Not perfect but its features outdid limitations.

I won't give 5 stars unless something is outstanding but I do give this a rating of 'Good.' I have two complaints but I knew about these before buying this.
First, the grill, though adjustable, is adjustable with holes and pins through the legs. Other grills swivel and use gravity to hold the grill in place making adjustment heights limited to the person. This has predetermined heights so you're limited there. Also, if you want to make an adjustment while it's hot, you have to remove it from the fire and do it.
Second, the spit has only one prong for holding the meat. This makes the chicken (in my case) tend to be weighted and not centered laterally on the main rod. So things shifted when I turned it and I had to balance, if I could.
Knowing these things ahead of time, I bought it for its features, size and price. Other large swivel-types are twice the money and I'm not sure they would do any better, cooking-wise. So I compromised and got this. I am pleased with it.
It also has the capability to hang pots from it and swing them over/away from the fire. It's a simple design. Though I haven't used that, yet, I suspect I will have to anchor the frame to the ground otherwise the weight of one of those pots or dutch ovens will tip it over. For me, it was worth the price.

the grill is great, but it would of been much better if it was a little higher as the fire become to close to the items that I am grilling, but, the handle for the grill need some type of safety it can get really hot. other wise you have yourself a nice grill thanks , surprisingly the shipping was fast and great.

I bought one of these new at a yard sale and couldn't wait to use it. We packed it on our 4 wheelers and headed out to the woods to do some riding and have lunch. I agree on another review that to adjust it in mid use it will be hot and have to be taken off of the fire. We put two whole chickens on it and it was a little bit of a chore to figure out how to actually put them on there. It was a good thing we took some safety wire with us to tie the chicken more securely on the spit. I like the idea that it has locking positions when you turn it. I had a pot of beans and rice going at the end stage. I like the pot hangers to keep food warm while other is cooking. I hadn't cooked like that in a long time and had a blast. It was actually a little tiring, lol but in the end the chicken came out really good. I will definitely use this again.
