The Toshiba MK5061GSYN Hard Drive is designed for optimal performance and high durability. It offers extreme power efficiency and superior operating acoustics over 3.5-inch drives for high-end notebook PCs, gaming laptops, mobile workstations and Energy Star all-in-one and slimline desktop PCs. This 2.5-inch SATA hard drive features a 3Gbps interface to let you communicate with other systems at a rapid rate. It operates at 7200 RPM to ensure superior performance at impressively low power consumption rates, all with an ultra-fast 16MB cache buffer. The great power efficiency of the Toshiba 500GB SATA hard drive has been coupled with other environmentally-conscious solutions including RoHS-compliance and utilization of components that reduce PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and BFRs (brominates flame retardants). It also meets halogen-free standards.

Great replacement for broken laptop hard drive

My laptop fell off of a table and it damaged the hard drive. I took it to a repair shop and they were going to charge me $350 to replace. I decided to do it myself and it was so easy! This model is an upgrade from the hard drive that came with the laptop and it is definitely faster. It took about 5 minutes to install and I saved over $250 by doing it myself.
