This, so far, is the best vacuum I have ever owned. Amazing power and suction. I have two cats and one dog, and it picks up pet hair that I didn't even know existed. Easy to assemble and attachments are easy to use. I am hoping this vacuum stands up to the test of time, which seems to be a difficult thing for most vacuums. It seems fairly well built, though.

I bought this vacuum and at first everything seemed amazing until the belt started coming off every 2 minutes OR LESS!!!! No one wants to sweep the floors when after two passes on a carpet the belt slips off then you have to flip the stupid thing over and take 6 screws out to fix it only for the belt to fall off AGAIN!!! Of course when I bought the sweeper I didn't keep the box the stupid sweeper came in so I can only hope that Walmart will take this piece of junk back so that I can get an ACTUAL WORKING SWEEPER to clean my house!!!! Hate this product!

If you do not have pets, this vacuum is for you! But the Turbo pet tool & Hair grabbing pet tool does not work well. I had to go over multiple times as all the tabs did was move the hair around. Overall the suction is great, again without the pet hair. I have a dog and cat that shed and need a vacuum that will pick up the hair !!
After 6 days of having this new vacuum I prefer my cheapo Bissell that I had for years.

Just purchased this yesterday and used it right away when I got home. You could hear it picking up everything! My old vacuum barely picked up anything, even after we took it completely apart, cleaned it and put it back together. The Hoover Elite Rewind picked up so much in less then 5 minutes, I was amazed! It just zips right along too! It was not tough to push and it maneuvers very easily. It can even vacuum under tables, without moving them! You can move the handle down very low to the floor with out the base even lifting up. I always read the reviews on everything I buy. Except I did not read these until after buying it, and I am very glad I purchased it anyway. I read other bad reviews on here about the belt falling off and I have not had that problem at all, even after vacuuming the living room, the hallway, and two bedrooms. I love it :D

I have two chihuahuas that shed like crazy. It is great to have a product with great attachments to help with every need -- I am in love with the tool with the rubber wipers. They work wonders with my couch. We recently had some gunk in our back sliding door as well in the cracks which kept us from sliding the door easily. The extension sucked that gunk right out!
I know this item had to be returned due to its deffective belt -- however, the belting issue has been fixed and this item is an amazing household essential.

I have 2 cats and a dog in a pretty small apartment so having a vacuum that can keep up is really important. I already had a pet vacuum from a few years ago, but it is kind of bulky and heavy so I decided to see if a newer model would be any better. This one is really agile and smaller/lighter than the model I already had. I had vacuumed a few days before getting this one and decided to see if it would pick up anything mine missed and the cannister was half full when i was done with just 2 rooms. The retractable cord is my favorite feature--works great! So far really happy with this item.

I purchased this unit and had issues from the start, the belt continually popping off immediately after I would start vacuuming. I took back to the store for a replacement and not even 20 minutes after I got home did the replacement start doing the same thing

It is so easy to clean with the parts of the vacuum and the suction is great for pet hair. I am so glad I purchase this. I know I will not see dog hair laying around in my house anymore. I was ready to get rid of my dog. I think it is best that people purchase a pet vacuum to get rid of the hair in their homes.............Best decision I made.............

Just bought vacuum 2 hours ago and I moved about 4 ft and the belt fell off 2 times. I am now taking it back to Walmart. Simply stated. Vacuum is awful.

This is the best vacuum cleaner I've used. Suction is good and the tools work well removing dog hair from floors and furniture. Easy to clean and the tools are very easy to access. I have had one for 6 months and this one was Christmas gift since when I used my sister's previous vacuum it wasn't nearly as good as this one.

the vacuum cleaner worked great, but unfortunately, the belt came off after 2 minutes of using the vacuum EVERY time.. I have since returned it for a different model, and hopefully this one will work much better.

I received this vacuum as a Christmas gift and I was so excited the first time I used it! The suction was awesome and the turbo pet brush rocks. However, the 2nd time I used the vacuum, the belt came off. The next 5 times of use the belt came off 3 of the times, so we had to return the vacuum.

The first time I used it the belt slipped off within minutes! Tried many times with the same result. Called Hoover and they said they have been having this issue with this vacuum and the whole Elite line, but there is no recall YET on this product! DO NOT BUY!

The first time I used this vaccuum, I thought, 'Wow, this is terrible,' but thought that maybe I just wasn't used to it and all its settings yet. By the time I had used it enough to have to empty the canister, I still thought it was bad. First of all, I spent 20 minutes trying to get the canister back on to the vaccuum. Without success, I had my husband, my mother-in-law and father-in-law all try to get it back on. After about an hour, my husband finally figured it out. My husband is not a stupid guy; if it takes *him* an hour to figure out how to put a vaccuum canister on, there is a serious design flaw. Second, the vaccuum has terrible suction. NOTHING gets sucked up when gliding it along the floor, both on carpet and linoleum. I end up having to hose-vaccuum my entire house to get it clean. That's not even a joke; I really have to use the hose for the whole house. It won't pick up fuzzies, small stones, clothing fibers, etc. Even that turbo thing for the stairs and upholstery is a joke. The only positive thing I can say about this pile is that the automatic cord rewind is a cool feature. And even that only gets 2 stars because the cord is so doggone short, I can *barely* creep out of any given room to start the next one. Spend the extra money to get a better machine, folks. This one is an enormous waste of money.

Belt Keeps Falling Off!

I've had this vacuum for 2 weeks and used it only 3 times. The first time, it worked great and I was impressed at how well it worked. Especially having 3 dogs (one being a puppy), it picked up quite a lot of dirt and animal hair. The last two times.. not so much. The belt fell off after the 2nd use, which was then tightened and worked as normal. The third time, the belt fell off 5 times in a row after it was tightened each time. Immediately took it back to Walmart. I actually liked this vacuum, but it was not worth the headache and money due to the belt. Looking at all the other poor reviews, it may be a design flaw since I'm not the only one with this problem. I usually own Hoover products, but I exchanged it for a Eureka. Crossing my fingers that it's a keeper...
PROS: Excellent suction, extremely long hose, power cord rewind, easy to maneuver
CONS: That dang belt... GRR!!

Bought this vacuum....I've used it 4 times and all 4 times I've had to unscrew the 6 screws on the bottom to expose the belt and put it back on. Not worth it. I'm returning it.

This is one of the best vacuums I have ever used. It is powerful. It is also light-weight and easy to push around. The rug height settings work perfectly - even the Bare Floor setting. It is simple and quick to empty. The auto rewind feature is such fun. The only draw back I've discovered is that the belt comes off easily. It comes off whenever I run over the fringe on the edge of the carpet runner. But if you avoid doing that, its a great vacuum.

Beware! This vacuum is not worth the money. After vacuuming the carpet on the correct carpet level setting the belt came off. This did not happen once, it happened 5 times. The 5th time I put it in the closet and refuse to put the belt back in place. I will return it and get another brand.

Dont buy this!!! It looses its belt all the time, if you use the hand wand it blows dust everywhere and it overheats, tripping a sensor nad shutting down. I cant even vacume a 10x10 area without it stopping. This thing is garbage.
