Waste of Time and Money

This vacuum's cons:
1. Does not work quickly
2. Does not vacuum large leaves
3. Does not vacuum the complete area
4. Does not include a brush
5. The vacuum bag comes off when you don't want it to
This vacuum's pros:
None whatsoever.
Filter out the pool by disturbing the bottom, and using the pool's own pump and filter.
Additionally, you can attach a pillowcase to the output end of a sump pump, and dropping the whole thing into your pool. It works much better than trying to use this vacuum.

Veey easy to use and picks up heavy items as well as light in the bottom and around edges of pool. Bag is a little hard to clean out. Best to clean bag before items picked up dries.

This product did not work well. It would suck up the debris off the bottom of the pool but there was no way to get it out of the pool without everything escaping the bag back into the pool. Tried it several ways, always lost everything that just got picked up.

It's kind of a mickey mouse thing. It's ok ! It isn't good for picking up fine dirt on the bottom. What I don't like about it is, your filling up your pool at the same time your trying to clean it and I always have to hurry so I don't over fill the pool. I guess it's better than nothing !

Bought this vacuum after reading all the reviews. It doesn't work like one of the expensive vacuums, but it works great for my 16ft Summer Escapes pool. My suggestions....wheusing this vacuum take your time and make sure it stays on the bottom of the pool

It had no brush on the bottom it looked like some kind of space ship I didn't even plug it up and try it, there was a lady in there that told me Walmart gets 3-4 of them returned a week so I took it home opened it up and knew why when I saw how cheaply it was made went back to store and picked up the $35.xx one and it works great has a brush which is great for catching hair and getting things off the bottom!

Better then expected

After reading some really good reviews and some really bad reviews, I was skeptical, but the first time I used it, the bag was full of leaves, debris and dirt. It was very easy to assemble and use. The only thing I would recommend to users it to make sure that you go very slow, especially if you have a lot of fine dirt at the bottom of the pool, otherwise it stirs it up and makes the pool cloudy. But for the price, it did far better than I expected for our little pool.

We purchased this thinking it just might be a good buy, but boy were we surprised. Even though the purchase price was only $15.00, save your money and buy a decent vacuum. I could not understand how a water hose would make it work and now I know...it doesn't. The entire time I was using it, my husband was dipping water out due to the amount of water it was putting in the pool. It would pick up fine sand, but would not pick up grass clippings or course sand. Oh well, you live and learn..now to go find a decnt vacuum that works. You know the saying "you get what you pay for", that is so true in this case.

No Good!

I bought this vacuum because the reviews seemed good, considering the price. We have the Summer Escapes pool and bought this vacuum to get dirt/debris off the bottom. It doesn't work! It is supposed to work by pushing the hose water into the bag, which "should" result in the dirt and debris getting sucked up into the bag with the water. Very little dirt and debris actually makes its way into the bag, and we have good water pressure. Don't waste your money.

This is not a very good vacuum. All i have is problems with it. The bag that is supposed to catch the debris sometimes falls off of the vacuum. the hose does not stay in. And most importantly it doesn't do a very good job with suction. Won't pickup dirt/debris

Poor quality, cheaply made

This vacuum was the worst, it did get some debris up but as for really small stuff or larger leafs, it wouldn't even move them. The pole is short and we have a 14 ft x 36 in inflatable intex so I ended up having to get in the pool just to vacuum it (it might be because I am only 5'3) but it was the only way to really get the vacuum to even work. I would not recommend this vacuum to anyone as it did not meet my expectations. Also the pole is very cheaply made, the plastic seems cheap, and I am almost certain that if I would have kept it, the bag would have needed to be replaced in less than a month. My recommendation is don't waste your money on this pool vacuum.

This was a very dissapointing purchase. Once I got it put together and attached to the hose, the power from the hose tore it apart twice. I was so frustrated, I yelled at my mom to turn off the hose, and I packaged it up to go right back to the store. I don't know how it is supposed to pick up anything when the bag and handle fly off as you go to sweep. I'll invest in a real pool vac. It seems like things are made cheaper and cheaper and cost more and more. Please, everyone recycle so we at least won't have to pay so much for plastic junk (raw materials)!

Review 20 for Summer Escapes Pool Vacuum

I bought it because of the good reviews.

Don't be fooled, I bought a summer escapes pool and there is small leaves and pieces of grass at the bottom. I hooked up this vacuum and turned on the water, but nothing happened against the bottom of the pool, my water pressure is 48psi from the city water, which is great. So I pulled the vacuum to the top of the pool about 1 foot underwater and placed a leaf directly by the inlet and it floated to the bottom, the water jets do not make a suction as they claim, if you want real suction you will buy a vacuum that hooks to a filter pump, now that will create suction since it is pulling the water directly from the pool, instead of relying on water hose to bring water up and through the bag... I thought it would have worked but didnt think about it, and that's why it's a 1 star item.
