This Scotch Laminator is a great buy, it works great. I used it the first time and ran 75 sheets thru it in no time, it done a great job. Very pleased! I highly recommend.

The item heats up in about 4 min which is not that long. Then when ready to go it has guides on it to help you place your item exactly where it needs to go. Then you only have to put things through it one time for it to seal. The pouches work great. I use it for home. I home school my children and use it for charts and pictures works great. I have used it on actual photo pictures and there is no damage at all. I have laminated flash cards works great and i have made a binder of all laminated pages and my daughter uses them like a dry erase board.. you just have to have the right erase markers. love the product works for what i need.

Sucessful Toner transfer for PCB

I bought this laminator on a hunch, without any recommendation, to use for transferring Laser/toner printouts to copper clad PCB's. I had wanted to try using a laminator to make PCB's but was put off by buying one through the mail - these are stocked at Walmart (usually#. Right out of the box, without any "mods" to the thermostat, and using cheap paper I cut out of a magazine, I got a great, clean transfer which made a really nice board. On the 5 mil setting a 1/16" double sided copper clad board fed right through like this machine was made for it. I fed the board through probably, 10 times and when it cooled the magazine paper popped right off without soaking and about 99% of the toner had completely transferred to the board - there was no toner left on the paper. I was pretty astonished #in a good way# and Im left wondering if Scotch got smart and some of this performance wasn't engineered into the machine #this is version 2 of this machine#...probably not but no matter...it seems to get just hot enough for a clean transfer...if I can repeat these results I wouldn't even think of modding it..

I have only used this once and laminated about 20 sheets of card stock. I used it from start to finish without any problems whatsoever. It warmed up quickly and worked like a charm.

I had been putting off buying a laminator as I thought it would cost a lot more. This one is a fabulous price (cheaper than other un-named stored with a bullseye symbol, for the same product), and it works wonderful. I have ran several different items through it will a lot of success. It also has a release lever in case a jam occurs (which happened with my old one, but not this one). Very well designed.

Works great. Can't beat the price. Two rollers make sure laminate is even. The page being laminated takes a little jiggling to get it to feed into the machine, but that's a minor issue. Heats up in about 5 minutes, which is a plus.

I just used this one time to laminate 36 pictures and it worked wonderfully. It would be nice to have had a few extra laminate sheets to come with it or an assortment of sizes. Nice and small and very light weight so it's easy to move around.

I had been looking for a laminator to purchase for a home office. After reading the many positive reviews on this Scotch Thermal laminator, I decided to purchase. It is easy to use, compact and best of all very affordable. I love the fact that you only have to place your article in the pouch and then into the laminator. And, there are several different sizes of pouches that you can also buy. I would highly recommend this product.

I am a special ed teacher and constantly need to laminate things. This laminator works even better than our giant one at school! It heats up within 5-8 minutes, and there are never any bubbles/air pockets in the final product. It's also very user-friendly and you can have it out of the box and up and running within minutes. A fantastic value especially for the price. A steal if you ask me.

I have owned my laminator for several months now and must admit that this tough guy is doing awesome work. I use it almost daily and it rarely jams anything which says a lot because my kids sometimes feed things the size of their shoe through there! I love the quick release button. That helps when you start to see your document slipping down crookedly you just hit the release and Ta-da! And it is definately cute and portable. When not using it folds down and cord wraps inside so I set it in corner standing up on its side and you cant even notice it is there. Only flaw is warm up time...maybe about 6-7 minutes. Could move faster.

I've lam'ed 10 sets of sideline sheets so far (I'm a coach & bought it only to lam our sideline "cheat-sheets"). Heats up quickly and has worked great our first two weeks. I use the 5mm setting to ensure a proper seal. It cools down quickly, I put it back in the box, and take it out the next Friday. If it gets me through just one season, it will be worth the $30.

This is my first purchase of a laminating machine and I really like it. What I liked most about it was the price. For both the machine and the laminating sheets I believe I paid around $40. It's not very big for one so it doesn't take up very much space. It's very simple to operate. The machine itself does not take long to warm up with two different settings depending on the thickness of what you are laminating. I have laminated my childs artwork, photos, postcards and have yet to come across any difficulties. It also has a carrying handle and nice storage for the cord in the back. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.
