Good bike for the money spent. Relatively easy to put together. The main flaw is the front fender has no support. One small bolt thru a small bracket is all that holds it on. If you bump it even slightly it gets out of whack and starts rubbing the tire. I see this coming off soon. Other than that it's a pretty decent bike.

Not a lot of expectations. Paid a little and got a little better than that. The fender interfered with the tire numerous times. Bent in shipping, but works well to divert the road water. Don't buy if sensitive to chemical smells. Must be from the rubber. After (1) week still potent.

This is a sturdy bike for a 200 pound man. The only warning is we thought the bike was red and black as shown but it is a dark orange and black. That may have been a determining factor but didn't feel like re-shipping it.

Great Bike for the Price with Limitations

This is a lot of bike for 100 bucks. The tires, tubes, wheels, and seat are probably worth more than $100. This is just a basic bike with a single speed and rear coaster brake. The simplicity as well as the aluminum frame makes for an extremely light bicycle. You can curl it with one arm. The bike was easy to assemble and once finished seems to be solid. I am going to check the headset and bottom bracket for tightness and proper lubrication just to be safe. The bike is listed as a Men's cruiser bike but it is more like a 7/8 full size bike. When measuring my mountain bike and comfort bike from stem to seat post they measure are 24 inches. This bike measures 22 inches. The wheelbase on my other bikes is around 46 inches while this one measures at about 44 inches. I am 6'2" and I don't necessarily feel cramped. A nice accessory to add is the Bell handlebar basket. It fits like a glove, comes in white or black, and is sold by Wal-Mart. The basket has a handle and is removable with the quick release button. It is great for carrying a beach towel, sunscreen, or just making a run to the convenience store.

My 14 year old son was looking to buy a cruiser bike to replace the Mtn. bike he outgrew and ended up buying this Kent La Jolla cruiser bike. It was ordered on a Friday for ship to home and we received it 3 short days later. To start off, I have to say that this is the first time we've had a problem with any items ordered online from Walmart...We got the bike with the front fork slightly bent on one side, several very noticeable scratches in the paint and NO SEAT!!! I will be getting in touch with my local Walmart to see what can be done.

I bought this for my son who is hard to please, but this bike did indeed please him! The colors are great, and the custom sproket really makes it look like a more expensive bike. My son has had no problems at all with this bike and loves it!

Box that the bike came in was bent some what, but when I got the bike out of the box did not know the rear wheel was bent, had to get new tube the other tube had been pinched when putting air in same, after the bike was put together found out that the wheel was bent. Just put it together this past weekend.

I liked the bike on the whole looks-wise and ride wise and assembly pretty easy and fast. The this is I got a distorted rear wheel on my first order and had to exchange for a new one. But the new one had some other issue with a cranking and annoying sound. I decided to return it back and get a different bike. Sorry Kent but I cant help it!!

Comfortable, stylish ride for under $100

We've had the Ladies and Men’s La Jolla bikes for several months and are, overall, very pleased with them! We are both 50+, 6’ tall and use them for cruising around the neighborhood, which is pretty flat - and that is a good thing as single speeds make you work on inclines!
Pros:
- Very stylish
- Comfortable seats and ride
- Simple construction
- Great value for less than $100.

- One bike had a defective front tire and trying to get this resolved with the local Wal-Mart was a true comedy of errors but finally they suggested calling the manufacturer who gladly sent a replacement tire free of charge.
- The flimsy front fenders need to be adjusted fairly often to stop them from rattling.
- Neither bike contained the supposedly included 5/6mm hex wrench.
- One of the fender screws was improperly milled, and did not allow the use of the screwdriver.

Assembly is really pretty easy, but here are a few tips:
- Things to buy (if you don’t already have them) before you start: bike lubricant or grease, tire air pump & gauge.
- Our kickstands were already assembled thus no need to do anything (instructions state otherwise).
- Women’s bike instructions don’t mention installing the basket, but it is very easy to do with, however it should be attached at the same time as the fender.

This bike is awesome. I cannot believe how inexpensive this was and such a nice big bike. Its really good looking too, and light weight. The colors pop and make it look so cool. Everyone stares at this bike. Smooth and easy to ride, the gear ratio is perfect. GREAT DEAL!

The bike looks cool, rides well, and was easy to put together. For under $100 including shipping, it is a great value. The only problem is that the front wheel warped during shipping and it was totally wobbly. It was a hassle to true the wheel. I know how to do this, but if you are not familiar the bike would have been unrideable.

Okay, the reviews are so so online and I'm not the one to complain but this us the worst purchase I've ever made and i spend my money on booze and magic beans... The bike seriously fell apart after a week, steering thing and the bike seat are completely tore up from the floor up... Looks good ulocked to a pole but other than that its junk

Great review comments. Got me laughing and thinking about my own LaJolla. It's got the aluminum frame with the copper swirl finish. Looked good in the store, which hooked me. There's something wrong in the rear hub of mine that started chattering under heavy breaking. Now the thing clings and clangs with every rotation of the pedals. What a piece of junk. My real bike interests concern old Schwinns with great paint and excellent chrome. Sure they cost a small fortune, but at least I have some pride in the ownership of them.
