I am amazed at how well this little machine works. I used it for a sweatshirt project for my niece. It comes ready to use with white thread which was great to learn how to thread the machine as well as it being ready to use right out of the box. It comes with a foot pedal also!
Its small but Im only using it for small projects, pillows, crafts, ect. It performed well with thicker sweatshirt material even tho its a small machine. I was pleased with this purchase, esp the great value and price! I didnt want an expensive machine for as much as i would be using it.

I had never used a sewing machine before, and this one was very easy to set up and use. I bought it to make dog beds and sew dog toys and the stitches hold up great. It is very small and it won't do very thick material, but it's amazing for the price.

I have no experience with sewing machines. I needed something to hem some scrub pants, but this machine would bunch up the thread on the backside. I purchased a real machine (Kenmore) and had no problem.

i got this for my wife as she wanted to sew a baby blanket and some quilts, it works amazing for the price and ease, you can use a thread spool or bobbins, i picked up some preloaded bobbins and have been sewing and loving it! we also saw some you tube vids on threading it that were helpful also.

Had a hard time figuring out how to rewind bobbin

If you only need a straight stitch for small jobs, then this is ok.
It is difficult to understand the instructions on how to rewind the bobbin.

How to rewind the bobbin:
There is a tiny knob on the turning wheel. Grasp that tiny knob and turn it in the direction of the arrows (counter clockwise) Turn and pull it out at the same time. Eventually the tiny knob will come out. When it does, put the bobbin on it. With the thread in place on top of machine, wrap it around bobbin, press the on button (or use foot pedal) and guide thread so it spreads evenly over bobbin.

Ignore the side bobbin unless you sew using it instead of placing a spool of thread on the top. Or for a double stitch, use the thread on top and side bobbin.

I bought this sewing machine because I had some curtains I needed to hem. I order the sewing machine online and when I picked it up , I looked at it and said you get what you pay for. It was so small. To my surprise this little sewing machine did a great job.

When I opened the box I was amazingly surprised to find such a cute toy sized sewing machine. I had to return it despite the fact that it is cute, it couldn't perform the job such as sewing jeans and other heavy fabrics...

Very small, very light. Good for small jobs that you can do with a simple stitch. For $21 or $22, I can do all my hemming, which is what I want it for.

This machine worked with their thread but when I went to re-thread with black thread the bobbin would not pick up with the needle. I will be returning at my local Walmart store.

Came with a broken foot pedal. Instructions on how to thread the bottom portion didn't do it... I even looked up a youtube video and watched them thread the bottom portion and mine wouldn't pick the thread up like they said it should. Returned it. What a wasted. Disappointing really because there were so many other great reviews about it. I must have gotten a bad one.

I spent hours trying to thread the bobbin until I went onto YouTube and found a video comment that pointed out that the instructions that come with this unit are WRONG! It says to turn the hand wheel "clockwise" in order to thread the bobbin...you have to turn it COUNTERCLOCKWISE for it to work! Also did not come with the Bonus handheld stitcher, and the thread that comes with the "bonus pack" is completely tangled on the spool. But what do you expect for a $20 sewing machine from walmart??????

I purchased this product for my daughter because she wanted to learn how to sew. To my disappointment, it does not work. The machine came threaded but according to the directions was threaded incorrectly. The machine did not sew at all and my daughter was upset because this came from "Santa". I am planning to return this item and buy another machine.

By the end of the day my eight year old granddaughter knew how to thread and sew on the machine, the thread broke frequently until she got the gist of the machine and how it works. It is not an adult machine but works great for $21 and she had a fun time and was all set up in what she called her work area.

I looked at kids sewing machines and decided they were not worth the money- i.e. toys vs real machines and would cause only frustration. But I didn't want a full size machine for a 6 yr old. This fit the bill perfectly! Great price, cute little machine and grandma and I tested it out and she wanted to take it home with her! Works great for a child- so cute and tiny! The tension is a little rough- you have to set it tight to get a good stitch, but then loosen it to be able to pull the thread to thread the machine- but other than that, very pleased and would recommend as a real machine that will allow your little person to really sew! We've only used it a few times, but so far I am very happy with this purchase.

Nice size for a beginner but could not get the tension to work properly. Back thread kept knotting up or to lose, no matter how I turned the tension it didn't seem to work. Returned it..l Very disappointed granddaughter!

I bought it to fix some clothes. I actually hadn't any idea of sewing so that I learned it through Utube. Fortunately, there are many clips out there for this machine. It works well and with a little more skill, you can fix any clothes you want.
