Great curtains for blocking shadows and sound

We have a room on the alley and I needed some curtains so people outside couldn't see movement in the room at night. Other curtains allowed people to still see shadows, but these curtains don't allow people to see anything in the room. Not only do these curtains act as a protection for the room, they are also very nice looking inside the room. I was afraid they would make the room too dark, but because of the light ivory coloring, the room is actually bright. They lend a classy look to the room. The curtains also greatly muted the conversations in the alley which was a nice feature.
In addition to the blockage of shadows from the outside, the muting of sound, and the classy appearance, the curtains were very easy to hang. They quickly came in the mail and we had them hanging in 15 minutes. I chose to not put them in the dryer to release the wrinkled because I wanted to block the outside as soon as I received the curtains. I was planning on putting them in the dryer the next morning, but by that time, most of the wrinkles were out and by the next evening, I couldn't even see any visible wrinkles.
I LOVE these curtains and if I needed more block out curtains for another room, I would definitely purchase the same type. If you are in the market for good looking curtains to protect against people seeing shadows in a room at night and/or to muffle outside sounds while maintaining a classy appearance inside the room, then these are the curtains for you!

Great for AZ sun

Stylish and colorful these fig drapes were exactly what I needed. My living room gets so much sun and heat living in Phoenix that this is the only cost effective way to keep the room cool. Will be buying more soon. They are not completely blackout, when the sun shines directly through them, light still comes through. They work better in midday when the sun is shinning down. That's the reason for 4 stars and not 5.

Black out curtains

They are well made, keep the light out, and come in nice colors. The quality appears to be well done. They are a little shinier than they appeared in the store, but may tone down as they age and/or are washed.....Says they are completely washable and that is a plus. Arrived quickly and well packaged. Very satisfied with the product and the service....

Maybe not true blackout.

These are not true blackout but definitely darken the room. There are small gaps or holes in the fabric that show up as white spots when lit from behind. This appears to be the nature of the fabric and not damage. It does not bother us. These do a better job or keeping the cold out that the light. As thermal drapes they work well. Hope they work as well against heat come summer. I appreciate the fact that there are two ways to hang these. A full length gathering placket and hidden loops in the back to make folds when the panels are open.

I am surprised at how well these keep out cold drafts. I have had the curtains up for about 3 weeks now and have noticed a difference in temperature. I got them specifically for this winter...to help me save some money during it. Lord willing I will get more Eclipse curtains in the future as I am able to.

Nice Curtains, Good Price

Although these curtains don't block the sunlight completely, they do cut down on the light substantially.
The material is beautiful, nice heavier weight and good quality. Some of the stitching is a little off but I only noticed this when I was ironing them, they hung just fine.
Overall, these are the best curtains you will find at this pricepoint.

Curtain works as advertised. I'm currently renting a house & I had to buy 4 panels (which was a little pricey) for 2 single windows. If the width had been 2 - 3" wider, I could have saved $60. They also fell a little short. I prefer my curtains to just barely touch the floor, not the top of the baseboard. In spite of all that, they block the light & heat great. I would recommend them for light darkening purposes.

These curtain panels look good - they drape nice and the 'loops' give them an interesting texture. However, they are definitely not "black out" curtains. They let quite a bit of daylight in the room.

These curtains are great, they have made a dramatic difference in my electricity bill and in keeping my house cool. But the thing I love best about them is that they keep the sun out of my bedroom in the morning when I'm sleeping and allow me to sleep in on my days off! I would and have recommended them to friends
