I purchased this camera for my daughter, as of now she has not used it but will shortly. This was a Birthday present.
She plans on taking plenty of pictures when the new baby comes.She also loved the idea of the GPS.

The memory card was very hard to put in. I changed the card for a higher memory capacity at which time the new card slipped in easily. But, the camera rejected the card saying, 'This card cannot be used.' I put the original card back in but the camera said again, 'This card cannot be used.'
I had to mail the camera to Nikon for repair.

I love this camera. Having been a previous Kodak and Cannon owner, I wondered if I would ever find something "son" proof. This camera took great underwater pictures, as well as pictures at the beach. It was nice not to have to worry about it getting sand in it, being dropped, or exposed to water. I love the color, can see it easier in my house. I have only owned this a month, but am looking forward to learning more about it. Oh, and this was the best price.

I had originally bought a Fujifilm FinePix XP20 in July but on a tubing trip the battery latch failed and the camera was compromised. Due to the great quality of my Nikon point and shoot I decided to try this camera as a replacement. I was blown away. The features are great and the quality is amazing! I've tested it in a pool and it remained dry (the battery latch is a circular dial that would be very difficult to accidentally leave open) and the pictures were clear. Furthermore, the camera battery lasted the entire day on a trip to Universal Studios.
The only con is the buttons are a little touchy and make it very easy to flip through multiple pictures accidentally when reviewing them.
