I bought one new for a birthday present. It did not even work when opened charged it for 6 hours still no function. I notified Ematic the only way is by email they take there sweet time and reply when they want to . Walmart took care of the problem . Do not buy

This tablet started out great. My 10 year old daughter absolutely loved it. It worked great for about 10 days. But then we tried to download a Kobo book and it never finished downloading. It just kept saying "downloading" over and over. Never got the book. Tried with another book and same thing happened. Then a few days later the screen just froze. We could not turn it off or move from the frozen screen. We tried "resetting" it with the little button on the back. No luck.
On the brighter side, I contacted ematic and they were happy to send me a new one since we were within the 90 days of purchase. The process was quite easy. I am hoping that the new one will work as it is supposed to. My daughter liked this tablet so much, that she was willing to wait the 14 business days it takes for the new one to arrive. Maybe we just got a lemon. This is why I gave it average reviews.

Too slow and kids get impatient waiting!

I was searching for a pink one to order at the same time, but the color wasn't available. After receiving the blue one, I decided not to order another one. It is slow, difficult to get to the app store, there are not free apps available (as in the iTunes store for the iPad), and it didn't serve the purpose I had hoped it would. Kids are spoiled by the quickness of an iPad (which they have at school), so get impatient waiting for this to load, etc. My suggestion would be to save and add money to purchase an iPad or that type of product.

I purchased this tablet for my 6 yr olds birthday. First week it worked fine, but suddenly started getting weird gray screens and was locked up. My son has other electronics and knows how to care for them , so it wasn't user related. I promptly returned it to WalMart for a refund. I don't know who the manufactuer of this product is, but is nt worth the time or money if it only works for a week.

My 11y/o daughter saved her money and was SO proud to purchase this product. However, we were quickly disappointed as the touch screen EASILY broke (cracked). The first time we thought, things happen. Walmart easily took it back and we purchased a new one. UNFORTUNATLY, the screen cracked AGAIN within 1 week. My daughter has a friend who also bought this product and had the same experience. Neither of these children are rough kids, and as I previously stated my daughter saved her money for months to make the purchase. So, unfortuanatly we are back to looking for the right tablet in her budget.

I would not recomend this product, it was very slow. lost internet connection all the time. I had to get an extra memory card to get it to down load games. I never did figure out how to get music onto it. and the battery didn't last long at all.

not impressed with this. bought two, had to return one as screen didn't respond. replacement is ok. very little instructions with the unit and kobo has very few books for kids. kobo is the main ebook app for this machine. should have more books for kids since this tablet is aimed for kids. half of game apps don't work on this machine. music sounds good, games that do download have nice color. my kids are somewhat bored with it already. would not recommend

I had to send the first one back because it wouldn't hold an internet connection. Walmart was great about the replacement, they shipped it right away and provided a prepaid mailing label to return the defective tablet.
We took it on vacation and it worked well. Not the fastest but pretty good for the price. It gets Apps, Facebook, YouTube and email just fine. The camera doesn't take the best picture but it is a tablet afterall.

Bought the cheaper verison of this for my children age 5 & 8 for xmas and they were horrible as well. I returned them and orderthese because they were origanally what i was going to get but they were sold out a xmas. Got them home and only to find they were just as bad. Could not get it to download apps at all. Also could not find my wifi that i installed and was sitting right under the router. Not a good product at any price if it doesnt do anything!! I ended up returning these as well.

Android system was very slow. Was only marginally improved with micro sd card. Appoke Market downloads did not work. Amazon Market can be loaded as an app, but two apps that I downloaded did not work (youtube and weather plus). YouTube function took forever to load even small videos and did not play smoothly. Email function did not work (does not work with some providers such as Yahoo). I returned mine and can't recommend the purchase of this item to others.

DO NOT BUY! I ordered 2 tablets and 2 Accessory kits. One will not stay connected to the Internet, the other one's screen was busted. I called Ematic, they said they would replace the one with the broken screen for $50!! NO THANKS! It took 10 days for Ematic to return my calls and emails. They DO NOT stand behind their products. THANKFULLY Wal-Mart DOES! I took them to my local Wal-Mart with my receipts and got a 100% refund back to my debit card. It is customer service like this that keeps me shopping at Wal-Mart.

we got this for christmas for our autistic child but when we got it started up the wifi went out in 3 days and no longer could get in the internet with it the camra was very bad it would take 5 minutes to even boot up i will never buy this product again it is not worth the money

I bought these tablets for my 8 and 9 year old. These tablets work great! They are able to play many games, get on the internet, check email and with the art games it allows you to edit pictures, which they love. They seem very sturdy and they are very pleased with them. Make sure before you download anything that you put in a micro sd card. Angry birds plays well for them.

