him out of the infant seat. For the price it is a good seat. It doesn't feel to padded to me but my son seems to not have a problem with it and still falls asleep often in it. I love the fact that it has the flip bar to recline it a tab or have it straight back. I have been buying a lot of Cosco stuff including other car seats for both of my boys.

I love this seat! I bought 2, one for my car and one for my mom's car. The seat looks so cute in my backseat (such a cute pop of color!), and most importantly, my 6-month old son loves it! Every time I put him in it, he settles right down and either looks out the window and "talks" the whole ride or falls fast asleep. He looks very comfortable in it. The harnesses are very easy to adjust and I haven't had any problems with the harness getting twisted. I was a little nervous about this seat because of a few of the bad reviews I read, but I am very satisfied! The only reason I'm not giving this seat 5 stars is because it was a bit of a pain to install. I have a LATCH system in my car and I COULD NOT get the seat tight enough! I tried for nearly an hour. I finally gave up and brought it to the police station and had an officer help me install it. He discovered that the LATCH belt was getting stuck on a piece of plastic and that's why it wouldn't tighten. He showed me how to tighten it a different way and the seat was then very secure. Once home I had to move the seat and had no trouble reinstalling it myself. I have a Mercury Sable and I needed to use a rolled up towel and a pool noodle to acheive the correct recline angle because my seats have a steep angle. There is plenty of room in my car for 2 backseat passengers. I am very happy with this seat. Would definitely recommend!

I love the design and how easy it was to install. The detachable cup holder offers added convenience. I also like the removable cover that I can throw in the washing machine when it needs cleaning.

I have been using this seat for quite some time now and my daughter just turned 2! She has used it rear facing but it now front facing and installment of the chair is quick, easy and painless while sturdy and durable at the same time!
The chair is wonderful for the price! The straps adjust with the height of my child and she is very comfortable! The cup holder is a nice bonus but I took it off because we didn't really need or use it!
I love the design and pattern, which is bold and gender neutral and I hope to use this seat until my daughter needs a booster and then use this seat again for my youngest when they need it!
Very easy to keep clean, and I just cannot find fault with it at all!

This is actually the 5th Cosco carseat that I've bought. Cosco consistently makes a safe, light-weight, easily installed, inexpensive carseat! We bought four for my first child (two for us and one for grandma & aunt). When it came time to start buying a carseat for our soon-to-arrive child, I decided to go straight to the convertible rather than deal with the infant bucket seat. My son grew out of his infant carseat by 5 months and wasn't worth the money.
I recommend the Cosco to all of my friends having kids! The convertible is easy to install and take in/out as needed. The straps do get twisted occasionally, but I've found that to be common with other carseats as well.

I like the colors, they never seem to have several patterns to chose from when I comes to boys. I wanted the camo one but it was out of stock and I had to have the car seat by my son's first birthday. So I had to pick this one. I still like it though. I like lots of color. I couldn't get the cup holder on the side of it though but that's really not a biggie to me cause me son has a cup holder next to him in our van. plus he's more into to throwing his cup right now lol. The price is great and its a good car seat.

I purchased this for my granddaughter's friend's new baby. She was delighted that the straps will be adjustable for several years, unlike the one she had for her son. She loved the brightly colored dots, and the fact that it was lightweight. She also liked the convertibility of this car seat.

I love this carseat, my sons head does not flop over because it leans back the perfect amount. The only thing i don't like is that the loosen strap goes into my seat so it is kind of hard to loosen.

Because the base of this car seat isn't adjustable, it can't be properly installed rear-facing in my car, which is a very common make and model. The correct angle is impossible. What a waste of time.
