Whiteout instead of Blackout

Purchased these thinking that they would be a great way to keep the bedroom dark for my son and have a bit of style. I don't understand how the company can advertise "99% of light" when they do little more than a thin cotton curtain would. Additionally, the lining on the back is quite rigid, causing them to hang stiffly like a plastic shower curtain would. Very disappointed and will be returning them.

It said blocks 99% of the light...did not...maybe 25%. That was the whole reason I ordered.

Bad choice for a child's room.

I was disappointed with this product because the material of the curtain was not a soft, touchable, cloth-like fabric, but instead a stiff, scratchy material that does not hang well, nor is it easily moved on the curtain rod to be tied back from the window. The blackout quality is good, but this product is not a good choice for a child's room as they can not easily be washed and are still stiff and creased even after following "washing" instructions and letting them air dry. I am also disappointed with the Wal-mart dot com delivery service of this product as I ordered 4 curtain panels, but have only received 3 panels.

Don't block out light and smell bad!

I bought the purple with polka dot curtains for my toddler's room. They look nice but that is it. The main reason I bought them is because the packaging made the claim that they block out 99% of light. This is completely false and I would like to know how this company is allowed to make such a false claim right there on the front of the product. These curtains blocked hardly any light at all. Another unsatisfied reviewer said that they had a bad "corn chip" smell and she was right. These curtains smell awful. Even after washing them there was a constant bad smell in my daughter's room. I returned them today.

These are cute, but definitely not black out curtains. They will work for now, but you really get what you pay for.

Ok I read many reviews and went to the store to buy these so I could look at them. You get one panel in the package and true they do not block all the light. They do feel somewhat cheap but hey they are... They are really cute in my little girls room and she loves the polka dots. We have blinds behind them so a lot of the light was already reduced by them. I had the sheer curtains in her room until this morning at 7 am (when I wanted to sleep in) and she said the sun is up mama I can get up. I figured with these the sun would be block some so that it didn't wake her up. I feel they will do just what I purchased them for. If you have ever bought the cheap table clothes (not the $1 ones) but the ones with the material on top. That are similar to those but thicker. They back is not plastic but a thick vinyl (I think) If you want a nice complete black out curtain these are not for you but if you are looking for something that is inexpensive and will reduce the light and still look cute you may want to check these out. Good luck on looking.

"Corn Chip" Smelling Curtains.

Am I the only person who thinks these curtains have a funny smell? I have washed them 3 times already, since hanging them - to try and get rid of the "corn chip" smell they have. It's very disappointing, as it's making my nursery smell weird. :( I even washed them using vinegar, hoping it would eliminate the smell altogether. No luck so far. They don't keep out the light as advertised, but I do think they're a cute addition to the room - my biggest issue with them is the smell. Just wondering if anyone else noticed it and had this problem? And if so, were you able to get rid of it?

These are too stiff. They don't flow pretty on the window. Also they don't block out light at all.

Cute but do not block out sun

We got the green polka dot curtains for our child's room. They are very cute but do not block sunlight. The window faces west, so we get lots of light in the evenings, and these barely make a dent in either decreasing temperature or light. They are stiff, so I found it difficult to take the creases out - but a good steamer did the trick. I've kept them since I have not found better ones and they match Target's green polka dot changing pad perfectly.

Review 12 for Eclipse Kids Dots Blackout Thermal Window Panel
there are polka dots on these curtains...they are white and a little bit smaller than a pencil eraser in diameter. I bought the pink ones...and they are a little purple-ish. But will work. (might be because the walls in the room are yellow, plan to paint them white). They don't completely block out light. and I didn't see them in a shorter length, so I bought them and hemmed them myself. I might use the scraps to make matching pillows...they do have a plastic, tablecloth feel to them... it would have been nice to feel more like fabric. BUT I like them. Throw them in the dryer with a moist towel, dryer on low setting and check often (I didn't have any problems, but just to make sure they aren't getting too hot and melting/sticking together). This helps get the wrinkles out.

Review 13 for Eclipse Kids Dots Blackout Thermal Window Panel
I bought these curtains for my granddaughter's new room. They are keeping out the cold from dafty windows and blocks out the light for her afternoon nap. They have met all of my expectations as I knew they would. I also have bought this brand and type of curtain for my bedroom when I worked nights.

Review 14 for Eclipse Kids Dots Blackout Thermal Window Panel
The color of these curtains is great, but even before touching them in the bag, they looked like a vinyl tablecloth. They felt like plastic and looked like plastic. They were even very stiff. A vinyl tablecloth has the exact look and feel. I returned them, very disappointed.

Review 17 for Eclipse Kids Dots Blackout Thermal Window Panel
The reviews for these curtains mentioned the fabric but I figured they were exaggerating. They were not. They are extremely plastic-like to the point I can't use tie backs without them looking ridiculous. The color is true though. The polka dots are bigger than I thought they'd be but visually they look cute in my daughter's room. I would spend a little more next time and get some better curtains.

Although properly titled, the picture does not match the product. These curtains have white dots all over them, which was not what I was looking for. Disappointed the picture did not match the product, luckily, WM has a great return policy.

Do not block out light

Super cute. I'm keeping them bc I like how they look in my girls room. They do NOT block out any light. I have cardboard up and blinds closed... still tons of light in the room. I'm now adding aluminum foil to the windows to block the additional light. We need it pitch black.
