This was a gift for my daughter for Christmas. She couldn't wait. She opened it and for once loved cleaning her house. She has a 6 month old who plays of the carpet and now she knows her carpet is clean enough for the baby. I have had mine for years so I know she will love this one.

We'd used it twice and it was working powerfully! We have an ~1200sq-ft and (mostly) carpeted condo with two cats. Most of hair was picked up after one sweep. We saw a clear difference between this one and the one we just ditched.
I thought it might be fairer if I would be able to rate this product after a longer while, with several more uses. But up till now, the first two sweeps made us love this product -- powerful, quite light and reasonably priced.

Today I had to retire my Dyson of 9+ years. I noticed that it wasn't sucking well and just didn't feel like putting a tremendous amount of money into it. My husband had to drag me into Walmart to get one. But now that I've got this Bissell home, I have no regrets. It does have the suction that is needed to clean my carpets considering I have 2 young boys that can't seem to keep their cheese crackers in the dining room and a husband that never takes his shoes off. It's cheap for the money but considering I paid $500 for my Dyson and used it for 9 years, I'm getting a fair trade. By the way, I had to clean my filters already after the first usage.

I bought this vacuum after my 7+ year old vacuum needed to be replaced. I picked this because it seems to be the same vacuum as my old one just 7+ years newer. So far it sucks well. I won't know how good of a vacuum it really is till I own it for a little longer. So far so good.

I am on my 3rd Bissell in about 10 years. I have 5 ACTIVE children and many neighborhood kids in and out! I LOVE my vacuum. Previously I had the lower model and when it was getting a little weak for my liking I went to buy another one and they had changed the belt access door from a snap off to screw off. To me, this is just inconvenient. I then upgraded, and I am on my 2nd model 6585. The really cool thing, is I kept all of my accessories and filters from my previous vacuums and they ALL fit my current one!! All of the filters are washable!! This gives my filters time to dry while I use the spare ones. The stair cleaner is handy and works great!
This vacuum is definitely a must buy and a great deal for the price. With 5 kiddos a great product at a bargain is always nice.

i bought this vacuum before 1 week. now i had a great experience
1. its to heavy to carry on
2. you must clean the dust case after every brush
3.vacuum hose is so short and you cant move it easily
4. and you can see dust all over on vacuum....

I have had a Bissell before, but this one only lasted for 6 months. What a waste of money. One day it works, and the next, you go to plug it in, and it wont work. Frustration!!! DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS ONE!!!

Bought after my Dirt Devil (that never worked well) finally quit on me. This vac collected so much stuff that I'm almost positive my old vac never worked in the first place. Pics up great, assembled in 10 minutes.
Shipping was VERY fast, got the vac in less than 5 days!

I bought this to replace my very old vacuum and am so glad I did! It cleans like a beast and has proven that my old vacuum pretty much quit effectively working a looong time ago. I can't believe how disgusting my rugs were. You have to empty the "bag" fairly often but then that might just be cause my house was apparently really disgusting. I would rather empty the "bag" a few times than have that junk still in my carpet. Plus the filter is washable and it was very affordable! Love it, wish I had bought it a few years ago!

After my previous wonderful Bagless Bissell of 4 years croaked, I wanted another just like it, but it wasn't available and had a new model. It looked similar with some changes. PROBLEMS right off the bat. Parts were not interchangeable, so all my stock of supplies (filters, etc) became garbage. Okay. No big deal. It happens. Vacuum once, and notice the suction isn't nearly as good. Hmm. What my old bissell cleaned and took two emptying of the chamber, now was barely full. ODD. Did the whole house and it was full. Went to empty it, and it all stuck to the sides of these fins in the chamber and wouldn't slip out like the old one. Up in the top, near the intake, a bunch of debris. GROSS. After three weeks, the belt broke. ODD. Took off the cover and discovered that the belt chamber was full of floor debris and the belt burnt rubbing beside it. Took it back. Gave another same model vacuum a try thinking this was possibly a one vacuum incident (like defective manufacture). NOPE. Did it again two months later. I never kept the original receipt since it didn't think I had any reason to. THIS VACUUM IS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING COMPARED TO THE OLDER MODEL WHICH I LOVED. And it will be costly, since you'll be replacing belts and it won't vacuum up much, and what it does vacuum up, it'll be stuck in the intake and what makes it's way to the holding chamber, will be a mess to get out by hand. YUCK< ANNOYED<UUUURGH! I miss my old bissell.

I order this vacumm after having to replace my previous vacumm that costed over $100.00. This vacumm does just what its suppose to do and its lightweight. I got this on rollback but willing to pay full price for it.
