Our first pool came without a filter pump. Dont do that, it will be difficult to keep clean even with chemicals. This was easy to set up, filled quickly from a well, even during a dry period. The filter removes easily for cleaning with a garden hose. Get a spare or two anyway. Get the 1" chlorine tabs, they fit right in the filter. Get the test strips and add chemicals accordingly. A tarp under the pool is a good idea, as well as a cover. Get the vacuum and skimmer combo under $20. I got a $7 life vest (flotation device), which allows you to completely relax your body with only your heels lightly touching the bottom. Not much can beat the heat after a hard day like this can! Do it, you deserve it!

I live in Philadelphia and summertime is hot and humid!! I bought the 8' x 30" summer escapes pool (that's the size that fit in my yard) and it was the best move I ever made! Having been a city girl my whole life I had no idea how to maintain a pool, but I learned quickly. I recommend purchasing a water ph kit, they are very easy to read and understand, and also purchase the 1" chlorine tablets. The summer escapes pool filter has a built in chamber for the chlorine tablets. I use 2 tablets in the filter, this is what keeps my water test kit numbers on point. I also purchased gym floor grid lock foam padding to assemble my pool on top of and it adds a nice padded, protected layer beneath. Run the pump a minimum of 3hrs a day to keep your water clear. I highly recommend this pool and I get in mine everyday after work or when I can!

Pool Filters not available

This is a nice pool. Sturdy, easy to assemble. The problem is that it takes Size D filter cartridges which Walmart does not sell. If you go on line to look for them they are very hard to find and are super expensive. The box says they do not need to be replaced simply wash them off. This is not true. They need to be replaced weekly. Before you buy this pool make sure the filters are available in your area. We had to go and buy another pump that takes A cartridges which are available just about anywhere.

We got this pool about 3 weeks ago and love it. We only wish we had gotten a bigger size. It fits on our patio and it has been great for the recent hot weather. The care is pretty simple as long as you stay on top of it. I would highly recommend to others.

Great for my 4 year old granddaughter and to sit in when it gets hot. Bought it last year and paid the $3 for the warranty. It was worth it as the pump wasn't working this year. I guess I should have stored it inside. Got another this year and we have enjoyed it as the mercury was in the 3 digit range for 3 days straight. Be sure to store the pool and pump in doors.

For the price, what am I going to do? Give a bad review of this little pool? Yes, yes I am. We set this pool up on flat, clear ground. We also placed it on top of a brand new tarp. We got 3 weeks out of it before it started to leak. I could never pinpoint where the leak was, only that it was somewhere where a repair was not an option without draining 650 gallons of water. The material is so thin, in retrospect I'm not surprised it sprung a leak. I had my doubts from second one of pulling it from the package.
The filter system is the best part of the pool. I still believe the pump is built to last for a couple seasons, running it 6-8 hours a day. Some recommend just hosing off the fiters and reusing, but if you can afford replacing them they really do a great job of keeping the water clean, along with appropriate chemical treatments.
A couple days ago we I drained the pool and tossed it. I'm left with a nice pump and accessories that I'll never use. 3 months of Summer '12 was all I was asking from this bargain. No go.

This pool is the perfect size for me, my husband, and our two kids! It is also the perfect size for our small yard. Altogether it took about two hours to get everything up and running. It states in the manual to use 1" chlorine tabs. We use 1 tab a week plus 2oz. (6 tbsp.) of shock-it once a week to keep it clean. We also have a pool cover and skimmer for it also. We put a 12x10 tarp under the pool to keep the grass from getting muddy getting in and out of the pool. We have owned this pool for awhile now, but just recently set it up. Best decision ever!!!

I bought this pool 3 years ago, when my youngest daughter was 2 1/2 years old. It fits perfect in our small backyard and still is big enough for the five in our family. My only complaint I have is this summer (2012), I am unable to find filters for it. Wal-Mart still sells this pool but they don't sell the replacement filters that are needed to maintain the pool. The first two years of using the pool I could go to my local Wal-Mart store (0834) and get the filters. Now I need them and the store doesn't even have them on the shelf or on the website. Please, Wal-Mart, if you're going to sell a product, please also sell the replacement parts too. Thank you.

We too love ours, but the things you need to maintain them aren't available. You actually game the exact review I would have so I will just reemphasize.... We bought ours this year and it never occurred to me til I needed to change said items that they wouldn't have them... Or online.

I bought this for my 5yr old and 2yr old. Our backyard is a little hilly so there were only a few flat places to put this pool, thus the smaller size. They seem to really enjoy it so far and my husband said the set up was pretty simple, since it rises as you fill it. It works for cooling them off on hot days, and my husband and both kids were playing in it last night.
***The only downsize is the instructions do not give information on what kind of chemicals and how much to use. You will have to talk to a pool store specialist to figure that out.

