I use this everyday and have 2 of them. I have to say always use distilled water and be careful how you store it. Standing upright is best. Take off the attachments before storing. Love it!

I've only used it once but found it to be very durable. It worked very well and I love the fact I can use my own rags in addition to the ones that are included. I own several Oreck Products and they have never had any problems! I like the fact I don't have to hold down a button for steam - it's continuous!

My first Steam It Wand burnt out when I used it, as directed, to clean windows. I would not recommend this product for that purpose despite the advisement on the box. However, for steam cleaning my heavy traffic kitchen it is beautifully smooth and feels lighter than my pervious Shark. For grout purposes it is brilliant - much easier and faster than the old hands and knees method! - although it does require a ridiculous number of brushes to get the job done.

I bought this item so I could stop mopping with a bucket and get my floors really clean. It does an okay job, but I do see some residue on the floors when dry. Also, the steam does not seem to get as hot as I'd expect it to even on the highest setting.
I like it well enough, but in using it, it is not quite as I expected.

I have never owned a steam cleaner and was excited to try it for my tougher cleaning needs, like my bathroom tile walls, hard wood, and carpets. This is not for tough cleaning needs, but is great for daily upkeep. Easy to use. Multiple attachments and wands. Difficult to produce steam when using in the bathroom on wall tiles because of the unit's angle, so you need to point it down towards the floor to create the steam then swing back up to the wall multiple times.

I purchased this item for hardwood floors, but have found that I use it just as much for cleaning the shower stalls & tile floors. I also used it to lift some stains on an ottoman & carpet and it worked great, but keep in mind: this unit does NOT vacuum so don't buy it if what you're looking for a "carpet cleaner."

I love this cleaner! It's not heavy at all. There is three settings of steam. It lasts for 35 minutes which let me clean my kitchen and living room floors and then my entire bathroom. It works so well, blasting dirt and grime out of places you never knew was there! After cleaning with my steamer, I have no urge going back to a mop and bucket. I used the cleaner two day after I mopped just to pick up so much dirt from the floors like I never even mopped it to begin with. The attachments are amazing. There is something for everything!! It cleans great all around, everyone should have one!!! This same cleaner is being sold on amazon for $179 and at other online stores for more!!!! Wal Mart has the best deal and its def worth getting!!!

I have used other steam mops along with a Hoover FloorMate for hard floors, and I must admit, this is my favorite. It is sturdy, but not too heavy. The main thing I LOVE about this steam mop, is that I was able to do pretty much my whole house (there are a few rooms that are laminate that I am not sure I should use it on, and we are renting this home) which is ALL tile (except for the laminate bedrooms) and I didn't have to refill the water tank. I actually had to dump out water when I was finished!! And it did an AMAZING job on the tile!! So excited to use this product every week... I really feel like my floors are SO CLEAN afterwards. :)

Great Cleaning Tool

After reading several reviews we decided on the Oreck Steam-It, and it is living up to it's reputation. The tank holds enough water to clean our whole house, it has a long cord, doesn't leave streaks, and I like that if we need to, we can use a rag instead of having to buy specific replacement pads. We haven't used any of the other cleaning tools yet (like the grout cleaning nozzle), but that was part of the appeal (having a multipurpose cleaning tool).
Upon getting the product home, we swept and moped the floors our usual way, then used the Oreck Steam-It, and we were amazed at how much it still picked up. Walmart.com made the ordering process easy, as we couldn't find it in-store... and it was by far the best price ($30 cheaper than any other store/website).

No matter what you see or hear, do not buy this product. Grout cleaner is no good, wears down too quick. Had to replace the main head of the steamer (one we use for the floors) 2 times now and it's broke again. The little bar on it keeps burning off, you'd think the company would use a metal or something, not plastic, duhhh it's a steamer!
I'm just gonna trash it and buy something else, what a waste of money, well it did clean I give it that, but annoying having to get a new steam head for it all the time, even if it's under warranty...

I was tired of hauling around a bucket and mop. Plus, I had never cleaned my grout since sealing it 12 years ago. The Steam-It did an amazing job. I could not believe how much dirt the grout attachment removed. The whole floor looks new again and I only had to go over everything once.

We just moved into a 3,200 sft home and cleaning all this tile flour seemed overwhelming to a pregnant mom with a toddler. I got this steam vac and I am very happy with it. It was very easy to assemble. I have owned it for about 2 weeks and I have used it once. I have tried the shark steam vac (which I returned ) and before that, the traditional bucket with mop. This steam vac is an upgrade from both. I finished everything in 20 minutes when it would take me over and hour to do it before with the bucket and mop. I use distilled water with it, but it didn't use a lot of water. It picks up more dirt and makes more steam than the Shark . I am planning to scrub my grout with it next week. I can't wait to do my shower glass with it as well. Nice purchase.

This is my 4th steam mop, and I have only used it a couple times so far, but so far I am really happy with it. I have tried two Shark steam mops and they were both extremely disappointing and went straight back to the store as they did not produce near enough steam to even begin to remove any kind of dirt. The other one was a brand I got at a home show. The Oreck has been my favorite so far. It is extremely sleek and compact. Was very easy to put together. There is a dial you can use to select the amount of steam you want and there are recommendations depending on your floor type as to how much steam you should use. I have linoleum floors and still used the maximum steam setting. I don't think the lower settings produce enough steam to clean and disinfect. I did find it kind of hard to push though which is why I gave it 4 stars on meets expectations. As far as durability goes I am not sure yet.