I had REALLY wanted to like this product, even having read many of the reviews already out there. Unfortunately I couldn't and ended up returning the product.
First, it took me a long time to set-up the wi-fi. While most people most likely set their routers to the standard security settings, my brother works regularly with computers and set the settings high. In order to connect to the device I had to have him downgrade the settings to psk.
Second, I had purchased the tablet for use as a color ereader. As such, I needed to be able to download ereading software as the Kobo reader included refused to download any of the books I asked it to. Luckily they were free and not ones I paid for. I knew that the Android market wasn't able to work from everything I had previously read so I was content to use the other application supplied. Unfortunately, nothing I attempted to download would despite several tries and attempted fixes. As this left me with not only no available reader but also the inability to use the device for anything else as there aren't even but two pre-installed games, the device was useless to me.
As I truly wished to like this device I tried many things in order to fix the downloading issue, including multiple factory resets. In the end though I could find nothing to work. I suppose the issue could have been isolated to my particular device and as such I might have exchanged it and gained one that worked perfectly, I did not have the energy to ship it back and then wait the time it would take to have another mailed to my house.
In the end, as much as I had wanted a color device with tablet capabilities, I decided to buy a Nook Simple Touch, use it solely for reading and leave any internet browsing or gaming to my laptop.

I got this for my son, it looked awesome. i tried for a couple of days to call the 800 # for Ematic and left serveral messages NOT ONCE DID ANYONE CALL ME BACK. this tablet can not be hooked up to wifi. i finally called my wifi company who told me that it could be done but then all the other stuff i have wifi in my home would be knocked out and have to be refigured. after 2 weeks of trying. i returned it. sad because it really looked quite impressive and my son was so upset. thanks for ruining his xmas

I wasn't expecting Ipad2 or Galaxy Tab performance, but this E-Matic FunTab just takes the FUN out of the whole tablet experience--very slow at anything you do. I bought this for my 2-yr old primarily to watch Thomas and Friends on YouTube and play toddler apps. Watching anything on YouTube is almost impossible--horrible load times even for a 3 minute video. You can't access Android Market, and the one that you can access has primitive apps. The few apps that i've downloaded did run fine. Unless you are just a glutton for horrible load times on YouTube or if you don't care about accessing the Android Market then go ahead and get this Tablet, otherwise save up and get a Kindle Fire or similar tab for $200.

I purchased this tablet for my 6 year old daughter to keep her away from my phone. Upon receiving it I could not get the Android App to open it would always give me a error that read internet could not be found. The night before christmas I was at wits end becuase my girl would not have her tablet, so I googled the ematic tab and found that some parents had found success douwnloading the Amazon App. I was able to download angry birds and a few other apps to satisfy her but I am returning the tablet because I had to pay for the apps through Amazon and they would have been free through Android. The touch pad is also very slow and sometimes acts like it does not want to work. I do like the USB port that is on the tablet and the fact that the camera does a decent job for a 6 year old. I will add the addional money and purchase a true Android tablet.

This is my first review...but I thought it would be important to write a review on these tablets. I bought two tablets for my 11 year old and 15 year old for Christmas. One of the Tablets did not work due to the screen calibration. We calibrated it several times but one of the corners did not register any touch. My 11 year old loved his, but it was extremely slow...and would not play a lot of videos from you tube. It was also difficult to download apps from the andriod market, but this could have been the his gmail settings. The boys ended up deciding to return both of their tablets for other items.
Pros- The video quality is really good
It connects to your computer via USB making it easy to transfer info and pictures
Facebook works great on it
The games that are presintalled (ant smasher) work really well
It is really durable and cute
WIFI works great
Cons - It is very slow
Touchscreen did not work correctly on one tablet
Was not able to download apps from the andriod market (Although this could have been
user error)

Touchscreen did not work correctly on one tablet
Was not able to download apps from the andriod market (Although this could have been
user error)
I would recommend saving just a little more and purchasing the IPOD Touch, it has facetime, facebook, plays videos...and connects via wifi also.

I bought this for a 6 and 8 year old.
- The system has very limited capabilities without the addition of external memory. They apps they have installed take up all on board memory.
- Camera is okay, nothing special.
- DOES NOT SUPPORT GOOGLE MARKET. You have to download Amazon apps or use their alternate "market" app. Regardless, many of the popular Google apps will not install on this device.
- Processor is very slow.
- internet browser is sub par.
- After 1 week the power switch (not button) came off.
- Touch screen is very cheap and is not very responsive.
