I order this online and received it ahead of schedule, It was very easy to set up. took me about 10 minutes. I use it on my laptop and desktop no problems. It does copy and prints; only black and white. but it does save on the high price of ink now days, and go to Sam's club for the toner or on line. we love it. this my first laser printer. thank you

It's amazing you can get a multifunction 3 in 1 at such an affordable price, especially for a college student. Every function is fast and easy to operate.

I love my new Canon imageCLASS MF 3010 Laser Multifunction Printer/Copier/Scanner. For all Mac usersI recommend using Safari web browser to download the printer driver & the scanner driver. They are both located on the same page. I over looked the scanner driver, so Canon Support helped me find it & walked me through the setup. Canon Support at Chesapeake, VA. thank you so much for your help.

Review 5 for Canon imageCLASS MF3010 Laser Multifunction Printer/Copier/Scanner
I have been using an inkjet printer for years. I have a home based business and printing documents took too long with my inkjet. Now that I am using this laser printer, what used to take almost 20 minutes to print has been cut down to 2 minutes. Very satisfied!

Review 6 for Canon imageCLASS MF3010 Laser Multifunction Printer/Copier/Scanner
The printer prints text very well, I have not tried printing graphics yet. It's very fast to print and prints fast. It also works great with windows 8 (64bit) right out of the box. I was worried because all of the specs don't mention windows 8, but everything loads right. However the printer is much louder then I was expecting. This is my first laser printer and unlike inkjets, it sounds like loud fans start up before and during printing. There is also a strong oder after printing and I have since read that laser printers may emit dangerous particulates and ozone, so use with a lot of ventilation. The actual print process makes no noise, but the fans and paper feed are quite loud. Its not bad looking, but by no means great looking compared to most modern inkjets. It's really just a matt black box. The controls are very poor. Unlike every other printer I have used, I have to look at a cheat sheet to know which button does what because instead of just saying "copy" they use cryptic symbols. I suppose I will eventually know what does what, but someone else who wants to make a copy won't know how without asking or looking at a cheat sheet - not smart Canon! Also, this unit only has a single digit display so your maximum # of copies is limited to 9, then you have to set it up again, similar priced units have multi digit or multi line displays. I would be mostly happy with this unit if it weren't for the fact that it puts two vertical creases in each piece of paper. I contacted Canon and they wanted me to mail this 18lb printer to them (at my expense). And they would send me in return a "refurbished" unit. Really Canon - I just bought this and you are going to replace it with a refurbished unit with it's own problems and I have to pay shipping - poor service. When I said this, he said just bring it back to walmart and exchange it. But it took me 15 days to get it from walmart.com and the store does not carry these. Bottom line, it's a decent unit with flaws so long as yours does not have any problems. Unfortunately, Canon does not seem to offer very good customer service. For the price you can do better. I am going to return it and try a different brand.

Review 7 for Canon imageCLASS MF3010 Laser Multifunction Printer/Copier/Scanner
I've not had it for very long, but so far so good. I tested the scanner immediately and the resulting color image was great. It isn't kidding about a quick first print. This thing has an entire page done faster than my inkjet would have the second line. Oh, and regarding the "starter" toner cartridge it comes with... expected to last 700 pages, with a full one expected to last 1600 according to the manual. That's years of printing for me (casual printing of coupons, etc...).
After years of never printing color prints but buying black and color ink that kept bleeding out and having to be refilled before I could print in black... I doubt I'll ever go back to an inkjet. At this price for a multi-function, this is excellent. Also, I didn't think it was as big/bulky as it looked in the photos once I received it and actually had a smaller footprint than my old multi-function inkjet.

