I purchased this item for my mom for the holidays! She says that it works good. She has a pet and the vacuum works great for picking up the hair. She loves that the vacuum has the option that the handle moves for easy storage.

I bought a Dirt Devil (UD40350) vacuum from Wal Mart several months ago. It seemed to work well. The belt broke and I have not been able to buy a new one because the store in Commerce, Ga. doesn't carry them. I also checked the store in Athens Ga. 18 miles away. They have the Hepa filters but not the belts. I don't understand why the products they sell do not supply the important parts needed to run it.

It picks up dog hair great. Wish it could make the dogs quit shedding but then it would be a different product. The only problem I had is when I first started using it, it smelled like the belt was burning but no problems with the belt or the vacuum. I've used it numerous times and still works just fine.

My vacuum broke, so I went to Walmart to get a new one. I cant go without bc I have 2 huskies that shed A LOT. This vacuum is small, yet was able to get all the dog fur off of the couches and carpets. It is very light weight and works very well. I do not regret out choice in vacuum and I would recommend to a friend or family member

compact and powerful suction, much better than my old Bissell. I've had Dirt Devils in the past and they were great vacuums. I love the ON/OFF button near the handle.
Why I gave only 4 stars.... My only con so far is with the canister, which is designed to be practically hands-free or one touch, but the opening on the bottom is narrow and even less room with the filter in the center of it, hanging down the middle all the way to the bottom opening, so the pet hair and dirt gets stuck and I have to use my hand to dig it out clump by clump. It tends to be a bit messy.

Being disabled with a very large Bloodhound service dog, I needed a vacuum that was easy to maneuver as well as handle the volume of 'coat-blowing'. Was totally blown away--pun intended--by the suction for both the carpet and upholstery. Even though the vacuum is lightweight, it is stable for each floor type and with the tools aboard, I do not have to struggle making my apartment our home! I was expecting 'cheap' with the low price but surprised at the quality: motor, overall construction, etc. I hope to enjoy this vacuum for a long time.

I have had this vacuum for a few months only. At first it was great! Now it is already starting to have problems. Although we keep it clean it doesn't pick up as well and today the hose fell off!! After using a flathead screwdriver to shove it back in, then taping it with duct tape, I was able to get it back in working condition, but I shouldn't have to do that. The hose, I could see, is not held in well and will most likely fall out again. I would not buy this product again.

So far it seems to be doing the job. We have gone thru about 7 machines in the last 12 years and I was getting real tired of spending a lot of money on the higher end machines only to have them go to dump. I remember my mothers Hoover she had that machine for as many years as I can remember. She got it when we were just kids and it was still in use in her house when she passed away. I have not seen a machine as good since from any of the manufacturers. I would just like to get what I pay for. But we shall see if this machine last even two years. If it does I think I will be happy cause it did not cost me $400 to $1000.

Vacuum came assembled, ready and easy to use and clean. So far (Ihave had it a week, used twice) I am happy to report . . . it has done what it was purchased to do well. I was surprised with the first use how much excess dirt & dust my 2 room apartment had. I emptied 3X the first vac, but I have notice that I am not eating cat hair anymore . . . I am breathing easier. I will practice to empty the canister with EVERY use.

I bought this vacuum for a great price. I loved everything about this vacuum, it though-rally cleaned all the carpet in my house, both the high and low carpet. I used this vacuum every day to clean my carpet and hard wood floors. Then one day it got clogged from the hose that connects the base to the actual hose, this was extremely hard to unclog, as I had to take the entire base of the vacuum apart to get to the clog and where it was clogged there is a almost 90 degree angle that was near impossible to clean out. Finally with it being unclogged I am able to use the vacuum again. Keep in mind that this took a over a half hour to take apart clean out and put back together. Vacuuming again after it got clogged the 1st time was horrible. Every time I used this vacuum after it got clogged I had to keep taking it apart to keep getting out clogs. I also cleaned all the filters out after each use to see if this would eliminate the clogging issue, and this did not help. Basically evrytime I used it it got clogged and finally after 2 weeks of spending over a half hour a day on the clogs it kept getting I had to take it back. This vacuum worked excellent in the beginning, but by the time I took it back it was not worth all the up-keep.

bought this vacuum yesterday & the belt is already broken, everything else in the vacuum is fine just the belt. i was able to do my stairs & thats it. i have 2 dogs & a cat, i exchanged it for a bissell the dirt devil was not built to handle lots of fur.. althought its light and easy to maneuver im dissapointed that i had to go back after a day of owning it.

My neighbor bought one of these she has 5 cats and one dog. She brought it up for me to use so I ordered one. It is absouloutely fantastic and picks up the hair of my 3 cats. I was shocked how much my other Bissell missed when I used this. Strong suction and easy to carry around. It came put together so no assembly required. Excellent for the price.

I actually went to Walmart to get a different vacuum. I really need a good small vacuum for my apartment. The other one was out of stock, so I was looking at all the pet vacuums they had. I have a dog with long wire hair and he sheads really bad. This is by far the best pet vacuum I ever used!! It picked up all the hair and dust off my carpet and bare floors. My carpet and rugs look so nice and clean now. The only problem I have is the opening dirt cup is kinda small so all the dirt and hair does not fall out easy. Also the handle feels a little cheap and not really stable. For the price I can't complain to much. I say definitely buy this if you need something small, light, easy to store, and very powerful!

Just moved into a small Apartment and this unit more then does the job and we have had no issues with it.
Cleans easy and suction has stayed true to this point.

I bought this on a Saturday and used it twice in my one-bedroom house (vacuumed a total of maybe 100 square feet) and the belt broke by the third use. The beater bar wasn't bound up or anything, the belt just broke. I took it back to try a different brand. Extremely disappointed, cheaply built, poor quality. I thought it was funny that it had a 1-year warranty when I had to return it by the following Tuesday.

I've had this vacuum for 2 days and I'm taking it back to Walmart tomorrow!! The vacuum doesn't seem to pick up anything. I've "vacuumed" 2 rooms in my house and there is nothing in the dirt cup? Don't waste your money or time on this product!

my husband and i decided on this vacuum cleaner because we have a hound that sheds everywhere in the house and we had no way to clean that up. i was impressed by how quick it cleaned the carpets and that little pet hair tool with brushes cleaned our blankets and comforter. the dog likes to stay in the bed but we had no idea how much hair the vacuum can pull off the comforter. works good with carpet cleaners too. spray, leave 15 minutes and vacuum, takes the spots off. im a little worried by the reviews that say it clogs and lose suction fast, but i hope that won't happen for long time. for now, im pleased with my purchase
