The Ravensburger Children's Globe Puzzleball helps your little one develop geographical knowledge, concentration and fine motor skills. The globe puzzleball features 180 extra large pieces that are numbered on the back, so she can complete the puzzle by the image or by the number. Each puzzleball piece is well-constructed, and the curved pieces fit together tightly to form a smooth puzzleball. This globe children's puzzleball comes with a base stand that makes it perfect for displaying after completion to help your child discover the world. The Ravensburger puzzleball is colorful and supports 3-D comprehension.
Challenging enough--took an hour to put together, but pedastal broke right away.

Good Social Studies activity

I used this globe as a social studies activity for my 9 year-old homeschooled son. He had a great time putting together the pieces and now uses the finished globe for reference during our social studies lessons. The only complaint I have is that it is a little small and the writing is very tiny, so it is hard to read the country names in some areas. Overall a good value though.

Great quality. The pieces are numbered on the back and the directions say to put it together by using the numbers in order. Initially I didn't like this idea as I bought it for my kids to learn geography. They already know how to count. And MANY of the pieces are exactly the same shape, so it can be a little confusing if you don't use the numbers (especially on the large water areas of the globe). But if you use the numbers to figure out the water and geography to put together the rest, it's a great educational puzzle and lots of fun.
