It worked like a charm when I first got it. But now the video won't show and it freezes on both blu-ray and dvd movies 5 months later.

Granted, I've only had this player for less than 2 weeks, but so far it's more than exceeded my expectations. The fact that it plays any disc I put in and loads within 5 seconds is good enough for me. We'll see how it holds up over time.

OK, most other reviews for the player are negative, but it does what I bought it for. It plays DVD's and BluRay DVD's. It does it well and I have had no problems with it. Have had it for about a month now. I have not fooled with the online stuff, nor do I really intend to.

Works well and easy to set-up and use. I wish the remote could open/close the disk tray, but this is minor. Have not tried any of the internet connection capability because a wireless adaptor would cost as much as the player did. Satisfied with it.

My big issue is that it isn't wireless as they say. One must buy a $60 adapter from Samsung to make it wireles, as much as the disc player costs.

absolutely stunned at the Samsung BD-D5250C Blu Ray player. It looks like brand new, very easy to set up with the HDMI cable and has a beautiful picture and sound on my HDTV with a home theater speaker system. The price was the reason I got it, I have other DVD players but not Blu Ray, my old player wouldn't play some of the DVD rentals so I needed to get something that would. Why not get a Blu Ray player at this price? Very Pleased with how easy it is to use. It doesn't matter if the remote doesn't have an open/close button because you need to get your disk out of the machine anyway!
