Bought mine for 400$ even during the Christmas holidays, i needed a new Tower for SWTOR. It met and exceeded my expectations; currently running on high with no problems at all. Dled the game and updates in less than 20 min. Graphics card doesnt need replacing, duel core plenty of speed, 8 gig of ram. Excellent computer- Plenty of space to upgrade too when needed. Just a great system for the dollar, all that needs to be said!

I purchased this computer to run multiple virtual machines for an at-home IT security lab. I do intend to upgrade the processor (the chipset supports up to an AMD Phenom II x6 hexa-core processor). But even with the CPU that comes with the system, I can easily run up to 5 VMs simultaneously. Overall, this is a great value for the price.

Review 5 for iBuyPower Gamer Power 568D3 Desktop PC with AMD Athlon II X2 245 Processor, 8GB Memory, 500GB Hard Drive and Windows 7 Home Premium with Windows 8 Pro Upgrade Option
I got this as a gift so on one hand its hard to complain but on the other I feel the person who purchased this for me was completely mislead.
I agree this is not, by a long shot, what is today considered a gameing computer. The fact that "with upgrades" it can "just" handle WoW says it all. And it really isn't designed to do much more, even with the upgrade. It just hasn't the CPU power. I mean comeon. it has a AMD Athlon II X2 245 ! That's a completely outdated dino. The graphics card issue is a whole other can of worms when speaking about this being a gameing system. To label this a gameing system is misleading. It would have been more accurate to have labeled potentially a light gameing system. The 2 star rating was absolutely accurate when your looking at the product as it comes. And Farmville #or similiar# would be about the only thing it could play without an added expensive upgrade. Also, 500GB hardrive? In todays world that makes absolutely no sense.

I think this computer is great for the price, it is pretty fast stock out of the box. I do agree with some of the review's that the vid. card could be better, but hey for the price & quality it's a good deal. I will probably up grade the power supply & graphic's card sooner or later......but out of the box I loaded StarWars: TOR, set the graphic setting's on high & it was very smooth w/o any lag, at the same time I was playing SWTOR, I was downloading WoW & patching it. The only thing I would complain about is the power cable was bad, I called iBuyPower support & they are sending me a new one. If people want to cut this machine down they need to stop & think about what you payed for it.

Dont look down on the 3 star score i gave it. This is not a bad pc. It is actually really good, and also it is worth the money. The only problem is how it's labeled as a 'gaming PC'
Be wary before you buy it. If you are expecting gorgeous visuals of a hardcore game, you will be sorely disappointed. The processor/graphics card setup of this pc allows it to play almost any game, but the more graphically intensive games require you to severely tone down the settings. It has a real good amount of RAM, which provides for excellent multitasking. Buy this if you are planning on playing more softcore games, or dont care much about maxing out on the more hardcore games. It can still play the more graphically intensive games like battlefield 3 and Crysis 2, but you will probably end up playing them on Medium at best (with around 20-25 frames per seconds).
If you are a budget limited person, and still want some really good graphics, there is hope for you yet. Get a decent computer with an intel i3 processor, or equivalent, and with atleast 4 gb of RAM (a good one at: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Gateway-Black-DX4860-UB21P-Desktop-PC-Refurbished-with-Intel-Core-i3-2100-Processor-6GB-Memory-1). Then buy a separate good graphics card (such as the Nvidia GTX 550 Ti [~$130] or GTX 560 Ti [~$230], or equivalent). install the graphics card (or take it to computer store. they can help you install it.). Then you are set to handle most graphically intensive games.
Remember: Buy this only if you are planning on playing more softcore games, or dont care much about maxing out on the more hardcore games. In that case, it wont disappoint.

AMD processors are generally subpar, but your computers graphics card is better than this one's. Honestly, im not saying it is future-proof, but you cant find a config like this at a better price anywhere else.

