Better Than Expected

I've had the Fusion for a couple of months and am satisfied overall with its performance. It does what I need and more. It is not the phone for someone who constantly wants to be online. It is nice that you can surf via a wireless connection at no charge. If you are not near a wireless connection, you have to purchase data. The "texting" keyboard is tiny. The camera doesn't have a flash or a zoom. It's a nice upgrade to a smart phone from a non-smart/prepaid phone -- but it is just that. It's the bottom of the smart phone pile, but at .10 a min for phone and .20 per text, it's a great deal for someone like me who only uses $20 a month or so. I also like that I don't lose my minutes if I don't use them. They roll over as long as I re-load before they expire.

Do not purchase this phone. It is the worst phone I have ever owned. Memory space filled up after a week of owning it. Screens sometimes switch on their own. VFolume fluctuates without any prompting. Bad phone. WalMart should stop carrying it!

Not that Bad, and Not that Good

Pros: A good phone for a frugal person that wants hotspot wi-fi and a person who just wants to show everyone that they are keeping up with the latest technology. Picture quality is good.
Cons: Sounding is bad. It sounds brittle and is hard to take pictures because there is no front facing camera. Sometimes you have to hit the keyboard more than once.
Conclusion: Its better to stay where you are in terms of phones or get a phone with good sound quality. Whats the point of doing a video when the sound quality is bad? Also, go ahead an purchase a phone with a front facing camera. It would be easier if you enjoy taking pictures.

Barely gets the job done

I got this phone only because I figured it would be temporary and now I'm wondering why I didn't consider investing in a slightly more expensive phone even if just for a short time. In all fairness, it does get the job done.
I'll start with the pros: the battery life is great (then again, it doesn't do much, so there's no reason this should even be a problem); it's a legitimate android device, so there's no limit to the apps you can download (we'll get to the storage space in a bit); and it looks pretty good.
Now, for the cons. There is very little storage and, as far as I can tell, only newly downloaded apps can be stored on external storage, so the phone is almost always low on storage and only because of the apps that come pre-loaded (and that you cannot remove). And I don't keep any music on the phone, it's all on a separate microsd. It lags. All the time, and for everything. During texting, loading emails, even moving around between the home screens. Note that I don't do anything heavy with this phone - just basic tasks. The camera is pretty grainy. I don't use it much, but the one time I really needed to, the picture wasn't clear. It was embarrassingly bad. The OS is also a bit outdated, but that may not be a problem for someone who's just looking for a basic phone.
At the end of the day, the reason I wouldn't recommend this phone is that it barely does what an android sets out to do, but is pricier than a basic phone. If you're willing to spend the money, and may have a little more, I'm confident a better phone can be found for a comparable price and, if all you're looking for are the very basics, go even cheaper - this isn't worth your money, or your sanity. Dramatic, maybe, but I only wish someone had told me this seven months ago when I bought it.

Simply Amazing Phone

This was my first attempt at going from a regular, keyboard type style cell phone (LG Saber) to a Smartphone. I purchased this AT&T Fusion based on other reviews and the price. I also purchased the Straight Talk Sim Card Activation Kit (to convert it from an AT&T phone to a Straght Talk phone) along with the $45.00 unlimited talk, text & web. This phone is so simple, yet amazing with all the features and Apps it has. It didn't take long at all to figure it all out without the "dummy manual".... Im a hands on learner not a reading learner! Anyway, Fed Ex delivered within 4 days of ordering...I immediately opened the box, inserted the SIM card and called Straight Talk customer service to have it activated. Walmart had already emailed the PIN number for my 30 days of unlimited talk, text and web so I had it ready to give customer service and BOOM....I was activated!!! I'm extremely happy with this phone and my service. I'm a 40 year old mom of 4 and grandma of 3 and if I can use and understand this phone ANYONE can.

I switched from Net10 and prefer AT&T phones and service any day. The phone is smaller and lighter than I expected. The screen seems sturdy and the back is a rubbery material. It comes preloaded with a lot of apps so don't expect to download alot. The camera takes decent clear pictures and I have not had a problem with dropped calls or finding a signal. If you are looking for your first smartphone it is a good value. If you are used to an Iphone you will be disapointed.

