We needed to extend the range of our WiFi in a separate space. This thing brought people in that space from a 2 to 3 level signal to 5. Just what we needed.
Please remember this strengthens signal quality! But it will not change your basic service bandwidth and internet speed.

Couldn't get a wifi signal in an attached garage because the wireless router is on the opposite side of the house. The Hawking is easy to set up and does a good job of repeating the signal from the wireless router. The laptop computer now reports 'excellent signal strength' in the garage and into the back yard. Roaming is seamless as the computer can go from the original router signal to the range extender without interuption.