Easy set up, but the hose clamps are PLASTIC. and leak. There is a constant drip from both hoses. But, before that happened, as I started filling it , I noticed it was leaking from near the seams. There was already too much water in it to stop. Atrf it was all full, I noticed the plastic tarp I set it on was WET in other areas. I am almost positive there are more leaks. I will be returning it once the water drains out!!! So much for a cheap way to stay cool this summer. What's that saying," you get what you pay for" . So true.

We bought this pool when the heat and humidity got to be too much. It was easy to set up, although it had way too detailed instructions.
We used a compressor to blow up the inflatable ring.
The pump intake and return were easy to attach.
The company screwed up putting the drain in the same area as the pump. Even though it has a really long cord, the outflow could flood the pump GFI, causing damage.
The drain should be on the opposite side of the pool from the pump.

This pool is just what i was looking for. It only took about 15-20 mins to set up & about 2 1/2 -3 hrs to fill. Its Great to just cool off on a hot day & also perfect for my 6yr old to get in & play around. I can sit on the bottom & my head is just above water. She can get in & out without a ladder so thats a plus. The pump is not the best, but it does the trick. I replace the filters every week, but to keep it working great i take the filter out & clean it each night. I keep it covered unless we are in it, to keep as much stuff out of it. I bought the tarp made for the 10ft pool & it works great for ours. It heats the pool up nice during the day. I have not had holes in the top ring & i have not had any problems with the filter pump. Overall great pool for the price, if you have younger children this will do the trick to keep them busy for hours.

My son and myself love this little pool

When I first look at this pool in the store I was like "No". But after reading online I seen few people had small problems with this pool and I was still scared but after moving from FL to Missouri and not having a pool like we always did in FL, I decided to go with this little pool. I think it was a great investment overall. Its great if you have a small backyard or even a patio. Its about a size of a small hot tub. My husband, myself, and our 6 year old son fits nicely inside.
I have had it for two week. If you are looking to swim init for get it. But it is great for the little ones to learn how to swim due to its not so deep. I enjoy getting in to cool down and relax.
The only thing I can say bad about it, is that every two week you have to change the filter but it is a small pool and small pump. But the filters are 6.97 for two. So its not really a bad deal. Its a great price to keep a kid happy and wet for the summer in your own backyard.

This pool is great for my 2 kids to play in. It fits on the deck. Fairly easy to maintain. However, the filter pump is poor quality. I bought this pool last yr. The first filter pump lasted 6 weeks. They sent me another. It lasted a week. The next person at the customer service line told me the pool and filter pump weren't to be used outside. Yes, that is what they said. I asked where a pool is supposed to be? I have called and called them, written a letter, faxed them information, and they have refused to send me another filter pump. So, we got 7 weeks of usage out of the pool last yr. My kids loved the pool while they could use it and I enjoyed it, too.
We just set it up this yr and the top has a hole so I have to find a patch. We bought a new filter pump through another company and are hoping we have better success.
The salesman at Walmarts told me that you get what you pay for and since this pool is cheap don't expect too much.

We purchased this pool and only after opening the box did we find out that if you have any issues with it, you can't return it to the store of purchase. You must call the pool company directly & go through them. So be sure to keep the box, reciept, EVERYTHING. When we first set it up, we thought it was decent. It was to keep our 5 and 3 year old cool. It's not deep enough for them to really swim in, but just float around while their knees touch the bottom & wade.
The problem began with the pump. We hooked it up and everything and it sounded like it was working the first & second day, but after that we weren't so sure. After about 2 weeks of using the pump nightly & the chlorine tabs (which are also a joke), the pool had a white film that resembled toilet paper that's been sitting in water so long it falls apart. The film wasn't on top of the water, but all over the bottom and when the kids would get in to play, it would float around. Disgusting. We tried adding double the chlorine tablets and continuing to use our pump, but that did nothing for this. We decided to drain the water out, yep, all 650 gallons (doesn't feel so good to watch your $ draining away) and try to "clean" the pool. We wiped it down and let it dry, then refilled. We had just gotten it almost filled to the top when we realized there was also a very tiny hole that was now leaking our water. We had to pour the water out again, to patch it. Once the patch was dry & we refilled it, the white, slimy, film still remained. I'm assuming that it was all due to the cheap pump they include in the box. My husband was so frustrated & angry that we called it a day and didn't fill it again. We called the company & they mailed us a new pool, but would not replace the pump. Nice. We have yet to even use the new one they mailed. I would have rather had my money back. I believe the pump itself was somewhere between $60-$80 to replace. Yet again, another not-so-funny joke. Unbelieveable.
P.S. I've read a review or two on here where people say they could fit several larger kids/teens/adults into this pool at once. I find that hard to believe unless everyone is sitting down with their backs against the pool, and legs all touching int he middle. It is not a large pool. Good for a few toddlers or maybe 2 to 3 kids ranging from 5-7. Aside from that, I can't fatham how they've managed to truly have that many swimmers at once.
