The adapter worked as expected. I needed a firewire adapter to connect a 6-pin firewire cable that came with a Presonus digital mixer board to the 4-pin connecter on a 2006 Dell Inspiron laptop. The adapter allowed the connection and enabled the laptop to communicate with the mixer board to control the board remotely and record all of the audio coming into the board. I was notified the adapter was ready for pick-up from my local Walmart about 10 days after it was ordered over a weekend.
