Get both the super playyard and the extension kit. The extension makes the yard big enough for me to put my lawn chair in and sit inside with my granddaughter when we are outside. Inside, I can open the whole thing up to a semi-circle and set it up (end to end) around my sofa. So, again, I can be right with my granddaughter. She loves being so close. I love that she's safe.

I have twin boys that are into everything. I bought the extension to extend the used Northgate Super Yard I bought at a yard sale. I can say the new panels definately fold easier than the used pieces. I love this gate though, my boys think it is a game to be in it. I highly recommend it.

I ordered the ext - it took twice as long to come in (site to store) as the actual gate - & it was missing several pieces - so, it's still in the box waiting for the parts..... I do LOVE the super yard - we use pieces of it all over the house to block the boys out of different areas - I suggest buying two or more of the entire yards to use vs. an ext.
