This Dehumidifier does a very good job! It has pulled about 20
gallons of moisture since I started using it! I bought it to help my
breathing by making the air drier and lighter between AC cycles.
I probably should have gotten a 40 pint model the room is muggier
than I estimated! Otherwise it works as advertised!!!

This is a very quiet, smooth running model. Great price and wheels make it easy to move. After torrential rains and wet/moldy basement this little chugger had small cellar dry in two days. Love the settings and controls. I did not set up to a hose yet but just empty the bucket daily. I don't even mind doing that because it does such a great job. Quieter and lighter in weight than some models. Works great in my small basement. Really happy with price as well.

The dehumidifier is small in size but does a big job. Depending on dampness you might have to empty it every day. It is worth the money and time. I recommend it to anyone needing a dehumidifier that is not too big.

I bought a Soleusair Model SG-DEH-30-2 in Nov. of 2011. It was efficient when new, but after less than 9 months of use it went down hill from there. By Oct 2012 the Coil was freezing up. Soleusair replaced it under warranty, but I had to pay for shipping. The new unit ran fine in till Nov. I just started it again April 2013 and the coil is freezing up. I called Soleusair back and they told me to go buy a new unit. You can bet I will not be buying another a Soleusair product.

Smaller than the whirlpool dehumidifier that just crapped out on me but way quieter. It also has the option to put it on for 2 hrs or 4 hrs or continuous giving you full rein on the time you want it to run. I've had it a few weeks so far and no complaints thus far. Nice unit for the money and I got a $25 rebate from our electric company!!

I purchased the Soleus 30 pint and so far it has worked very well. Easy to set up and run. It quickly removes moisture from the air.
I have noticed that it turns itself off in the winter when it is dry, which my old dehumidifier did not, saving me in electric bills. You set the humidity percent you want (I use 60%), and after you set the display to the desired amount, it will also show the actual humidity in the room. I have found this to be very accurate when comparing it to my separate humidistat that I have set up in the room. So far it has been working perfectly. I have had now owned it for 5 months.

I love the job this unit does; I am amazed at the amount of water it collects and my towels are much dryer now. The fan is a little loud, but does not bother me. The only problem I have with this unit is the amount of heat it puts out. I originally put it in my bathroom and it was way too hot so I moved it to the hallway and it's still too much heat. I will try moving it to the back room and see how that goes since I am rarely in that part of the house. But, if you want to lower your home's humidity, this really does the job.

This dehumidifier is compact in size and easy to move when needed. It runs quietly and really does a great job removing excess moisture. Very easy to empty the bucket. Would highly recommend for those in need of a dehumidifier.

Good Unit But No Automatic Fan Shut Off

Unit will run continuously untill you shut it off manually or with set timer control, or when bucket is full.
I wanted a unit with an auto fan shut off when desired humidity level is reached.
I returned it for a 50 pt Frigidaire which has an auto fan shut off.(Will shut off when desired humidty is reached).
If you have the space, it's worth the extra $25 for the 50 pt dehumidifier.However the Solus 30 pt seemed like a good unit,but I did not feel comfortable with a continious running unit ,especially if I had to leave the house for a day or two.

If you're not comfortable with the unit running for a day or two if you have to leave the house then just unplug the unit.
The problem with an automatic fan shutoff seems to me the same problem with an air quality meter on those portable air cleaners (as reported by consumer reports). The problem is that when the fan is off (or with an air cleaner, on low) there is not enough air moving through the unit to get an accurate reading. Your air cleaner would sit on low and think the air is clean but by the time it realized the air was dirty it was too late and it would kick up to a higher level and by the time it realized the air was clean it was too late. It's more efficient with these air cleaners to just over ride and leave it at the highest comfortable level fan setting. I don't think moisture in the air is much different than pollen or smoke.

I bought this because I have a shoestring budget and it was affordable. It's a great little unit, and it works perfectly. My basement is now dry. The only problem I have with the unit is the size of the bucket. The bucket is much smaller than a normal dehumidifiers bucket. And because of that, I find myself having to empty it twice a day. It did come with a hose attachment, but that's not feasible for my situation. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase and emptying the bucket twice a day is a small price to pay. For the money, it's an excellent value!

Exceeded my expectations. I was renovating a property which had a severe dampness problem and this unit worked better then I thought it would. Good value for the money. Has either the tub fill or the direct drain hookup. Great product.

This product is to the point. It does what it says' it's going to do. Pulls water out of the air as soon as you turn it on. The bucket fills up fast depending on the level of humidity in the air and the setting you set it on.

I buy quite a few de humidifiers for my business as I install them in foreclosed vacant homes. I have bought all types and all price ranges of dehumidifiers. This unit is priced very competitively and works excellent. It is by far the quietest unit I have purchased to date. A lot of other brands use something other than a 5/8 male outlet for the discharge line. This unit uses a standard garden hose discharge line outlet. This eliminates a big headache trying to find an adapter for the discharge line. I have nothing but good things to say about this unit. Well worth the money