Can I just say WOW? this system itself would cost a lot more to build. The price is unbeatable anywhere. for $399 + free shipping I don't know if anyone can compete at this price. What a good buy.
The performance is very very solid as it will run most of my games on high settings.
If you are looking for a budget PC and don't want to have a dent in your wallet this system is perfect for you.
You can also upgrade the Power supply and graphic card easily.
The case is very well designed.
You will Love it, stop hesitating!

so far great.. system.. i am playing black ops and the video card is doing pretty good. system runs cool.. just ordered final fantasy xiv.. in hopes that it works.. will know soon. for the price i believe it to be decent.. one little downside is when i plug in the headphones.. into the jack i get feed back of like a frequency in the background only notice it when there is no sound like music or gaming., basically any sound is on.. other wise i would of rated it perfect.. for what it is ment to do.. which is game.. and at the price its not high end.. but you will be surprised what it can kick out.. oh the fans are very quite.. does what i need it to do so i am happy with what i got in all.. ps. love the fact it only has one little blue light in front which don't keep me up at night so very well thought out.. for people that do there downloading at night like myself .. ok thats all i can say about this ...

This computer is an excellent value for the money. I bought one back in May for my son's birthday and liked it so much that I had to replace my aging P4 desktop with an 8600 GTX with one. Now as it comes stock - It can handle Wow medium to low settings and Skyrim the same. So what I did was to head to that tiger site and buy two HD 5670 2gb refurb cards for 60 bucks each and install them. They work perfect and also they don't need any extra power / Pci e to molex adapters which was nice. Once installed we can play Wow and Skyrim on Ultra! Also Saints Row the Third on Ultra. Came with an acceptable keyboard and a pretty nice mouse. All in all, not a bad deal.

Help with graphics card please
Posted 12/28/2011
Hey I'm really new to all this PC stuff, and I just wanted a cheap computer that I could play on, and this seemed like a really good deal, and if it can run Skyrim on ultra with that graphics card you mentioned that is perfect. The only thing is that I don't know how to install a graphics card like that, is there a website that shows how to do it that you learned from? Or is there some specific way to install it? And this one is the graphics card you were talking about right? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1148911

How did you install 2 graphics cars
Posted 12/24/2011
The graphics cards you listed are PCI-Express 2.0 I believe these cards require a PCI Express (x16) slot
iBuyPower 568D3 specs show one pci express slot, and one standard PCI slot: •1 x PCI Express (x16) slot, 1 x PCI slot, 4 x external 5.25" bays, 6 x internal 3.5" bays
How did you install the 2 graphics cards? Did you install one graphics card in the the pci exress slot: (1 x PCI Express (x16) slot) and install the second card, in the standard pci slot: (1 x PCI slot)?
Will a PCI Express graphics card function in a standard PCI slot?

Please Ignore the 2 star review, and the comments that go with it. This computer can handle much more than "farmville". Yes you will need a graphics card to be able to play a game such as World of Warcraft. But, you can pick up one on TigerDirect.com that would be good enough for $50 or less. One of my computers is a 6 year old eMachine, with 3gb Memory and a single core processor, with a 256mb graphics card. You can still play World of Warcraft on it with the graphics moderately set. For the price you can't really beat this deal. Here's a link for a graphics card. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=852267&CatId=3585

This thing could of been considered a gaming computer 5 years ago, that processor is entirely too slow to play any current games and there is no independent video card. It's a decent price, but the only game you'll be playing is farmville.

My hopes in buying this computer is to be able to play the Sims 3 for PC and many of its expansion packs. My current system is at 2 GB of ram, has a 256mb video card, 180 GB hard drive, and processor moves at only 1.89 GHz with windows Vista; it plays the sims 3 Currently with low settings but it does play very well. This system "iBuyPower Gamer Power" seems like it would definitely be an upgrade and would be way way better to play the sims 3 and its expansions. Im currently waiting to receive this system to try it out.

This is a decent computer for the price. My 4 year old computer is still playing new games without a hitch and this is far better than mine. If you are looking for some decent specs under $500 this would be a good way to go.