This isn't too bad a little entry level phone for a complete Android beginner.
The phone is fairly snappy for a 600mhz processor, and the screen is quite bright.
I do have a few faults with it though:
1) The capacitive screen is NOT multi-touch, meaning you can not pinch and zoom.
2) The loud speaker is too treble and tinny sound compared to other similar phones.
3) The wifi is intermittent (goes off and on by itself).
4) The volume button located on the left side is too easily pushed when holding the phone, turning the volume down unwxpectedly.
I'll probably end up taking it back as I havent activated it yet.

I've owned this phone for about 9 months. Battery life was horrible from the beginning, even though I would say I use my phone less than the average cell phone owner would. Now, the battery is completely drained if not on a charger overnight.

Great budget smartphone

This is the first smartphone I've had, and I'm enjoying using it. I took it to an ATT store to have it set up and to transfer my contacts from my old phone. To save on 3G data usage and battery, I turned off some of the apps, like the GPS and Bluetooth, and some of the ATT apps. They can easily be turned back on when needed. I also connected the phone to our home wi-fi and will use wi-fi whenever possible. Because it doesn't have a lot of memory, it can be a little sluggish when starting up. For phone calls, the reception has been good, so far. Texting works well. The camera takes photos and videos, but it doesn't have a flash and is low-end resolution. Battery life seems good, and it recharges fairly quickly. Overall, this is a great "starter" smartphone for under $100.

I like this cheap phone more than an IPhone

I normally do not post reviews on anything I buy. Howerver, I thought this phone deserves a review by me. read my story below. I bought this cheap phone about a year ago and I liked the features. It did not drain 100 dollars a month from my pocket. ( Initially it seemed to drain the battery a lot and become very hot at the end of the day I found out it is because my wireless and GPS were on all the time. I turned off these extra features and managed my battery life well.) Then about three months later my wife washed the phone in the washing machine with my cloths and I was looking for the phone everywhere dialing the number with my land phone. Phone was dead ! Inside the glass I could see water vapour and washing powder mixture. Someone told me I have to put this in a bag of rice and I just tried and no luck ! Then I gave up every hope. Phone was left inside the car for a about a week. I still had the manufacturer's warrenty
and so oneday thought of calling the AT&T customer support. when I was calling the line I happened to plug the charger to the electric socket nearby. To my amazement, phone did power up and started to charge. Since then I have been using my resurrected and fully functional phone until now. This new years eve, I was walking inside a shopping mall and dropped the phone on concrete floor, it has happened to me before but this time glass screen hit the floor directly. Glass cracked to pieces but no piece fell apart. It was like your car windscreen in an accident. Phone appears to work without a problem. Now I do not want to dump my lucky phone even if someone offered a new IPhone 5 to me !

Works Just Fine, Tough to Crack!

I've had this phone for about 7 months. I've dropped it an endless amount of times and it still works beautifully. There's only one crack in my phone but it's very tiny and hardly noticable. The apps are easy to download, but the phone runs out of memory once you've downloaded a certain amount of apps. I've had to restart this phone many times because it does not turn on, or it freezes, but I think that's mostly because I've dropped it too many times and most likely downloaded viruses. The screen is great. Very hard to crack and very large. The color is pretty, and it's easy to customize. I do recommend this phone highly especially for clumsy people.

I got the phone to use with my regular AT&T Service. It was a way of getting a phone with the features I wanted without being locked into a contract or paying an absurd amount of money. I've been using it for about a month and it has been very stable and easy to learn. It doesn't have as large of a screen as some of the higher end phones which can make it hard to use the onscreen keyboard. I have large fingers, so I don't have a chance unless I turn it sideways for the landscape view. I have had better luck with the SWIPE input keyboard. I do wish it had an LED flash with the camera. That's really the only "feature" that's missing (flash makes a great flashlight with an app).
Has a great data management app included for monitoring your data usage. It does have a lot of "junk" apps included as well that you can't remove (without rooting the phone).
Pros:
Inexpensive for the features
Easy to learn
Good Data management app included
Cons:
Small Screen makes onscreen keyboard difficult to use.
A bit slow with intensive apps.
No Flash for Camera

Truthfully, I got this phone to get me through until I could save enough for the Samsung Galaxy. I am pleased to find that this phone has everything I need in a more user friendly size. I stick my phone in my back pocket a lot, the Samsung would be too big for that. Apps are easy to use and the phone doesn't hang up if you accidentally touch the screen with your face during the call (an experience I have had with the Galaxy). Anyway, lots of bang for your buck and no need to spend more. I do find that I have to charge it every 24-36 hours, but it's a small price to pay for the upgrade to Smart Phone.
