The zoom feature is fantastic, and the outdoor shots are very good. The night capability is fair. The camera, however, takes very grainy indoor photos of lower quality than my seven year old Kodak.
The continuous photo feature has too great a delay between shots. Also, the shutter response is very slow. When you press the shutter release it may take up to two seconds to snap a picture. I have kids, and it's nearly impossible to use this camera with them since they move by the time the shutter realeases. It's shear luck if you get a good picture.
I recomend the camera for outdoor use, but not of use with a family where you take many indoor photos or pictures of children.

I ordered this camera as a replacement for an older Fuji Finepix camera I used as a run-around camera. I wanted a camera that took great pictures that I could leave in the car. I have a Nikon D5100 I use as my main camera. I read all the published reviews and have to say that if you take the time to learn the camera and all it's features you'll find this camera works extremely well for the price. I do mainly outdoor Railroad related photography which includes high speed trains. I made lots of test shots picking apart all the negative reviews including the highly negatively reviewed indoor shots with an eye to returning this camera if it didn't meet my needs. I'm not going to be returning it! I haven't used the video mode yet so I can't comment on that function. I've included a photo taken within an hour of receiving my camera for this review.

At first i was very nervous about getting this camera. I really wanted a new one to take nice pictures. I didnt like the face that it took batteries instead of a rechargable battery. But the batteries last a long time in this camera. It takes amazing pictures. Great deal, great price.

Terrible Battery life

This camera itself was awesome. Took GREAT pictures, but batteries had to be changed basically everytime we use it. You can't use cheap batteries either because they don't work in it at all. Very upsetting, we sent the camera back/

Fuji won't back up the warranty

I have a Fuji S5100 for some years. It was a good old camera but the battery door latch broke and I kept using it with rubber bands wrapped around it. My wife thought it looked tacky so she bought me this new 3280 less than a year ago. The USB port malfunctioned after 7 months. Fuji says that somehow I broke it and wants 117.00 to repair. I don't know how the heck you break a USB port, in my opinion it just broke and they should fix it. I won't be buying another Fuji.

My mom bought me this camera and it is awsome ! But at the time it was $200. It is now at a good price. The quality is great and the video quality is awesome!! I would Definatly recommend this camera to anyone into photography. Although i love this camera i really want to upgrade to a Canon Rebel T2i. Anyways This camera is awesome.

I gave this two stars instead of just one only b/c it does fairly okay (and only "okay") outside. It has tons of features, but the image quality is extremely poor. Your best bet is to get a Canon Powershot. This camera is a disappointment. I'd encourage you not to waste your time.

Good for outdoor zooming use only

After I logged hours and hours of research, I selected this camera as my Christmas 2011 gift from my husband. At first, I was slightly impressed with the ability to take beautiful food photos for my recipe book, but mostly when using natural light. The flash whites out close up objects, and not using the flash causes my indoor photos to seem yellow. Outdoor photos come out fantastic, especially when zooming. I took an amazing photo of my husband and son fishing, while I was standing at a great distance from them. A few days later at an indoor aquarium, I had a completely different experience. Indoor zooming typically results in a blurry picture. There is an insane amount of time between pressing the shutter button and the photo actually being taken. I missed many potential fabulous shots. Afterall, we cannot ask a fish to float still! The camera is also rather heavy/bulky. My neck was sore after a day of it hanging around my neck, while walking around the aquarium. With so many missed, blurry, whited out, or grainy shots, it just ended up being a heavy piece of jewelry. As an avid scrapbooker and family events documenter, I think it will be best for me to research a lighter weight point and shoot that can capture moments, whether they are inside our outdoors. So far, I am considering the Canon Powershot A2300 to replace my Kodak Easyshare C182, whose battery compartment often pops open, throwing my batteries and SD card at inopportune moments.

PLEASE READ!!!!!! We purchased this camera about a week ago 4 weeks before our second lil girl is due got it today its a nice camera but the flash does not work at all we are very disappointed now we have to return it an hope to find one before our lil one gets here.... we do not recommend this camera!

Great Outdoors - Not so great Indoors

Outdoor pics are fantastic. Love the zoom & all the features. Once the camera is taken indoors the pics suffer from being grainy. Even with lights on and sun shining in windows the pics come out grainy. Do not recommend if you plan on taking ANY pics indoors. Returned immediately.

Bought this online, took 2 weeks to get here and the sound was dead out of the box, no shutter sound and the video i recorded had no sound. It had some kind of warning symbol on the screen but the manual had no info on it.
It took great pictures and video though. I don't know how it passed inspection with the sound being out. Took it back and got my money back. Might save up some more $ and get a Nikon or Cannon.
