Imported Vehicle In-dash Installation Kit, UI2225

Designed for 1988 and later Acura, Geo, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Isuzu, Lexus, Maxda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Suzuki and Toyota vehicles, as well as Chrysler imports. Fits both shaft-style car receivers and DIN/ISO car receivers with side mounts.

This product is designed to adapt to 1-DIN receiver units fitting in a 2-DIN receiver slot...basically if you have a head unit that is about the size of 2 "thin" head units, and you buy a 1-DIN (thin) head unit, then you will need this to adapt to the space...otherwise, the 2-DIN head unit will take up the gap, and this will not be required...

...basically it is a black plastic mounting rack that has a "compartment" in the bottom...but it is very thin, and has no cover, and is usually at a slant, so is pretty useless...but it is better than having crude metal showing underneath your nice new pretty head unit...

I can't remember but I believe that this may be required to actually mount the H/U to...you may want to verify that though cause if you bought a touchscreen one that is 1-DIN, it should cover that extra space anyways....

We purchased this kit to install Jensen HD5112 stereo into our Toyota Corolla, but it turned out we didn't need it at all. We ended up having to return it.

I ordered the product because it said that it would fit a toyota avalon. IT DOES NOT! DON'T BUY IT FOR THAT!!
