Very good value and easy to install

I looked at my local Walmart store and could not see spending so much for what was in stock. I went on-line and found ATB150S for much less. I installed it along with a new antenna this morning and it was not very difficult at all. I highly recommend this to a person with some knowledge about electronics. Less knowledgeable people might need some support.

The converter works great. easy to hook up and gets great reception. Gets very good HD reception.
My neighbor is 90 years old and recently lost his wife. The hospital and burial expenses depleted his savings. He had to turn off his cable leaving him without anything to watch. He told me about him and his wife watching the andy griffin show together and several other heart warming shows.
I told him about the converter box I had and gave him mine. I also went to walmart and purchased him another one for his big tv in the living room. Seems very happy with this free TV setup.

It took me a couple hours to get the box operational. Instruction manual should be re-written. After getting the converter box operating, I was impressed at the additional channels I picked up. The box must have some receiving signal amplify technology.
After 8 hours of great operation I turned it off. Next day it would only flash 'boot' then '----' and the power light remained red. This box went to converter box heaven, kaput, finshed, no longer operational.

the converter box doesnt change channels very well.Seems to get stuck on one channel and won't change. Product is not very sturdy. Cheaply made. I can't use it

This converter box has features that a brand name converter box I purchased some time ago didn't have. The only thing I don't like is that when you hit the info button on the remote it doesn't pop up and give you details of the programming of the shows. Other than that it's a great product for the price,

The box over heated and had a steady low level buzzing sound over the TV speakers. It was easy to setup. Returned it to the store and bought a digital TV.

This is the most economical solution to be able to use a TV that only has an analog tuner. It's a little slow changing channels. If that's not an issue, then this would be a great choice. Setup was very fast and easy.

She is returning the converter box. Apparently it is not compatible with her service provider. She is asking that the money be credited back to my debit card. It will be interesting to see if Walmart completes this process in a timely manner.
