i am not an avid cyclist, obviously if i'm buying such an inexpensive bike, but as far as bike riding goes, this bike is great. it does the trick and looks really stylish. i have been riding it for a couple of weeks and have totally enjoyed it. hope it keeps up the good work.

Wheels have holes in it no air. Pieces of the bike are broken beyond repair. No instruction manual to put the bike together. This is my first time buying a bike without instructions so now I have to get it put together from somewhere else. But before that I have to get replacement parts for the broken pieces. Thank you I bought a replacement plan. Hopefully the plan works.

We've had the Ladies and Men’s La Jolla bikes for several months and are, overall, very pleased with them! We are both 50+, 6’ tall and use them for cruising around the neighborhood, which is pretty flat - and that is a good thing as single speeds make you work on inclines!
Pros:
- Very stylish
- Comfortable seats and ride
- Simple construction
- Great value for less than $100.

Cons:
- One bike had a defective front tire and trying to get this resolved with the local Wal-Mart was a true comedy of errors but finally they suggested calling the manufacturer who gladly sent a replacement tire free of charge.
- The flimsy front fenders need to be adjusted fairly often to stop them from rattling.
- Neither bike contained the supposedly included 5/6mm hex wrench.
- One of the fender screws was improperly milled, and did not allow the use of the screwdriver.

Assembly is really pretty easy, but here are a few tips:
- Things to buy (if you don’t already have them) before you start: bike lubricant or grease, tire air pump & gauge.
- Our kickstands were already assembled thus no need to do anything (instructions state otherwise).
- Women’s bike instructions don’t mention installing the basket, but it is very easy to do with, however it should be attached at the same time as the fender.

If you are looking for a simple, basic bike this is it - no bells and whistles with this retro looking cruiser, but it does have a plastic basket! Wowza Fazoo!! Easy to assemble. The quality is on par with the cost of less than $100 - adequate.

It is a nice riding bike. I'm 72 and haven't ridden one for a long time but thought it would be good for exercise and balance. I like having the basket without having to buy a separate one and get it attached. It was very nice to have it all put together to be picked up rather than packed in a box and have to find someone to assemble it for me. I have had a little trouble with the top bar in getting on and off. It seems like it is higher than what I used to have.

Important missing piece

The only reason, so far, I give this bike a poor review is because it arrived missing the SEAT. In addition, there was no manual or instructions included in the bike I received.
Because this was a site to store purchase, the only recourse is to speak with the manufacturer, which I will be doing on Monday, or bring the bike back to a store for a return, and reorder.
I hope that the manufacturer will be able to send a seat post and seat and any type of instructions that were supposed to come with the bike.
Upon visual inspection, the bike appears to be reasonably well-made, though, of course, I wasn't able to ride it to confirm.
On a positive note, once I reached a shift manager at our local Wal-Mart, she was helpful.

The bike is light and is great for a cruise through the campground or around town. Hers was more difficult to assemble than my man's version. The chain and rear tire are already bolted on but the chain was adjusted way too tight. It would have been difficult (near impossible) to pedal as shipped. Air the tires up before adjusting and tightening the fenders or you will get a rubbing sound. For the price this bike is hard to beat.

I loved the color sceme for this bike. It came within a few days and was not difficult to assemble. Riding it is fun. I am having to get used to foot brakes as my past bikes had the hand brakes (that is not the fault of the bike). Also if you are going from a bike that changes gears and then going to this you will notice going on hills more :) you have to put in a little more "people power". Overall I really love this bike and would recommend it.

Decent deal for a decent bike

I had it shipped to home and managed to largely assemble it by myself using a few basic tools. I couldn't find the hex wrench in the box and so had to borrow one, and I still feel the seat wiggling occasionally, but it's been making my 6.5 mile (round trip) commute pretty well. The instructions didn't make it clear how to attach the basket but it wasn't too complicated. Make sure everything is tightened before you take it for a spin, nothing scarier than having your handlebar come out of alignment halfway through crossing a street.

I bought the same bike when I got home and my poor husband 73 yrs young assembled this one also was very upset ,the rear tire would not hold air (he said it couldn't be the front it had to be the back) .( I wrote to your company and go get a tube was the response),)big deal he still had to put it back together at minimum wage ,he should at least have made $20.00 .I would not have bought another one if I hadn't like the first one. The seat has something to be desired! Ok bottom line its been toooooo cold in ILL to ride it, so we'll see.

We bought this bike for my 12 year old daughter. Even though she absolutely loves it now, it was a big pain to put together. Once we finally got it together the back tire kept getting stuck. We put some WD-40 on and it seems to have helped for the moment but she has only ridden it once since we put the WD-40 on it so we will have to see.

Ordered on a Wednesday on walmart.com, arrived the next day in great condition. Bike is well built, basket isn't as small as I expected which is a plus! Husband put it together in no time. Can't wait to ride it! Great colors, and nice value!

I bought this Kent La Jolla Women's cruiser bike for my 17 year old niece, she's trying to loose weight so I figured riding a bike can help out, it's a cheap brand but for under $100 before taxes its a nice bike, the assembly is extremely easy, no hand brakes or discs breaks to deal with so no wiring either, simply mount the front tire, handle bar, seat, foot pedals and basket done! took about and hr.
So far so good but will update the review later on once she starts to use it more frequently in case anything happens, so for now it only gets 4 stars including value and 3 for expectations until further notice.
