This is the first device I have used for streaming on-line so I dont really know what to expect.
Videos are very good with excellent quality. When using Netflix I find the selection process quite slow &
sometimes get dropped from my connection. But once I connect & start watching a video it is very good.

Great box, great interface, compact, nice remote.
You cannot use PLEX on it to stream content from your PC/MAC .

I bought another similiar product (not from walmart) and it did not have a third of the selections that the netgear has. Short of including a web browser it turned my flat screen tv into a smart tv able to access the programs that I like to watch through my netflix subscription and hulu-plus. I also sometimes use vudu for the latest dvd movie releases and movie trailers. It was the price that really convinced me to try it.

This Netgear streamer works, I did not have any trouble streaming but compared to my Roku players it is extremely slow loading Netflix and other channels. I also couldn't get the screen saver to work and the Netflix interface is mot as easy to use and kind of looks amateurish compared to the Roku player. Also the youtube interface I didn't care for (before you ask Yes you can play Youtube on ROKU players with Video Buzz and the interface is better than the one on the netgear player).
Bottom line is it works but I liked the ROKU players (XD and HD) much better because they operate faster and the interface to some channels are better IMHO. I ended up returning the Netgear player for a refund but if I didn't own a ROKU player first I might have kept it.

This was , relatively, easy to hook up. It works just great with my Samsung TV. I watch Net Flix

Connected to the Internet once, watched one show and then just shut off.
Tried to reconnect again and just did not work, I returned it and got the Roku.
Already had a Roku in my living room so I knew it worked great!

This is one of the best purchases that I have made in some time. It was exactly as described. I purchased the HDMI cable separately and in 2 minutes I was connected. I already had a netflix subscription and once I entered my password I was watching one of my listed favorites. I was also able to set up Pandora and now it is set as well. All of my favorite music whenever I want it. The only thing that could make this a better purchase is if the HDMI cable was included.

It was very easy to install. But if your getting this on line be sure to get the HDMI cable at the same time. It's not included in the package and if you go to the store to buy it, it's $34.00 compared to $10.00 or less on line. It's got all the popular icons people ask about. I was hoping I could add some of my own, but it doesn't look like it's possible. Will be checking into it and if I find I can, I'll update this.

I wanted to try out a video streamer before I made the leap of cutting off my cable and I am so glad I did! This baby is saving me $100.00 + a month from my cable bill.
With this box you can stream Hulu , Netflix, You Tube and a ton of other net tv, music and game streaming services. I had this now for a year and I havent missed cable tv or the BIG bill. I have the luxury to see a movie when I want to and not try to catch it when its playing or hope its on Demand ..
This Neo box on my bedroom tv and I have a Roku in my living room, so I can truly compare the two products. Both do the same thing, but I have to say, the ROKU (I paid $90 ) you do get more channels and a better remote again its was $ 50 more however you can find them at $60 .
Overrall, they are about neck and neck with picture quality and sound, they both work on my economy internet service with an occasional buffering due to my low speed and they save me money.....
My goal was to stream Netflix and Hulu wirelessly without paying over a $100 bucks for internet connectable blu ray player or upgrade to a fancy internet ready tv and my goal was accomplished!
I would say anyone who realizes they are not home enough to justify a cable bill and just want to see movies when they get home , this is the way to go!

I had been looking into a smart TV for a while but they are way too pricy for me. So I decided to go with an updated and reasonably priced TV and a streaming media player. I came across this little gem & I'm so glad I did. I had it hooked up, set up and browsing my Nexflix account in about 10 minutes. Getting Netflix set up was a breeze! Activating Vudu was a snap! There are so many channels and apps I haven't got the chance to check them all out yet. Keep in mind you must have a HDMI port on your TV. I have an LG 27 inch 720p and the picture quality with NeoTV is excelent. Using the device is very easy and user friendly. My main purpose for purchasing was Netflix. It is very simple to browse movies. All in all, I love this device. I highly recomend this for anyone looking for a great streaming player for a reasonable price. Also, I suggest a Link Depot gold plated HDMI cable (sold at walmart.com online only) if you need an inexpensive and good cable to go along with your device(s).

This thing really works like a charm. There is an automatic setup option for logging in to your wireless router that didn't work for me. I had to use the manual configuration. After performing this step everything works great. Odd, since this product as well as my wireless router are both from Netgear. So far I've only used this device to watch Netflix. However, it works great and we use it all the time. I'm considering buying additional devices for the other televisions in the house.

I am truly disappointed in this product! I bought this item to stream Netflix, hulu, etc. and the unit would always run hot, the remote was impossible to use, due to the fact that every time you attempt to press the buttons-even while pointing directly at the unit, the unit would either not respond, or it would take repeated attempts at pushing the buttons for the unit to work! This happened so often that every time I used the unit to stream/watch a show/movie, my fingers would actually be sore from repeatedly pressing the buttons, to no avail. I returned this awful unit and bought the Magnavox streamer instead. It seems to work well so far...

Excellent product. Bought this because I could not afford cable package. This has met my expectations 100% and more.
