I bought this bed for my daughter to move her from a toddler bed to a big bed. She is four and had outgrown her toddler bed. She loves her new big bed. The drawers are big and have a lot of room. From the outside it looks like 2 big drawers but there is a spacer that goes in each drawer. So it's like you have 4 drawers. It did take a long time to put together (4 hours) I am a female and I put it together myself.

I like it, recommended to be shipped to your home it is heavy for one person to carry, also need a good 5 hours to put it together , but if you bought two second one will take less time may my be two hours only, I like it much, great design

Great Bed for teenager

I purchased this bed for a teenager so she would have more storge space. I find that since she can no longer hide stuff under the bed the room looks neater with the drawers and it is easier for her to clean. I found the bed easy to put together. It only took about 2 hours to assemble and 1 hour to find the parts and make sure that they were all there. I have assembled a lot of Sauder furniture so I am pretty good at it. It is easy and I always try to turn the pieces the way the diagram is and make sure that I use the correct holes for any attachments. Work well for me. The bed is very strudy and I will probably order the headboard at a later date if she want it. Right now she likes platform beds with no headboards. Good quality and shipping with no chps or breakage.

Solid bed - give yourself time to assemble

I got two of these beds and am happy with the final result. Significant assembly time, however - probably 3 hours for the first one and even after knowing how it all went together it took about 2 hours for the second.
These beds are heavy and don't have casters. Contact with the floor is all around, and would probably ruin an unprotected wooden floor. Make sure to assemble in place, because it's going to be very hard to move them once assembled.
The two downsides are: 1) I didn't expect to have to use a drill to finish drilling out the holes which mounted the bed to a headboard (though it was clearly explained in the directions,) and 2) one of the four mounting holes to the headboard is located too closely to a drawer bracket - you can't actually use that hole to secure a headboard.

Was more difficult to put together than it should have been, the instructions were not very helpful and some of the holes were not drilled correctly. Otherwise it appears to be a good, sturdy product.

I ordered this to pick up at our local Wal-Mart. I was impressed by the additional packaging to make sure that the box and materials were not damaged during transport. My 11 year old and I assembled 2 of these in 1 afternoon with no problems at all.

The Kids Love Their New Beds

We purchased two of these beds and the kids love them. They especially love the drawers! Overall, I have been happy with this purchase. One of the support boards was cracked, but not too badly. A gap between the mattress and the bed frame is the only other problem we've experienced. I believe the gap is the result of purchasing a mattress that is too small, the fitted sheet and mattress protector are also too large for the mattress. My advice for you would be to assemble the bed frame and measure your opening before heading out to purchase the mattress!

This is all particle board that is assembled from the box with the attachment gizmos. It looks just like the picture. Drawers are not large or deep, and cannot take too much weight.

I purchased two of these beds for my girls newly redone zebra themed bedroom and I am very happy with my purchase.My neice put both of them together for me and each one took about 2hrs and she said they were very easy.We are using the drawers for socks,panties and pj's and they hold a good amount of stuff.Everyone that has seen them can't believe they were only $139 each and came from Walmart infact my neice is buying each of her daughters this same bed.

Purchased the 3 piece set for my 5 year old granddaughter. Unfortunatly we have only received the bed & are still patiently waiting (been 5 days since the bed arrived) for the rest of the set plus the nightstand to arrive! The bed is very nice & seems to be pretty sturdy. Not sure how the drawers will hold up though. It's much larger than the little toddler bed she has grown out of, it takes up alot more space in her room! It only took my husband a little over 2 hours to assemble, all you need is a phillips head screwdriver & a hammer. Overall it is a nice bed for the price. I can't wait for the other pieces to arrive!

The finished product looks great but it's made of particle board so not sure how long it will hold up. My 3 year old loves her first big girl bed. Many parts were not labled and the directions were difficult to follow. It took my husband several hours to get it done. The most difficult part was the drawers assembly because the wheel and the rollers directions were incorrect in the instruction manual. Overall we like the bed but would like to see easier instruction and more labeling.