Review 9 for Canon imageCLASS MF3010 Laser Multifunction Printer/Copier/Scanner
Got this laser printer after getting fed up with HP Photosmarts that had to keep being reset, would tell me the carriage was jammed when it wasn't, and would insist on a new ink cartridge after just a few uses. So far this laser is working great. It is basic: prints in black only, no wireless, have to supply your own printer cable, no paper feed, no double sided printing. The Canon support is worthless -- it won't even let me access the manual online because I have a Mac.
But the good points far outweigh the bad: compact in size -- taller than the HP Photosmart but has a smaller footprint so it takes less room on my desk, lightweight, has handles for easy moving. Holds a goodly supply of paper. Very easy to install the cartridge. I've only used it for a few weeks but it promises to produce a lot more copies for a lot less money than an ink-jet. Can set it to print in draft form so it uses less ink which works just fine for most of my printing.
Canon claims that this printer works with a Mac. But you need to download two drivers from the Canon website. And, when it still would not communicate with the Mac the Canon support people told me it was an Apple problem. I had to do my own research and download another driver from Australia (I think) and tell the Mac to use the UK driver. Fortunately, helpful people on line posted detailed instructions on how to do this.
Once I got it working with the Mac I am VERY happy with it. Best of all the price was right. Would have given it 5 stars except for the poor Canon support.

Review 10 for Canon imageCLASS MF3010 Laser Multifunction Printer/Copier/Scanner
First printer I ever bought that worked the first time I pressed the print button. THe copies are perfect and it is 3 X faster than my old inkjet printer. I bought it because I am not a heavy user and I would never get the use out of the inkjet printer before the ink would get dry or old. No more worries with wet ink.

Review 11 for Canon imageCLASS MF3010 Laser Multifunction Printer/Copier/Scanner
I was looking for a compact, inexpensive laser printer for black and white print jobs at work. I picked this printer for the price and favorable reviews. I set up the printer which fits nicely on top of my horizontal computer tower so it is compact for a laser printer. The print quality is good and the pages come out fast. The only complaint so far is, if you reuse papar (ie. print on the back sides of paper) this printer will often pull through two pages and toner "dust" gets on the papers. Its not too much of a headache because its only for drafts and throw aways but it's just something I noticed. Otherwise I am very happy with my printer.

Review 12 for Canon imageCLASS MF3010 Laser Multifunction Printer/Copier/Scanner
I needed a laser multifunction printer for a second home and did not want to pay alot. This printer was low cost and so far has done a great job. All functions are very fast and work as described. It will not get alot of use at this location so an inkjet was not a good fit with ink cartridges drying out. I used in store pickup and Walmart did a great job getting it to the store in just a few days. It is a Canon and seems very well built.

Review 13 for Canon imageCLASS MF3010 Laser Multifunction Printer/Copier/Scanner
I gave the printer 4 stars because of it's somewhat flimsy design. There are no paper trays. You open the bottom "cover" - it drops down and the paper lays at the bottom. You cannot leave this door closed with paper in it. Therefore, you cannot leave the paper in it UNLESS you're constantly using the printer. Otherwise - dirt and dust can get onto the paper which will then transfer inside the unit when printing! If you have different paper sizes you have to adjust the paper guides inside the printer on the bottom. On the front, in the middle is a push lever that flips open the paper stop guide for when printed paper dispenses (this is REALLY flimsy). I would not recommend leaving this quide out all the time as it would seem it could break with one little push in the wrong direction! The plastic is somewhat flimsy/cheaper in design which would make up for the lighter weight. I was looker for a smaller compact printer - not so much as a "lighter" printer! For the price I guess it's worth it, I just hope it holds up!!

This laser copier is awful!!!

Purchased it because of all the great reviews.. My laser printer didn't have the USB cable to set it up.. I had to order it online from Wal-mart. When I got it and tried to install it.. the copier took one paper and the paper got stuck. I fixed it and got the paper out but the stupid paper jam sign wouldn't turn off. I turned off the copier a couple of times.. but I am not going to to through this much trouble. Some people had a big complaint about this, and I too, got the same problem with this printer. Will return back to Walmart tomorrow. A big headache to deal with! Do not buy this! Spend more and get a quality printer somewhere else.

Price was very reasonable for this laser printer. Quality is great. I used it to print about 1600 invitations on very thin paper and it did not jam up at all. Excellent!

Review 18 for Canon imageCLASS MF3010 Laser Multifunction Printer/Copier/Scanner
Just bought the Canon MF 3010 to replace an HP Inkjet printer (tired of buying those color/black & white cartridges) and have owned it for about two weeks now. I don't need to have a color printer for photos anymore-I just get my photos developed at Costco inexpensively rather that buying photo paper and going through color cartridges so often (not worth the expense). It was very easy to hook-up and download software, but it does not come with a USB cord. Overall it is doing a great job on my printing needs.
