This Energy Star Dehumidifier effectively reduces moisture in critical areas of your home to keep your environment dry. This dehumidifier with adjustable humidistat features auto restart/defrost and bucket full indicator. The Soleus 70-Pint Dehumidifier operates on 115V 60Hz current, 765W and draws 7.3 amps with an air flow of 208/191/156CFM and noise level of 49/47/45dB(A). This Energy Star dehumidifier has an operating temperature of 41-95 degrees so it can be used during any season.

My insulated 16'x40' shop went from 60% to 35% in 2 days and 140+ pints were removed and the heat generated raised the room temp from 52 to 60 while the outside temp is in the mid to low 30s.Amazing. Now my working area is as comfortable as in summer here in Oregon City.

This dehumidifier works beautifully! I am very pleased. Using this in an 800 sq. ft. basement. Works very well at 55 setting. Have been using for 3 weeks now. 70 pint has been a good capacity. Noticed a difference after one day of use. Very efficient and somewhat quiet.

This dehumidifier has only been working for about 3 weeks and it is being drained into a sink. At $180 it is an excellent buy compared to the big box stores and it works very well for the time being. However, from past experience, these things do not last very long.... I never buy extended warranties. This is an exception for this kind of appliance. I suggest that you do so....and at Walmart for $19 dollars, it won't break your budget.l

This unit does what it is supposed to do. Two things that would make it better. First the controls need to be slanted from the top rather than squared off. Second the owners manual is terrible, It need to make suggestions for various situations.

Got this unit because I live in Florida and the humidity levels are very high all year round. Had the unit for just a couple of days, and so far, it works great. The only drawback that I see, so far, is that the unit seems to run constantly ( even in small rooms ) but this is not really an issue, since it does the job. One of the weird feature, is that the unit runs for so many minutes, then stops and drain, so it takes a little getting use to it, specially at night.

After I got the humidity stable, the dehumidifier worked on and off as needed. It only took a few days to stabalize. Now it only clicks on when the humidity reaches the percentage where I set it. I am happy with the unit. I would like it better if the sound was slightly quieter when running.

This unit is quieter than either of our earlier dehumidifiers. It seems to really grab the mosture from the air. The last two units (from two different manufacturers) did not last very long. Having only had this for a month, or so, time will tell how long it will last. But so far I'm very pleased.

I had been running a smaller dehumidifier in my finished basement but it was not large enough. This unit took the humidity from close to 90% down to 45% in a couple of days. It is reasonably quiet. However, the fan throws out a great deal of heat so it also warmed up the basement a great deal. I would recommend this unit to anybody with a humidity issue as long as the heat issue is not a problem.

Looked at all reviews and comments. All reviews had good and bad. No one could agree. Even the consumer reviews didn't agree with what people reviews were saying. I decided on this one, the Soleus 70 pt. Since I read that most all brands have a life span of 1-4 years, I got the extended warranty, which I don't usually do. Our old one lasted 30+ years.
We set up the unit and it works fine. We had a lot of rain in July. Soon all the water on the cellar floor was gone. After the unit cleared the on going problems, we didn't need it running all the time, and now run the unit for the rainy and humid days. It works very well. We have about the equivalent of 4-6 room sizes in the basement. We had the drain close and could set it up for auto drain, with a hose. That is great and was easy to do.
We are very happy with our Soleus 70 pt. dehumidifier.

The Soleus dehumidifier has done an outstanding performance, for the size basement that we have and we were surprise of the sound it made, not loud at all. Mildew odor is now gone and the air smells clean . I love going downstairs now. Holiday entertaining will be more enjoyable this year with our family and friends.

Received older model also it came with a spare screw, lol. I found it in the bottom of the box. It rattled but the screw wouldn't go back in because it had busted out and had plastic on it. I included pics.

I forgot that the filter has a hole in it the size of a #2 pencil which is the main reason that I am returning it for another.

After much research we bought this dehumidifier. It is much quieter than our previous unit, but that wouldn't take much, still its quiet. As per previous reviews online, it is a great value and works very well. Some complained about a hose hook-up, but we just dump the tank, so can't comment on that part. Walmart shipped pretty fast and everything went as expected. Good product, good value, good service.

We had looked on the internet for all brands and types of dehumidifiers and there were pro's and con's on all of them, so eventually we settled on this one. It is better than the one we had before. We had to buy a hose to attach that goes into a drain. The unit does not come with a hose. We have 900 sq. ft. in our basement and this unit does the trick and more. We commented to each other that this is the best purchase we could have made. Totally satisfied!
