The battery would last about 20-30 minutes. The button page turner was inoperative. Pages were extremely difficult to turn by 'swiping the screen' with your finger. I returned the product for a full refund.

Horrible product!! I was so excited to find this online for my daughter (age 9) who had saved her money all summer to buy an eReader. It was less than 24 hours before the screen froze up. While using it prior to freezing, it is very slow and not impressed with Kobo application at all. Thank goodness it was within the 15 day time period for return. We returned it the next day and she ended up getting a Nook. Never again will I buy an Ematic product or anything powered with Kobo.

very easy to use until the screen cracks... and i bought two ... one cracked sitting in the car... the other i gave as a gift broke setting it down on the dresser..... definitely buy the extended screen crack warranty.. i did for the one i gave as a gift.. thank goodness.

The first one I ordered for my daughters b-day didnt even turn on. So I went to walmart returned it and ordered a second one, online. She was so excited to get this present. The second one worked a few days, I was able to add music, apps, games, which was a bit of a work out to do. I go to charge it, and give it to my daughter, and it will not turn back on, I could have cried she was so sad waiting weeks for this one present. I have to go and return it and all its accessories yet, and the warranty and try and get my money back, this product would be great if it worked for the price. I hope all goes well with returning everything. :((

I bought one of these for my daughter for her birthday, she literally used it for 2 days before we had to return it. The battery died and it wouldn't turn back on. We returned it and ordered another one. It lasted a couple of weeks so my youngest daughter took the money she had been saving and bought one. It wasn't long before we were returning her birthday gift for a second time for the same reason. Now my youngest daughter, who spent her very own money, needs to return hers, for the same reason only I am not sure if we CAN return it because there is no way to contact the manufacturer. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. While it worked, they had a blast with them, but it didn't last long at all. It is the first part of August and I am returning my third one since June!

I & several others have read the instructions for getting online & downloading eBooks on this item & after almost 3 weeks still haven't gotten any on it. Very upset as it is a gift for someone. Instruction manual is USER UNFRIENDLY.

This is good reader for what it is. I have enjoyed using it since buying it. The internet is not the best but it is far from the worse. As far as the touch screen it takes a little to get used to but once you do it is really simple. I only had to calibrate it once and it was good. The only thing that I would say it needs is a stylus to be included w/it. It would make it a lot easier to use but even w/o that it is ok. It is a good reader and I am definetly enjoying the kobo app as well as access to anything else I would like to have. Overall it is a great buy for a first time ereader/general tablet user

The company trys to sell it like it is readable in sunlight. I cant, see it ok with out glasses but cant read without my glasses. It is also heavier then they are saying. Nice interface and set up screen wise but I love reading outside so it is going back.

I bought this e-reader after reading several mixed reviews. I wish I hadn't! I took it out of the box, turned it on, tried to calibrate it and after several failed attempts to make the screen half way work, I put it back in the box. I have now sent it back for a refund! The touchscreen is terrible! Otherwise, I have nothing else to say about it.

I got this to replace a Pandigital that died after 6 months use. So far, so good. It has a decent battery life and is very thin. Great for reading eBooks and is Wi Fi connecive. I just hope it will last longer than 6 months!

My husband has a Nook Tablet and my 9 year old son uses it quite a bit. So, for his birthday, I purchased this one because it got pretty good reviews and was half the price of the Nook.
We have had the device for almost 3 months now and I am very disappointed with the device. The touch screen doesn't respond about 90% of the time. We have recalibrated it several times but it makes no difference. When you try to type on the keyboard, it can't sense which letter you are touching so it types incorrect letters. Many android applications are not compatable (Angry Birds is not compatable#. It is very slow to respond and the only way I can get books he likes is to sync it with the computer through Barnes and Noble and download items I purchased for the NOOK. The Kobo ereader site is horrible. It is very limited on sorting and searching and it hardly has any good kids books. In addition, when you go into the applications app and search for free content, many adult applications come up. I have to go searching for apps myself because there is no way to set a filter.
I am extremely disappointed with this tablet and tried to return it to walmart but I was past the 15 day return period. I purchased a month early so I would have it in time for his birthday and didn't realize there was only a 15 day return period on electronics #I thought it was 90 days). Anyway, don't spend your money on this. It would be better to invest a bit more and get something more dependable and usable.

It's important to know that the touch screen on this device is pressure sensitive, which means you actually have to press the icons to get them to work. I use the tip of my fingernail and it works just fine.

I love this wanted a kindle but to expensive. I wanted something JUST for books nothing elae this is as close as i could get. It does have internet and u can download apps but to find a specific app takes FOREVER. But its easy to read on. The app to read the books is called KOBO i also downloaded it on my phone and it is current to the page i am on in my book.

I wanted a tablet for my 3 girls who are homeschooled. We got excited about these because of the price. I should have known better! The touch screen is not accurate; it does not perform the function at the spot that you touch, but over to the side... It is hard to press, so much so that I thought that I would hurt the screen. It was SLOW for basic functions, and extremely difficult - if not impossible to type on. It is not compatible with my library checkout eBook system either. Very upset about my decision to purchase these! I would take these back, if it were not for the special 15 day return policy just for electronics and Ematics... These are substandard products and should not be sold at WALMART!

For the price I absolutely cannot complain about this device, nice, light weight ereader, people complain about the charge time, it takes about 2 hours to charge fully and the charge lasts at least on mine, for about 4 hrs of read time.
